Cable Remote Control FB-01 SWD

Intended Use
This cable remote control is exclusively intended for the easy activation and deactivation of
VOLTCRAFT inverter series SWD 300-2000 VA. The remote control is suitable for both 12 V
and 24 V types.
Two LED indicators show the inverter state at the input and output terminals.
The connection is made via a 6-pin cable directly on the inverter.
Any other use than described above is not permitted, it could cause damage to the product and
personal injury. No part of the product may be modified or converted!
Do not use under adverse ambient conditions.
Adverse ambient conditions are ambient temperatures >50°C, moisture or excessively high
humidity (relative humidity >80%), dust and flammable gases, vapours or solvents as well as
thunderstorms or storm conditions.
The safety instructions are to be observed without fail!
Safety Instructions
Please read all of the operating instructions before using the product for the
first time; they contain important information about the correct operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequential
damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty
will be void in such cases.
This device left the manufacture’s factory in a safe and perfect condition.
We kindly request the user to observe the safety instructions and warnings contained in these
operating instructions to preserve this condition and to ensure safe operation. Please pay
attention to the following symbols:
A triangle containing an exclamation mark indicates important information in these
operating instructions which is to be observed without fail.

The “hand” symbol is used to indicate where specific hints and information on handling are given.
The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the device is not allowed because of safety
reasons.
In vehicles, never attach the remote control to safety-related surfaces such as airbags, since
this could lead to serious injuries in the event of an accident.
The remote control is only intended for use in dry indoor areas.
Keep the unit out of the reach of children. It is not a toy.
Do not leave packaging materials unattended. They could become a dangerous playthings for
children.
The remote control is not appropriate for commercial use. It is only approved for private use.
If you have a reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it
immediately and secure it against being operated unintentionally. It can be assumed that safe
operation is no longer possible if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device no longer functions and
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress in transit.
You should also heed the additional safety instructions in each chapter in the operating
instructions for the inverter.
Never switch the device on immediately after it has been taken from a cold into a warm
environment. Condensation that forms might destroy your device. Allow the device to reach room
temperature before switching it on.

Operating Instructions
Description of the Parts

Connection
Only connect the remote control, to the disconnected inverter, when it is
switched off (switch position “0”).
When installing the connecting cable in vehicles, make sure no safety-related
equipment is impaired . Use rubber grommets in cable bushings to prevent
chafing of the cable.
The remote control is connected to the inverter via the supplied connecting cable. The two connectors on the cable have reverse voltage protection.
Plug one end of the connecting cable into
the socket (3) on the remote control and the
other end into the socket for the cable
remote control FB-01 SWD on the inverter,
until they click into place.
To disconnect the plug, press the small
plastic bar on the plug.

The connecting cable is a 6-pin cable, with a length of 4 m ex-factory. If this is not
sufficient for your application, a longer cable of up to 10 m can be used. The contacts on the plug are 1:1.
Getting Started
Switching the inverter on and off
The inverter can be switched on and off by both its own operating switch and the remote control.
The two operating switches are equivalent. The inverter is turned on as soon as a
switch is placed into position “I”. Therefore, always place the operating switch on
the inverter in position “0”, if you want to use the remote control.
The inverter is switched off only when the two operating switches (inverter and remote
control) are in position “0”.
The green status indicators on the remote control correspond 1:1 to the green indicators on the
inverter. The status options are as follows:

Maintenance and Cleaning
You do not need to service the product, apart from occasional cleaning. Use a soft, antistatic
and lint-free cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaners.
Disposal
Electronic products are raw material and do not belong in the household waste.
When the device has reached the end of its service life, please dispose of it,
according to the current statutory requirements, at your local collecting site.
Disposal in the domestic waste is not permitted!
