1. BESTIMMUNGSGEMÄSSE VERWENDUNG

Das Produkt dient zur Messung der Umgebungstemperatur (in ºC oder ºF) und der Umgebungsluftfeuchtigkeit. Außerdem können die minimalen oder die maximalen Messwerte des jeweiligen Messvorgangs angezeigt werden. Die Spannungsversorgung erfolgt über eine 9V-Blockbatterie.

Das Produkt entspricht den gesetzlichen, nationalen und europäischen Anforderungen. Alle enthaltenen Firmennamen und Produktbezeichnungen sind Warenzeichen der jeweiligen Inhaber. Alle Rechte vorbehalten.

Aus Sicherheitsund Zulassungsgründen (CE) ist das eigenmächtige Umbauen und/oder Verändern des Produktes nicht gestattet. Eine andere Verwendung als oben beschrieben ist nicht erlaubt und kann zur Beschädigung des Produkts führen. Darüber hinaus ist dies mit Gefahren, wie z. B. Kurzschluss, Brand, Stromschlag usw. verbunden. Lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung genau durch und bewahren Sie diese für späteres Nachschlagen auf.

Personen / Produkt

•Das Produkt ist kein Spielzeug und sollte von Kindern ferngehalten werden!

•Das Produkt darf keinem starken mechanischen Druck ausgesetzt werden.

•Das Produkt darf keinen extremen Temperaturen, direktem Sonnenlicht, starken Vibrationen oder Feuchtigkeit ausgesetzt sein.

•Gehen Sie vorsichtig mit dem Produkt um. Durch Stöße, Schläge oder dem Fall aus bereits geringer Höhe wird es beschädigt.

Batterien

•Entfernen Sie die Batterie, wenn Sie das Gerät längere Zeit nicht verwenden, um Beschädigungen durch Auslaufen zu vermeiden. Auslaufende oder beschädigte Akkus können bei Hautkontakt Säureverätzungen hervorrufen. Beim Umgang mit beschädigten Akkus sollten Sie daher Schutzhandschuhe tragen.

•Bewahren Sie Batterien außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf. Lassen Sie Batterien nicht frei herumliegen, da diese von Kindern oder Haustieren verschluckt werden könnten.

•Nehmen Sie keine Akkus auseinander, schließen Sie sie nicht kurz und werfen Sie sie nicht ins Feuer.

Versuchen Sie niemals, nicht aufladbare Batterien aufzuladen. Es besteht Explosionsgefahr!

•Eine Reparatur des Geräts darf nur durch eine Fachkraft bzw. einer Fachwerkstatt erfolgen.

5. Batterie einlegen / wechseln

1. Entnehmen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel von der Rückseite des Gerätes. 2. Setzen Sie eine 9V-Blockbatterie ein.

3. Schließen Sie das Batteriefach.

Wechseln Sie die Batterie, sobald das Batterie-Symbol auf dem Display erscheint.

6. inbetriebnahme

Stecken Sie keine Gegenstände in die Öffnungen des Sensorkopfs, da ansonsten der Sensor beschädigt werden könnte.

1. Drücken Sie die Taste Ein/Aus, um das Gerät einzuschalten.

2. Auf dem Display wird oben in großen Ziffern die relative Luftfeuchtigkeit in % (RH = Relative Humidity) dargestellt. Am unteren Rand des Displays wird in kleinen Ziffern die Temperatur in ºC (Celsius) dargestellt.

3. Um die Anzeigeeinheit der Temperatur in ºF (Fahrenheit) zu ändern, schieben Sie den Schiebeschalter innerhalb des Batteriefachs auf die Position F.

4. Drücken Sie während der Messung die Taste MAX/MIN, um nur den höchsten Wert des aktuellen Messvorgangs auf dem Display anzuzeigen. Oben auf dem Display erscheint der Maximalwert-Indikator MAX.

5. Drücken Sie erneut die Taste MAX/MIN, um nur den niedrigsten Wert des aktuellen Messvorgangs auf dem Display anzuzeigen. Oben auf dem Display erscheint der Minimalwert-Indikator MIN.

6. Halten Sie die Taste MAX/MIN für ca. zwei Sekunden gedrückt, um wieder zur Echtzeit-Anzeige zurückzukehren.

Der Maximalwert und der Minimalwert werden vom Speicher gelöscht. Falls Sie die MAX/MINFunktion erneut aktivieren, werden die MAX/MIN-Werte ab dem Zeitpunkt des erneuten Aufrufs der Funktion auf dem Display angezeigt.

7. Drücken Sie die Taste Ein/Aus, um das Gerät auszuschalten. Ansonsten schaltet sich das Gerät nach ca. 30 Minuten automatisch ab.

8. Gehen Sie wie folgt vor, um die automatische Abschaltfunktion zu deaktivieren:

-- Wenn das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist, halten Sie die Taste MAX/MIN gedrückt und drücken Sie die Taste Ein/Aus.

-- Sobald das Display eingeschaltet ist, lassen Sie beide Tasten los.

-- Das Uhrensymbol (Indikator der automatischen Abschaltfunktion) unten links auf dem Display erlischt. -- Gehen Sie auf die gleiche Weise vor, um die automatische Abschaltfunktion zu aktivieren.

Um das Gerät auf einem optional erhältlichen Stativ zu befestigen, befindet sich auf der Rückseite oberhalb des Batteriefachdeckels ein Schraubgewinde.

Die Hintergrundbeleuchtung des Displays wird bei zu geringer Umgebungshelligkeit automatisch aktiviert.

7. ENTSORGUNG

Produkt

Elektronische Geräte sind Wertstoffe und gehören nicht in den Hausmüll.

Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden gesetzlichen

Bestimmungen.

Entnehmen Sie evtl. eingelegte Batterien/Akkus und entsorgen Sie diese getrennt vom Produkt.

Batterien / Akkus

Sie als Endverbraucher sind gesetzlich (Batterieverordnung) zur Rückgabe aller gebrauchten Batterien/Akkus verpflichtet; eine Entsorgung über den Hausmüll ist untersagt.

Schadstoffhaltige Batterien/Akkus sind mit dem nebenstehenden Symbol gekennzeichnet,

das auf das Verbot der Entsorgung über den Hausmüll hinweist. Die Bezeichnungen für das

ausschlaggebende Schwermetall sind: Cd=Cadmium, Hg=Quecksilber, Pb=Blei (die Bezeichnung steht auf den Batterien/Akkus z.B. unter dem links abgebildeten Mülltonnen-Symbol).

1. INTENDED USE

The product is designed for measuring ambient air temperature (in ºC or ºF) and ambient air humidity. The minimum and maximum readings taken during the measurement process can also be displayed. Power is supplied by a 9V battery.

Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the device are inadmissible because of safety and approval reasons (CE). Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product and lead to associated risks such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. Please read the operating instructions thoroughly and keep them for further reference.

3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

We do not assume liability for resulting damages to property or personal injury if the product has been abused in any way or damaged by improper use or failure to observe these operating instructions. The warranty/ guarantee will then expire!

•The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children!

•The product must not be subjected to heavy mechanical stress.

•The product must not be exposed it to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, intense vibration, or dampness.

•Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.

Batteries

•Batteries should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long period of time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries might cause acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves to handle corrupted batteries.

•Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave the battery lying around, as there is risk, that children or pets swallow it.

•Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!

6. OPeration

Do not insert any objects into the openings on the sensor head, as doing so may damage the sensor.

1. Press the on/off button to switch the device on.

2. At the top of the display, relative humidity will be shown in % in large digits. At the bottom of the display, temperature will be shown in ºC (Celsius) in small digits.

3. To switch the displayed temperature unit to ºF (Fahrenheit), move the sliding switch within the battery compartment to position F.

4. During the measurement process press the MAX/MIN button to only display the highest value measured in the course of the current measurement. The maximum value indicator MAX will be displayed at the top of the display.

5. Press the MAX/MIN button again to only display the lowest value of the current measurement process. The minimal value indicator MIN will be displayed at the top of the display.

6. Press and hold the MAX/MIN button for approx. two seconds to return to the real-time display.

The maximum and minimum value will not be stored. If you activate the MAX/MIN function again, the MAX/MIN readings starting from the moment you call up the function again will be shown on the display.

7. Press the on/off button to switch the device off. Otherwise, the device will automatically turn itself off after approx. 30 minutes.

8. Proceed as follows to deactivate the auto-off function:

-- While the device is turned off, press and hold the MAX/MIN button and press the on/off button. -- Release both buttons once the display is turned on.

-- The clock icon (indicating the auto-off function) on the display (bottom left) will go off. -- Proceed in the same way to activate the auto-off function.

To mount the device on a stand (optionally available), there is a screw thread on the back, above the battery compartment cover.

The display backlight will be automatically activated when ambient brightness becomes too low.

7. DISPOSAL

Product

Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.

At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations. Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.

(Rechargeable) batteries

You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.

Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that disposal in the

domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium,

Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left). Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.

You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

5. INSERTING / REPLACING BATTERIES

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device. 2. Insert a suitable 9V battery.

3. Close the battery compartment.

Replace the battery when the battery icon appears on the display.
