These precautions should be followed at all times. Failure to follow these precautions could result in injury to yourself and others or damage the equipment.
To reduce risk of injury or damage to the unit:
Use only a Vollrath control thermostat designed specically for use with
this model. Equipment should only be used in a at, level position. Do not store or place any materials below the unit or near the heating
source. Always turn off and unplug electric chafer heaters when not in use. Allow equipment to cool before moving or cleaning. Do not operate unattended. Do not operate without water in the water pan.

This equipment is intended and designed to keep food at proper serving temperatures. This equipment is not intended or designed to cook raw food or to reheat prepared food. This equipment is not intended or designed to chill beverages or food. Food and beverages must be prepared and placed into the chafers, urns or dispensers at proper serving temperatures.

Carefully remove crating or packaging materials from the unit. When no longer needed, dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner. Follow any special instructions for specic models.
oPeration, tabletoP hot food and beverage
This equipment is designed to heat with an electric chafer heater. If using an electric chafer heater, we recommend that a Vollrath Universal
Chafer Heater is used.
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard.
Do not over ll wells, pans or trays. Liquid could contact the electrical components and cause a short circuit or an electrical shock. Do not spray water or cleaning products. Do not use a power cord that has been modied or damaged..

COVER HANDLE. Used to open and close the cover.

COVER. Covers the food/beverage product.

CHAFER HANDLES. Used to lift the chafer.

FOOD PAN. Holds the food product.

WATER PAN. Holds the water.

THERMOSTAT CONTROL. Used to connect power to the
heater.

THERMOSTAT CONTROL KNOB. Used to set/adjust the
temperature on the thermostat.

ELECTRICAL PLUG. Grounded electrical plug connects to the
grounded power source.

HEATER. Heats the unit.

CHAFER FUEL HOLDER. Strictly decorative with this electric
model.
1. Place the chafer unit on a at surface.
2. Remove the thermostat control (F) from the heater (I). See Figure 1.
3. Remove the cover (B) and remove the food pan (D).
4. Pour about 2-1/2 quarts (2.4 L) of clean fresh water into the water pan (E).
NOTE: Do not operate without water in the pan. Do not overll water pan.
5. Put the cover (B) on the chafer.
6. Slide the thermostat control (E) into the heater (G).
7. Connect the electrical plug (H) into a grounded outlet matching the nameplate rated voltage.
8. Preheat the water by using a universal electric chafer heater on “HI” or by using chafer fuel for 30 minutes.
9. Open the cover (B).
WARNING
Burn Hazard.
Do not touch heating surfaces, liquid, or while unit is heating or operating.
