Quick Installation Guide

INTRODUCTION

The AW-FED-0500 is a 10/100BaseT unmanaged PoE switch capable of feeding 15.4/30W (0500-065) or 52W (0500-

120) power to Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices. The switch is capable of a total 61.6 (0500-065)/115 (0500-120) Watts
power budget.

PACKAGE CONTENTS

* 1x PoE switch * 1x Quick Installation Guide
* 1x AC-to-DC power adaptor [100 ~240VAC, 50~60Hz; DC56V/1.16A (0500-065); DC52V/2.3A (0500-120)]
* 4x rubber feet * 4x mounting screws * 1x wall mount bracket kit

IMPORTANT:

1. Connect the DC plug to the switch before you connect the AC plug to the power mains.

2. Due to its high power output, make sure you turn off its PoE function using the DIP switch before you connect a LAN
port to a non-PoE device.

3. Install the PoE switch in a ventilated and dry place, that is free electromagnetic source, vibration, moisture, and dust.

4. Make sure the ventilation openings on the switch are not blocked.

5. Use CAT5 or 6 UTP/STP cables.

LED DEFINITIONS

UPLINK Green ON Ethernet uplink port connected.

Fast Flashing Ethernet uplik port data activities at 100M.
Slow Flashing Ethernet uplik port data activities at 10M.

POWER Green ON Power is on and normal.
LAN Green ON each Ethernet LAN port is connected.

Fast Flashing each Ethernet LAN data activities at 100M.
Slow Flashing each Ethernet LAN data activities at 10M.

PoE Green ON Power over Ethernet is enabled.

OFF PoE is disabled, became a regular LAN port.
