Use only the specified ba

eries.
Avoid extremely cold environments as low temperatures can shorten the battery life and reduce camera pe
rf
ormance. This low temperature will also influence
Alkaline battery pe
rf
ormance, therefore Ni-MH rechargeable ba
tt
eries are highly
recommended.
When you are using new rechargeable ba
tt
eries or rechargeable batteries that have not been used for an extended period of time (batteries that have passed the expiration date are exceptions) it can affect the number of images that can be
captured. To maximize their performance and lifetime, we recommend an initial
full charge and discharge cycle. This will allow the full capacity to be used.
The batteries may feel warm after a long period of continuous use of ViviCam 7330 or the flash. This is normal and not a malfunction.
The camera may feel warm after a long period of continuous use. This is normal and not a malfunction.
If the ba
tt
eries are not to be used for a long period of time, remove it from the
camera to prevent leakage or corrosion.
If the ba
tt
eries are not to be used for a long period of time, store it after no battery
power is left. If the ba
tt
eries are stored for a long time in a fully charged state, its
performance may be impaired.
Always keep the ba
tt
eries terminals clean.
There is a risk of explosion if the ba
tteri
es are replaced by an incorrect type.
Dispose of used batte
ri
es according to the recycle instructions.
Never use ba
tt
eries of different types (together) or mix old and new ba
tt
eries.
Never use manganese batteries.

PREPARING YOUR VMCAM 7330
Preparation

Attach the camera strap.
2.
Open the battery/SD memory card cover.
3.
Inse

the batteries with correct orientation
as shown.
4.
Insert an SD memory card (Optional).
ViviCam 7330 has 22MB internal memory for image storage but you can load an SD memory card to expand the camera's memory capacity.
Be sure to format the memory card with
this camera before its initial usage.
5. Close the battery/SD memory card cover and make sure it is locked securely.
Be careful not to drop the batteries when opening or closing the battery cover.
Due to the characteristics of alkaline ba
tteri
es, camera performance may be less than expected. AA alkaline batteries are recommended only in case of emergency and for checking the camera's functions. Ni-MH rechargeable ba
tt
eries are a superior choice for performance
and economy.
To prevent valuable data from being accidentally erased from an SD card, you can slide the write protect tab (on the side of the SD memory card) to "LOCK".
To save, edit, or erase data on an SD memory card, you must unlock the card.

Using the AC Adapter (Optional Accessory)
Using an AC adapter is recommended if you intend to use the LCD monitor for a long ti

1.
Make sure your camera is off.
2.
Connect one end of the AC adapter to the camera DC input terminal labeled "*.+
3.3V".
3.
Connect the other end to a power outlet.
Make sure to use only the AC adapter specified for the camera. Damage caused by the use of an incorrect adapter is not covered under the warranty.
To prevent unexpected auto power off resulting from no battery power left during the process of transferring your images to the computer, use the AC adapter as a power supply.
The AC adapter can only be used to power the camera. Ba
tteri
es cannot be charged inside the
camera.

Setting Image Resolution and Quality
As you get to know ViviCam 7330, you can set the image resolution (number of ve
rt
ical and horizontal pixels) and image quality (compression ratio) based on the types of images you want to shoot. These settings affect the number of images that can be stored in the internal memory, or on an SD memory card. Higher resolution and higher quality images provide finer detail but cause the images'
file size to be larger.
To change image resolution or image quality, perform these steps below:
1.
Rotate the mode dial to A , P ,
L, r,
or *) and turn ViviCam 7330 on by
pressing the power switch.
