1-1. From the top control panel, press the

Press “OK” to confirm selection.

Message of “1 photo copied” will be displayed when the process is completed.
The screen will return to Thumbnail Menu.

2. Copy, All Files
2-1 Repeat steps 1-1 to 1-4.
Use the and ↓ on the top control panel to select “Copy all to” mode. Press “OK” to confirm selection.
Use the and ↓ on the top control panel to select destination target (Internal Memory,

CF Card, SD/MMC Card, Memory Stick or xD Card.).
Press “OK” to confirm selection.
Message of “Are you sure to copy all photos to {Destination Device}?” will pop up. Use and to select between “Yes” or “No”. Select “Yes” to proceed the copying. Press “OK” to confirm selection.
Message of “All photos copying” with progress bar will pop up.
Message of “All photos copied” will pop up when the process is completed.
The screen will return to Thumbnail Menu.

3. Delete, Single File
3-1 Repeat steps 1-1 to 1-4.
Use the and ↓ on the top control panel to select “Delete” mode. Press “OK” to confirm selection.
Message of “Are you sure to delete?” will pop up.

4. Delete, All Files
4-1 Repeat steps 1-1 to 1-4.
Use and to select between “Yes” or “No”. Select “Yes” to proceed the deleting. Press “OK” to confirm selection.
Message of “1 photo deleted” will be displayed when the process is completed.
The screen will return to Thumbnail Menu.
Use the and ↓ on the top control panel to select “Delete all” mode. Press “OK” to confirm selection.
Message of “Are you sure to delete all photos?” will pop up.

Use and to select between “Yes” or “No”. Select “Yes” to proceed the deleting. Press “OK” to confirm selection.
Message of “All photos deleting” with progress bar will pop up.
Message of “All photos deleted” will pop up when the process is completed.
The screen will return to Home Menu.
5. USB, Connected to PC Installation
When mini-USB connector is connected to a PC, the PC will serve as a host device and DP701WF will serve as an external storage device to the PC (like a card reader).
From DP701WF’s Side

From PC’s Side The PC setup is same as a standard USB storage device. Windows XP should be able to automatically recognize DP701W4 as a “USB Mass Storage Device” without performing any manual installation. However, in case of driver is not automatically installed, the following process will take place:

prompt to connect to Windows update.
If Windows fails to locate the proper driver in the installation. Select “Yes, this time only”. This operation requires an internet connection.
Click “Next >” to continue.

5-3 Select “Install the software automatically (Recommended)”.
Click “Next >” to continue.

5-5 Click “Continue Anyway” when
hardware installation warning screen pops up.
Note: There is no risk to you selecting the CONTINUE ANYWAY button illustrated in Figure 5-5 as our products are thoroughly tested prior to sale. ViewSonic’s Digital Photo Frame product will not damage your computer . Should you not select CONTINUE ANYWAY, and select STOP INSTALLATION, you will not be able to proceed with the use of this product. Figures 5-6 and 5-7 illustrate the completed loading sequence.

6. USB, Connected to PC Operation
Once DP701W4 is recognized by PC, it is treated as a card reader . All of memory devices attached to DP701W4 will be viewed as a removal drive to PC. The drive assignment will vary depending on number of existing drive in user’s PC. File management operation will follow standard Windows process.
Example of viewing DP701W4’s internal memory from a PC:
6-1 Select “Open folder to view files” to access DP701W4’s internal memory.
Click “Ok” to continue.
Note: For this example, DP701W4’s internal memory has been assigned as “Drive (E)”.

6-2 Files stored in DP701W4’s internal memory can be accessed in the “PHOTO” folder.

Other storage devices (Such as CF card, SD/MMC card, memory card and xD card.) can be viewed in PC same manner as the internal memory. Windows will assign drive number to each storage device connected to DP701W4.

7. USB, Connected to OTG (On The Go) Device
When DP701W4 is connected to another OTG compatible device (Such as a Sony Cyber-shot digital camera.), it acts like a USB host device. The external OTG device will be viewed an USB storage device.
If the external USB device is OTG compatible, DP701W4 will automatically detect it. No driver installation is required. The usage operation is identical to other storage media (Internal memory, CF Card, SD/MMC Card, Memory Stick or xD Card).
