2.2 Area of application
Contaminated extinguishing water, chemicals, oil and dirty water must be quickly collected and temporarily stored in cases of re, oods, storms, pipe bursts and accidents.
To do this, the Vetter Pneumatic Hazmat Container is now available.
2.3 Safety instructions
All relevant national regulations regarding work safety and accident prevention are to be just as equally observed as those regulations generally recognized in the engineering eld. Work protection clothing is to be worn during operational conditions.

2.4 Correct handling and usage
The Pneumatic Hazmat Container PAB is only allowed to be used with compressed air. Only original Vetter ination ttings are to be used in order to avoid over-ination of the Hazmat Container.
3. Preparing the product for use
3.1 Preparations for operation
Only perfectly working Hazmat Containers are to be used having original Vetter ination ttings. Before being used, the chemical resistance of the PVC foldable container is to be tested against the liquid or substance to be collected.

ner at the required location. The ground area must be free of any sharp-edged or pointed objects!
4.1 Operation with compressed air

Connect the pressure regulator with the knurled wheel on the compressed air bottle. Close the hand wheel (3) of the pressure regulator. Open the valve on the bottle (5). The manometer (1) indicates the pressure in the bottle. Adjust the back-pressure to approximately 10 bar/145 psi using the adjustment wheel (4). The set pressure can be checked on the back-pressure manometer (2). Connect the air hose of the pressure regulator (6) with the brass coupling (7) of the ination connection. Open the pressure regulator and start ination. Observe the Pneumatic Hazmat Container during the ination process. Close the hand valve when the operating pressure of 0.5 bar/7.25 psi is reached.
The Vetter Pneumatic Hazmat Container is now operati-
onal.
Do not inate outer frame! The valve is only for air compensation when the container is upright or folded.

4.2 Pumping o the collected uid
To pump o the collected uid, use a commercially available immersion pump (comply with the resistance), e.g. item no.: 1520041600 dewatering pump. For complete vacuum withdrawal, if necessary the suction nozzle (Item no.: 1700014701) can be used in combination with a Vetter aspirator.

4.3 Deation
The deation of the Pneumatic Hazmat Container happens over the ination connection. To deate the Pneumatic Hazmat Container, close the compressed air cylinder and disconnect the pressure reducer. Screw the cap o of the lling connection in the counterclockwise direction. The deation valve is opened by pressing-in and turning the pin (1) counter clockwise.

Fold the Pneumatic Hazmat Container s in the way, that the air can escape (Folding to the direction of the ination connection). Any remaining air can be removed with a vacuum adaptor (Item No.:
1700018300) in combination with an construction-site compressor adaptor (Item No.: 1600012000).
1
Connect the construction-site compressor adaptor (1) to the coupling of the vacuum adaptor (2) and turn it interlocking. Then tighten the screwable part of t the vacuum adaptor. Now connect the constructionsite compressor adaptor to the pneumatic stiening frame. Attach the quick-action coupling (3) to the connection hose of the pressure regulator (pressure approx. 6 bar/87 psi) and open the hand valve of the pressure regulator slowly. Using the vacuum adapter the air is sucked out of the Hazmat container which can then be quickly packed without diculty.

3
After deation and before packing, the valve must be unlocked again in order to guarantee perfect ination when it is next used!
4.4 Care and Maintenance
The Hazmat Container and its ttings are to be cleaned after use. Cleaning of the Hazmat Container is normally made using warm water together with a soap solution and dried at room temperature. DIN 7716 is to be observed when storing for long periods of time.

5. Inspection
The ination ttings and the Hazmat Container are to be checked for a perfect and orderly condition each time before and after use:
9 The stiening frame is free of damage, e.g. tears, cuts, pier-
cings, splits, hard or soft areas caused by chemical or thermal eects.
9 The PVC foldable container is free of damage, e.g. tears, cuts,
piercings, splits, hard or soft areas caused by chemical or thermal eects.
9 Visual and operational check of the pressure regulator
6. Taking the product out of operation
In case the Pneumatic Hazmat Containers are taken out of operation then this must be disposed of as special waste. If required, the manufacturer can supply you with more detailed information regarding this.
