Knurled anti-slip surface
Only knowledge and exact adherence to this operation manual guarantees correct operation, produces the best possible use and ensures any claims made within the scope of the Vetter Guarantee.
The Airshore ART Attack must only be used by reliable and instructed sta. Each application of the Airshore ART Attack is to be made under the condition that exact knowledge has been obtained and the operating manual is observed.
The operating instructions given here are to be regarded as part of the product and are to be kept for the complete life duration of the product. In case the product should be passed on to a successive user then the operating instructions must also be included.
Description of the product2.
Correct handling and usage2.1
The ART Attack oers various possibilities to open doors, overcome obstacles and for technical assistance.
The ART Attack consists of two dierent head pieces made of high-alloyed and tempered steel. The grip rod is made of corrosion resistive chrome and has a knurled anti-slip surface.
As a standard tting the tool has two holders for a belt. The tool can be attached to the belt thus leaving both hands free for work.
Safety instructions2.2
When working with the ART Attack, all pertinent regulations regarding work protection and safety are to be observed as well as accident regulations in addition to the generally regulations valid within the the eld of technology.
During operation, necessary personal protective items such as protection clothing, gloves, helmet, eye and/or face protectors must be worn.
It must be ensured that no persons are to be in the working area who do not have the necessary protection equipment. People being freed or rescued must also be protected.

When the ART Attack is put away, it must be ensured that the tips of the tool point downwards. During breakage levering be careful of parts which may catapult or y out, such as locks, hinges etc.
Do not touch any electrically conductive parts and wiring because the tool itself is electrically conductive!
The ART Attack must not be used in any explosion endangered areas and atmospheres!
Important! When opening a re room, darting ames can occur with and without pressure eect. Only work from a protected position and have other measures readily available corresponding to requirements.
The head pieces and the grip bar transfer heat to your protective gloves.
Brace wedge

Operating Instructions3.
Breakage levering applications 3.1
The brace wedge can be used for breaking in and the at wedge for doors which are dicult to open.
The standard method for breakage levering is to apply the brace wedge into the door gap at the height of the door mounting. The arch of the brace wedge is placed on the door mounting. The grip rod is pushed towards the leaf of the door until this springs out.
When positioning yourself, make sure that the at wedge is not placed directly in front of you stomach area. Danger of injury !
Weaken solid looking doors by applying initial tension. The at wedge is either placed at the top or the bottom in the door gap and turned towards the leaf of the door. In doing this an air gap is created between the door frame and the leaf of the door which is then held open by using a wooden wedge. The brace wedge of the ART Attack is then used in this gap and the door can be opened as already described.
Levering up loads 3.2
The ground must be suciently solid enough when levering up small loads, e.g. asphalt or concrete. If elevation work is carried out on soft ground such as sand, pebble stones or grass then a wooden board, or something similar, must be positioned in front of the load.
The brace wedge is then pushed under the load, the arch of the brace wedge is on the ground, or on the wooden board. The load can now be slowly lifted by applying weight onto the grip rod, e.g.

by foot or body weight of the user. Possible lifting power and lift height depends on the length of the levering arm. The load must be immediately propped in order to avoid sinking.
Opening and breaking up materials3.3
The spike, hammer and at wedge can be used as striking tools.
Thin plates
An opening in a plate is created by striking with the spike. If larger openings are required then a number of holes can be made in a row. An axe or split hammer is then used to join the holes made by the spike.
Chip boards
Chip boards can also be opened with a row of holes which are then joined by cutting.
Sandwich plaster boards
Produce a row of holes with the spike and hit out large pieces with the hammer area. Note : Plaster board can contain electrical wiring!
Single glass, at glass
Spike
Hammer area
Flat wedge
Break the glass sheets going from the top to the bottom using the hammer area. Doing this , stand to one side of the window being broken.
Single sheet safety glass, automotive windscreens
Using the spike, the sheet is broken around the edge area, the glass then breaks into pieces.
Wire reinforced glass, compound glass
An opening rstly made with the spike, after doing this the at wedge can be used hitting from a side position or knocking in the cut line from the front with the brace wedge.
Single row walls made of hollow blocks, bricks, glass bricks or aerated concrete blocks can also be broken up. The rst block should be removed using the spike like a pickle. The other blocks can then be broken up with the brace wedge or knocked out with the hammer.
Openings made in brick walls must always have the shape of a square standing on the tip so the remaining bricks can support each other.

Producing an opening for extinguishing work
The spike is struck into the material to be opened (usually thin plating). The opening can be expanded by turning the spike. This enables extinguishing work to be carried out through the opening.
This operating manual was carefully made according to the best of our knowledge.
However it must be pointed out that all dangers resulting from the application of the tool cannot be foreseen. Therefore the user is obliged to use the tool in a responsible manner.
Application of the metal cutting claw3.4
The ART Attack, with its metal cutting claw, is the ideal tool for breaking-through and cutting thin plate (e.g. car roofs and bonnets, aircraft and thin-walled structures).
Maintenance and care3.5
After use, the tool must be cleaned with water, a neutral cleaning agent and a scrubbing brush. Drying can be made with a cloth.
