might damage the product.
Failure to read and understand the entire manual before assembling, installing, using or servicing the product is a misuseof the product. If this product is used improperly or carelessly, the operator
and/or bystanders might sustain serious personal injuries. To reduce the likelihood of injury:
Periodically read the manual to refresh your understanding of proper use and maintenance procedures.
DO NOT modify the product in any way UNLESS you first obtain written approval from Vestil. Unauthorized
modifications automatically void the Limited Warranty and might make the product unsafe to use.
DO NOT exceed the maximum rated load (see “Label 287” in diagram on p. 5).
DO NOT attempt to resolve any problem(s) with the dolly unless you are both authorized to do so and certain
that it will be safe to use afterwards. Inspect the product before each use according to the recommendations
described on p. 4.
A. DO NOT use this product if the inspection reveals structural damage. Examples of structural damage include,
but are not limited to, the following: 1) Cracked, broken or significantly deformed frame pieces, pins, or loadbearing members; 2) cracked welds; 3) corrosion, severe wear, or other condition that affects the ability of the
product to support weight. DO NOT use the product until it is fully restored to normal condition.
B. DO NOT continue to use the product if any unusual noise or movement is observed during use. If a
malfunction occurs, remove the unit from service and notify your supervisor & maintenance personnel about
the issue.
DO NOT use this device UNLESS all product labels (see “Label Placement Diagram”, p. 5) are readable and
undamaged.
DO NOT sit on or apply any weight/pressure to the dolly or to a pail supported by the dolly.
DO NOT attempt to lift material that exceeds the load rating. ALWAYS make sure that the material weighs no
more than the rated load of the pipe grab.
Always orient yourself so that the load is visible to you. You are less likely to be injured by the load if it remains
within sight at all times. Standing to one side of the load next to the pipe grab will allow you to stabilize the load as
you move it to the desired location.
DO NOT leave a suspended load unattended. An unattended, suspended load creates a risk of injury to yourself
and others. Always move a load to its desired location, set the material down and properly immobilize it, and then
disengage the grab from the load. Disconnect the grab from the hoist BEFORE you leave the work area.
Proper use, maintenance, and storage are essential for this product to function properly.
o Always use this product in accordance with the instructions in this manual.

Keep the product clean & dry.
Inspect the dolly before using it for the first time and occasionally thereafter as described below.
Inspections:
DO NOT use the dolly if it is structurally unsound. If an inspection reveals problems,
restore the dolly to normal condition BEFORE using it again.
A. Inspections Before EACH use - visually examine:
1. Surface of the dolly: remove dirt from the load surfaces; AND
2. Casters: evaluate the condition and operation of the casters.
B. Frequent Inspections: [The specific meaning of “frequent” varies from weekly to monthly depending
on the service classification (light, normal, or heavy) of the dolly.] Visually inspect:
1. Frame pieces (1 & 2 on p. 3): Deformation, cracking, or excessive wear.
2. Pins and casters: examine the pins and the casters for looseness. Tighten the casters to correct
wobbliness.
3. Casters: check each caster wheel for significant wear. Also verify that each caster is solidly
connected to the frame. Retighten all loose casters.
