2. Select a location for the sensor in a secure area where it will be accessible only to qualied service personnel. The GMxA Series monitoring station should be installed centrally in the parking structure, near the main trac paths, but away from outside air vents and excessive drafts. Mount the unit securely to a wall or column at a height of about 5 ft. (1.52 m) from the oor.
3. Connect only Veris Industries, G Series carbon monoxide sensors to the GMxA monitoring station.
4. Connect only 24VAC/24VDC power to the two-position terminal block as shown in the wiring diagram. Connect a ground wire to the metal case at a mountinig screw or metal conduit tting.
5. Apply power to the unit. A green LED on the circuit board indicates power is applied.
Note: Coverage is NOT dependant on the sensor. Coverage is a function of the buildi ng structure and air ow pat terns. A minimum of on e sensor for 5000 sq. f t. is recommended. Wide open a reas where the air is well mixed may requi re a few sensors.
OPERATION
The GMxA Series monitoring station accepts digital inputs from up to four G Series carbon monoxide sensors. It provides alarm status indication for each input and a normally open Form C (SPDT) fan actuation relay controlling a normally closed fan contactor. If any of the four sensors detect CO levels above 25 ppm, or if a fault is detected, the corresponding alarm status indicator light turns on and the fan relay will activate the fan.
