OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

TO PLAY MP3 (for remote only)
This set can read MP3.
1. Press the FUNCTION button to CD.
total albums and the total tracks appear on the display.
3. Press the PLAY/PAUSE
button to start play.
4. Press the STOP button to stop playback.
5. In stop mode, press PLAY/PAUSE
button to start playback.
TO SEARCH AN ALBUM
Basically this system supports the album search mode to search an album at high­speed.
1. Press the PRESET + / ALBUM + or PRESET – / ALBUM – button to search a desired album in play /stop mode.
2. After selected a desired album, the first track of this album will be shown on the display within two seconds.
3. Press the SKIP/SEARCH / button to search a desired track and then press the PLAY/PAUSE
button to play the track.
4. During searching the album, the album number is shown on the display.
USING THE REMOTE CONTROL CORRECTLY
• Point the Remote Control at the REMOTE SENSOR located on the unit.
• When there is a strong ambient light source, the performance of the infrared REMOTE SENSOR may be degraded, causing unreliable operation.
• The recommended effective distance for remote operation is about 6 meters (19 feet).
SEARCH A FILE (SONGS) BY FILE NAME
1. Press the MP3 MODE button once the " " will blink, the file name and the
number's tracks appear on the display.
2. Press the SKIP/SEARCH / buttons one by one to find the file name, the
file name will display sequence as "A,B ........... Z, 0 .......... 9".
3. Press the SKIP/SEARCH / buttons about 2 seconds, the capital letters or the figure will blinks. If the first letter of the file name in this disc haven't the capital letters or the figure, it will not blink.
4. Press the SKIP/SEARCH / buttons one by one to search file.
5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE
button to play select file.
SEARCH A FILE (SONGS) BY ALBUM
1. Press the MP3 MODE button twice times, the " " will light and ALBUM appear
on the display.
2. Press the SKIP/SEARCH / buttons one by one, to select album.
3. Press the SKIP/SEARCH / buttons about 2 seconds until "ALBUM" disappear.
4. Press the SKIP/SEARCH
/ buttons one by one to search file.
5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE
button to play select file.

TO REPEAT THE WHOLE DISC
Press the REPEAT button a second time to repeat all tracks, the repeat all indicator will light.
REPEAT PLAY (for remote only)
This function will allow a single tracks or all the tracks on the disc to be played repeatedly.
TO REPEAT THE SAME TRACK
Press the REPEAT button once during playback, the repeat one indicator will light.
TO CANCEL REPEAT PLAY
Press the REPEAT button until "REPEAT" indicator is switched off.
RANDOM PLAY (for remote only)
All the tracks on the disc can be played in random order.
Press the RANDOM button.
RANDOM appears in the display and the disc will play automatically.
TO CANCEL RANDOM PLAY Press the STOP
or RANDOM button so that "RANDOM" in the display goes
out.
TO REPEAT PLAY THE ALBUM (in MP3 Mode) (for remote only)
Press the REPEAT button three times to repeat the album, the repeat album indicator will light.
TO CANCEL REPEAT PLAY Press the REPEAT button until "REPEAT & ALBUM" indicator is switched off.

ON PLACEMENT

ON SAFETY

ON CONDENSATION

• Make sure AC power plug is secure in the outlet, and outlet has power.
• Make sure FUNCTION switch is set to CD.
• Make sure disc label is facing up.
• Make sure disc is clean.
• Pause mode is activated.
• Disc may be damaged or dirty; check disc.
• Make sure the unit is on a secure spot. Vibration or jarring can cause the disc to skip.
Poor FM reception
Poor MW reception
• Make sure FM antenna wire is unwound.
• Electrical interference in your home can cause poor reception. Move the unit away from sources of interference (especially those with motors and transformers).
• Set the AM/MW loop antenna to a direction for the better reception.

TO CHANGE REMOTE BATTERY
1. Open the battery
door.
2. Insert one CR2025 (3V) size battery.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When battery become weak, the operating distance of the Remote Control is greatly reduced and you will need to replace the battery.
NOTE:
If the Remote Control is not to be used for a long time, remove the battery to avoid damage caused by battery leakage corrosion.
WARNING:
Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may explode or leak.
ATTENTION
Take out the PVC sheet before operating the Remote Control.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
CLEANING CD
If the CD skips or will not play, the disc may need cleaning. Before playing, wipe the disc from the centre out with a cleaning cloth. After playing, store the disc in its case.
CLEANING THE UNIT
Do not use volatile chemicals on this unit. Clean by lightly wiping with a soft cloth.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
• Should the CD door be opened before the reading of the CD is completed, a jamming noise may occur. This can be resolved by closing the CD door and then setting the FUNCTION switch temporarily to AUX.
• If an abnormal display indication or an operating problem occurs, disconnect the AC power cord. Wait at least 5 seconds, then reconnect the AC power cord.
• Before transporting the unit, remove the disc from the CD tray.
PROGRAMMING TRACKS - in the MP3 stop mode (Up to a maximum of 64 tracks)
1. Press the MEM button, the ALBUM blinks on the display.
2. Press the SKIP/SEARCH / buttons to select the desired albums.
3. Press the MEM
button, the FILE (SONGS) blinks on the display.
4. Press the SKIP/SEARCH / buttons to select the desired files (songs).
5. Press the MEM
button again.
6. Repeat alone step 2 and 5 procedure to program additional tracks. Press PLAY/ PAUSE
button to start playback of the programmed tracks and memory
indicator will appear on display.
To check the program
While in the stop mode, press the MEM
button. The album , file (songs) and program numbers will appear on the display. Press the MEM button again to view the other programmed selections. These displays do not appear during programmed play.
To play the programmed tracks
Press the PLAY/PAUSE
button.
To stop programmed play
Press the STOP button, if you want to recover programmed play. You can first press MEM button and then press PLAY button again.
To clear the memory content
Press the STOP
button and then open the CD door or press MEM button and
then press the STOP button in stop mode.
AM/MW
Connect the loop aerial (provided) to the "AM (MW) ANT." snap terminal. Set the MW/AM loop antenna to a direction for the better reception.
TO SEARCH FOR A STATION AUTOMATICALLY
Press the TUNING / SKIP / button for 1 to 2 seconds, and a station is searched for automatically. After tuning in a station, the search stops. The search may not stop at a station with a very weak signal.

TO RECEIVE THE FM BROADCAST IN STEREO
When receiving FM broadcasts in stereo, The word " (
(
STEREO)) " illuminate.

PRESETTING STATION (for remote only)
Your favourite Radio Stations can be tuned in to by selecting their preset numbers. It is possible to store up to 10 preset stations for FM band and 10 preset stations for AM/MW band in the order of your choice.
TUNING INTO A PRESET STATION
Manual memory presetting
This feature allows you to manually preset stations to any desired channel.
2.Press the MEM button until the MEMORY indicator is shown and " 01 " will blink on the display.
3.Press the PRESET+/ALBUM+ button to select a channel number for the preset station on the remote control.
4.Press the MEM
button to memorize
the station.
5.Repeat steps 1 to 4 for the next preset.
Press the PRESET+/ALBUM+ or PRESET–/ALBUM– button to select a preset number.
NOTE:
If a button is not pressed within 10 seconds the preset mode will be cancelled automatically.

Note : 16 to 21 are under the

Fully unwind the wire antenna. Then extend the wire antenna and place it in the position that sounds best.
NOTE:DO NOT CONNECT TO AN
OUTSIDE ANTENNA.
CONNECTIONS
1. SPEAKER CONNECTION
Remove the rear cover and connect the right speaker to the R terminals, and the left speaker to the L terminals. Connect the wires with the red lines (or printed white lines) to the red (+) terminals and the plain-black wires to the black (–) terminals.
NOTE : Connecting speakers other than the speakers supplied with the unit may damage the unit.
2. SUBWOOFER CONNECTION
Remove the rear cover and connect speaker wires from the Subwoofer to the output of subwoofer. NOTE : Ensure in each case that the red wire (or printed white lines) is connected to red (+) terminal of the speaker output and the black wire is connected to the black (–) terminal of the speaker output. Also ensure that the connect orientation for left and right main speaker is observed.
3. CONNECTION WITH OTHER OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT
To listen to or record audio signals from external units through this unit. Connect the signal cord between the unit's AUX jack and the output jack of the external equipment.
LISTENING TO THE CONNECTED EQUIPMENT
• Press the FUNCTION button to AUX. • Play the external source.
4. MW/AM LOOP ANTENNA CONNECTION
Do not connect to an outside antenna. Connect the supplied MW/AM loop antenna to receive better MW/AM broadcast signal.
5. FM ANTENNA WIRE
Do not connect to an outside antenna.
6. POWER CORD CONNECTION
Before use, check that the rated voltage of your unit matches your local voltage. Make sure speakers are connected correctly before plugging the AC power cord into an AC outlet. Caution: • Be sure the AC power cord is disconnected and all functions are
off before making connections.
• To prevent electrical shock, match wide blade of plug to wide slot, fully insert. (For N. America)
PROGRAMMING TRACKS - in the CD stop mode (Up to a maximum of 64 tracks)
2.Open the CD door. Hold the disc by
its sides and carefully make it fit onto the central support of compartment with the label side facing towards you until you hear a “click”. The total number and times of tracks will show on the display.
TO INTERRUPT PLAYBACK
Press the PLAY/PAUSE
button. The track time will blink. To resume playback, press the PLAY/
PAUSE
button again.
TO STOP PLAYBACK
Press the STOP
button.

To move backward at high speed
Keep the SKIP
button pressed during play and release at the desired point.
To move forward at high speed

to skip tracks backward one by one.

NOTE :
The CD player may skip if the loud speakers are situated close to the player and if high volume or x-bass levels are used.

1.In standby mode, press and hold
the MEMORY
button for about 3 seconds until time format blinks on display.

buttons to set 12 Hour or 24 Hour time format.
5.Press the MEMORY button, the Minute blinks.

buttons to set correct minute, and then press the MEMORY
button to start
the clock.

button to start playback of the programmed tracks and memory indicator will appear on display.
To check the program
While in the stop mode, press the MEM
button. The disc, track and program numbers will appear on the display. Press the MEM
button again to view
the other programmed selections. These displays do not appear during pro-
grammed play.
To play the programmed tracks
Press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
To stop programmed play
Press the STOP button, if you want to recover programmed play. You can first press MEM
button and then
press PLAY
button again.
To clear the memory content
Press the STOP button and then open the CD door or press MEM
button and then press the STOP button in stop mode.

6. Press the SLEEP/TIMER button, the minute will blink.
7. Press the TUNING / SKIP / buttons to set minutes.
8. Press the SLEEP/TIMER button, the "TUNER" will blink on the display.

buttons to set CD or TUNER.
10.Press the SLEEP/TIMER button, the "VOL" will blink on the display.
11.Press the TUNING / SKIP

buttons to set volume.
12.Press the SLEEP/TIMER button to "confirm" and turn on time, turn off time, CD or TUNER, VOL will sequence automatically on display. Finally the "
" indicator and clock
time will on the display.
SLEEP SETTING
When the sleep timer is used, the power is automatically turned off after the specified time passes.
NOTE :
Press SLEEP/TIMER button to set the sleep timer after 5 seconds. The sleep setting is automatically turned on.
1.Press the SLEEP/TIMER button while the power is on. "SLEEP 90" lights in the display.
Note:SLEEP can be adjusted in
TUNER, CD and AUX modes.
2.Press the SLEEP/TIMER button one by one to select the length of remaining time until the unit turns off. It changes the indicator in the following way:
The sleep timer is set and the word "SLEEP" is shown on the display. To cancel the sleep timer, press the SLEEP/TIMER button until "SLEEP" go out in the display.

TO ADJUST THE VOLUME
Press the VOLUME UP / DOWN button to obtain the desired volume level.
FOR PRIVATE LISTENING
Connect headphones (Ø3.5 mm stereo mini-plug) to the
PHONES
jack. When headphones are connected,
speakers automatically disconnected.
TO SELECT X-BASS (FOR REMOTE ONLY)
X-BASS is designed specifically to boost the low frequency sound to obtain a more powerful bass.
ADJUSTING THE SOUND
TURNING ON THE UNIT
TO TURN ON THE UNIT
Press the STANDBY/ON button, the indicator will turn off. Select the desired function and the corresponding function indicator will light up.
TO TURN OFF THE UNIT
Press the STANDBY/ON button to STANDBY, the indicator will light up and only clock display will light up.
CD PLAYBACK
TIMER PLAY AND TURN OFF THE UNIT AUTOMATICALLY
The power can be turn on or turn off automatically at a preset time. So that you can listen CD and RADIO function only. Make sure the clock is correct before TIMER OPERATION. Make sure the time which use to turn on or turn off is correct, please refer to CLOCK setting procedure.
NOTE : 1. To check the TIMER, press the TIMER button twice (for remote only).
2. To cancel the TIMER function, press the TIMER button once (for remote
only) and "
" will go out in the display.
