• Do not operate the pressure cleaner with the inlet water screen removed. Keep the screen clear of debris and sediment.

• NEVER operate the pressure cleaner with broken or missing parts. Check the unit regularly and have worn or damaged parts replaced immediately.

• Use only the nozzle supplied with this machine.

• Never leave the wand unattended while the machine is running.

• Never attempt to alter factory settings. Altering factory settings could damage the unit and will void the

warranty.

• Always hold the gun and wand firmly when starting and operating the machine.

• NEVER allow the unit to run for more than one (1) minute without spraying water. The resulting heat build-up

will damage the pump.

• The pressure cleaner is not meant to pump hot water. NEVER connect it to a hot water supply as it will significantly reduce the life of the pump.

• NEVER store the pressure cleaner outdoors or where it could freeze. This would seriously damage the pump.

• Release the trigger when you want to change the pressure setting. Failure to do so could result in damage.

• Install an additional sand filter (not incl.) when using water from a different source than the potable water

mains.

CAUTION

• Keep the hose away from sharp objects. Bursting hoses may cause injury. Examine the hose regularly and replace it if damaged. Do not attempt to repair a damaged hose.

DANGER: EXTENSION CORDS

• Use only grounded three-wire extension cords that are in good condition.

• Use of an extension cord is not recommended. Use only extension cords intended for outdoor use.

• Use only extension cords with an electrical rating equal to or higher than the rating of the device.

• Examine the extension cord prior to use and replace it if damaged.

• Do not pull on the cord to disconnect the device from the mains; pull the plug instead.

• Keep the cord away from heat and sharp edges.

• Always disconnect the cord from the receptacle before disconnecting the device from the extension cord.

• Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury, including death.

• Keep all connections dry and off the ground to reduce the risk of electrocution. Do not touch plug with wet

hands.

How to mount your high-pressure cleaner:

• Mount the spray nozzle on the trigger gun

• Attach the spray handle to the high-pressure hose. Prior to operating the machine please ensure that the high-

pressure hose has been completely uncoiled. Make sure the hose DOESN’T loop during operation.

• Attach the high-pressure hose to the unit’s pressure water outlet.

• Connect the machine to the water and power supplies. Use an inlet hose (not incl.) of at least 1m long and

capable of withstanding a pressure of 0.8MPa.

5. Preparations

Adjusting the Fan Pattern

• The angle of the spray coming out of the lance may be adjusted on some lances by rotating the nozzle. This will vary the spray pattern from approximately a 0° high-impact stream to a 60° fan spray (see fig. B1).

• A narrow stream exerts a high impact force on the target surface and results in maximum deep cleaning in a concentrated area. However, this narrow high- impact spray must be used cautiously, as it may damage some surfaces (fig. B2).

• A wide fan pattern will distribute the impact of the water over a larger area, resulting in excellent cleaning action with a reduced risk of surface damage (fig. B3).

Nozzle Cleaning

A clogged or partially clogged nozzle can cause a significant reduction in the quantity of water coming out of the nozzle and may cause the unit to pulsate while spraying.

• Turn off and unplug the unit.

• Turn off the water supply. Relieve any pressure trapped in the hose by squeezing the trigger 2-3 times

• Separate the lance from the gun.

• Rotate the nozzle to the narrow stream setting.

• Use the included tip cleaner or a thin metal object to insert the wire into the nozzle hole and move it back and

forth until the debris is dislodged (see fig. B4).

• Remove additional debris by back-flushing water through the nozzle. To do this, place end of a garden hose (with the water running) to the end of the nozzle for 30-60 seconds.

Angle to the Target Surface

When spraying water against a surface, maximum impact is generated when the water strikes the surface “head on.” However, this type of impact tends to cause dirt particles to imbed in the surface instead of removing them. The optimum spraying angle is 45 degrees.

Distance to the Target Surface

Another factor that determines the impact force of the water is the distance from the spray nozzle to the target surface. The impact force of the water is increased as the nozzle is moved closer to the surface.

Avoiding Damage to the Target Surface

Damage to target surfaces occurs because the impact force of the water exceeds the durability of the surface. That impact force is determined by the fan pattern and the distance and angle to the target surface. Never use a narrow high-impact stream or a turbo nozzle (not incl.) on a surface that is susceptible to damage. Avoid spraying windows with a narrow high impact stream or turbo nozzle (not incl.) as this may cause breakage.

Follow this procedure to avoid damage to target surfaces:

• Before triggering the gun, adjust the nozzle to a wide fan pattern

• Respect a min. distance of 1.5m to the target surface and use a spray angle of ± 45°

• Vary the pattern spray angle and the distance to the target surface slightly until optimum cleaning efficiency is

achieved without damaging the surface

Turbo nozzle (not incl.)

A turbo nozzle, sometimes referred to as a rotary nozzle, is a very effective tool that can significantly reduce cleaning time. The turbo nozzle combines the power of a narrow high-impact stream with the efficiency of a 25° fan pattern. This swirls the narrow high-impact stream into a cone shape that cleans a larger area.

CAUTION:

Since a turbo nozzle uses a narrow high-impact stream, you should only use it target surfaces that cannot be damaged by this type of spray. Also, the turbo nozzle is NOT adjustable and cannot be used to apply detergent.

Detergents

The use of detergents can dramatically reduce cleaning time and assist in the removal of difficult stains. Some detergents have been customised for pressure cleaner use on specific cleaning tasks. These detergents are approximately as thick as water. The use of thicker detergents, such as dish soap, will clog the chemical injection system and prevent the application of the detergent. The cleaning power of detergents comes from applying them to a surface and giving the chemicals time to break down the dirt and grime. Detergents work best when applied at low pressure. The combination of chemical action and high-pressure rinsing is very effective. On vertical surfaces you should start applying the detergent at the bottom and work your way up. This will prevent the detergent from running down and causing streaks. High-pressure rinsing should be handles the same way. In case of particularly tough stains it may be necessary to use a brush in combination with detergents and highpressure rinsing.

6. Operation

Follow the procedure below for maximum efficiency in the shortest amount of time. Remember to use the techniques outlined under “Preparations”.

Surface Preparation

Take the necessary precautions before you start: leave your car, garden furniture, etc. at a safe distance. Make sure all windows and doors are closed tight. In addition, protect all plants and trees near the target area from contact with the detergent.

Initial high-pressure Rinse

The next step is to spray the target surface with water to clear off any dirt or grime that may have collected there. This will allow your detergent to attack the dirt that has worked its way into the cleaning surface. Before triggering the gun, adjust the nozzle to a wide fan pattern and slowly adjust to the desired spray pattern. This will help you avoid applying too much concentrated spray to the surface, which could cause damage.

Detergent Application (see fig. B6) NOTE: Use only detergents formulated for pressure washes. Test the detergent in an inconspicuous area before

use. Respect the detergent manufacturer’s label directions to determine the correct detergent-to-water mixing ratio (it will be ± 1 to 19 or 5.5%).

• Unscrew the top of the detergent injector and fill the injector with detergent.

• Screw the top back on.

• Remove the lance from the gun.

• Attach the detergent injector to the gun (fig. B7).

• Apply detergent so it thoroughly covers cleaning surface. Apply from bottom to top to prevent detergent from

sliding down and streaking.

• Allow detergent to remain on the surface for a few minutes. This is a good time to use a brush to lightly scrub heavily soiled areas. Never allow detergent to dry on the cleaning surface.

• Remove the detergent injector from the gun.

• Rinse detergent from surface.

Remember to rinse the detergent injector with water after use! Final Rinse

Start from the bottom up and make sure all detergent is removed from the target surface.

Shut-Down

• Make sure all detergent is flushed from the system.

• Turn off the motor.

• Turn off the water supply.

• Now trigger the gun to depressurise the system.

• Always wipe every surface of the pressure cleaner with a clean, damp cloth after use.

• WAARSCHUWING! Explosiegevaar. Sproei NOOIT ontvlambare vloeistoffen en gebruik de hogedrukreiniger NOOIT op plaatsen met brandbaar poeder of brandbare vloeistoffen en gassen. Bedien het toestel nooit in een afgesloten gebouw of in (of nabij) een explosieve omgeving.

• WAARSCHUWING! Richt de sproeistraal niet op elektrische toestellen of draden.

• Ontkoppel de hogedrukslang nooit van het toestel wanneer het systeem onder druk staat. Als u de druk wilt

aflaten, schakelt u eerst de stroom uit. Nadien sluit u de watertoevoer af en vervolgens drukt u 2 à 3 keer op de trekker.

• Houd de trekker van het pistool nooit voortdurend ingedrukt.

• Bedien het toestel enkel wanneer alle onderdelen correct aangesloten zijn (handvat, pistool/lans, mondstuk,

enz.).

• Bedien de hogedrukreiniger niet zonder de waterfilter. Houd de filter vrij van vuilresten en afzettingsmateriaal.

• Bedien de hogedrukreiniger NOOIT met defecte of ontbrekende onderdelen. Controleer het toestel regelmatig

en laat versleten of beschadigde onderdelen onmiddellijk vervangen.

• Gebruik enkel het mondstuk dat bij dit toestel geleverd is.

• Laat de lans nooit ergens zonder toezicht liggen wanneer de machine nog draait.

• Probeer nooit de fabrieksinstellingen te wijzigen. Het wijzigen van de fabrieksinstellingen kan het toestel

beschadigen en maakt de garantie ongeldig.

• Houd het pistool en de lans altijd stevig vast wanneer u de machine start en bedient.

• Laat het toestel NOOIT langer dan een minuut draaien zonder water te spuiten. De accumulerende warmte zal

de pomp beschadigen.

• De hogedrukreiniger dient niet om warm water te pompen. Sluit de hogedrukreiniger dus NOOIT op een warmwatertoevoer aan. Dit zou de levensduur van de pomp aanzienlijk verkorten.

• Bewaar de hogedrukreiniger NOOIT buiten of op een plaats waar het kan vriezen. Dit zou de pomp ernstig beschadigen.

• Laat de trekker los wanneer u de druk wijzigt. Als u dit niet doet, zou u het toestel kunnen beschadigen.

• Installeer een bijkomende zandfilter wanneer u geen water tapt van een drinkwaterleiding.

OPGELET

• Houd de slang uit de buurt van scherpe voorwerpen. Een slang met een barst kan verwondingen veroorzaken. Kijk de slang regelmatig na en vervang ze bij schade. Probeer een beschadigde slang niet te repareren.

GEVAAR: VERLENGSNOEREN

• Gebruik enkel geaarde driedraadsverlengsnoeren die in goede staat verkeren.

• Het gebruik van een verlengsnoer wordt niet aangeraden. Gebruik enkel verlengsnoeren die bedoeld zijn om

buiten te gebruiken.

• Gebruik enkel verlengsnoeren met een nominaal vermogen dat gelijk is aan of hoger ligt dan het nominale vermogen van het toestel.

• Kijk het verlengsnoer voor gebruik na en vervang het als het beschadigd is.

• Neem steeds de plug vast om het snoer los te koppelen van het lichtnet, trek niet aan het snoer zelf.

• Houd het snoer uit de buurt van warmtebronnen en scherpe randen.

• Trek het snoer altijd eerst uit het stopcontact voor u het toestel loskoppelt van het verlengsnoer.

• Als u deze instructies niet opvolgt, kan dit ernstige verwondingen of zelfs de dood tot gevolg hebben.

• Zorg ervoor dat alle aansluitingen droog blijven en de grond niet raken, zodat het risico op elektrocutie beperkt

blijft. Raak de stekker niet met natte handen aan.

Montage van het toestel:

• Monteer de lans op de pistoolhandgreep.

• Bevestig het sproeihandvat aan de hogedrukslang. Controleer of de hogedrukslang volledig ontrold is voor u het toestel bedient. Zorg ervoor dat de slang zich tijdens het werk NIET in een lus legt.

• Sluit de hogedrukslang op de wateruitlaat van het toestel aan.

• Sluit het toestel op de water- en de stroomtoevoer aan. Gebruik een watertoevoerslang met een lengte van

minstens 1 m en bestand tegen een druk van 0,8 MPa.

5. Voorbereidingen

Het sproeipatroon afstellen

• De sproeihoek kan bij sommige lansen afgesteld worden door aan het mondstuk te draaien. Het sproeipatroon kan dan variëren van een harde straal (hoek van bijna 0°) tot een waaier van 60° (zie fig. B1).

• Een dunne straal oefent een enorme kracht op het doeloppervlak uit. Zo kunt u een geconcentreerde zone uiterst grondig reinigen. Met deze krachtige, dunne straal moet u echter voorzichtig omspringen, omdat ze bepaalde oppervlakken kan beschadigen (fig. B2).

• Een waaierpatroon zal het water over een bredere zone verspreiden voor een uitstekende schoonmaak en een verlaagd risico op schade (fig. B3).

Schoonmaak van het mondstuk Een verstopt of gedeeltelijk verstopt mondstuk kan de waterhoeveelheid dat door het mondstuk stroomt

aanzienlijk verminderen. Het toestel zou hierdoor tijdens het sproeien kunnen schokken. Schoonmaak van het mondstuk:

• Schakel het toestel uit en trek de stekker uit het stopcontact.

• Sluit de watertoevoer af. Druk 2 à 3 keer op de trekker om de resterende druk in de slang af te laten.

• Verwijder de lans van het pistool.

• Draai het mondstuk naar de stand voor een dunne straal.

• Gebruik de bijgevoegde puntreiniger of een fijn metalen voorwerp om de draad door het gaatje van het

mondstuk te duwen. Beweeg de draad op en neer tot het vuil loskomt (zie fig. B4).

• Verwijder het resterende vuil door water omgekeerd door het mondstuk te spuiten. Gebruik hiervoor een tuinslang en laat het water gedurende 30 à 60 seconden door het uiteinde van het mondstuk stromen.

Optimale sproeihoek tegenover het doeloppervlak Het water raakt het oppervlak het hardst als u de pistoolhandgreep er recht op richt. Hierdoor kan het vuil zich

echter in het oppervlak nestelen in plaats van eraf te stromen. De optimale sproeihoek bedraagt 45 graden.

Afstand tot het doeloppervlak

Een andere factor die de kracht van de impact bepaalt, is de afstand van het sproeimondstuk tot het doeloppervlak. De kracht van de impact verhoogt als het mondstuk dichter bij het oppervlak gehouden wordt.

Schade aan het doeloppervlak voorkomen

Het doeloppervlak kan schade oplopen als de kracht van de impact groter is dan de duurzaamheid van het oppervlak. Deze kracht hangt af van het sproeipatroon en de afstand en de hoek tegenover het doeloppervlak. Gebruik nooit een krachtige, dunne straal of een turbolans (niet meegeleverd) voor de schoonmaak van een oppervlak dat snel beschadigd kan worden. Gebruik de krachtige, dunne straal of het turbomondstuk ook niet om vensters te reinigen. Zij zouden kunnen breken.

Volg deze procedure om schade aan een doeloppervlak te vermijden:

• Stel het mondstuk op een breed sproeipatroon in voor u de trekker van het pistool indrukt.

• Neem een minimumafstand van 1,5 m tot het doeloppervlak in acht en sproei met een hoek van ± 45°.

• Wijzig de sproeihoek en de afstand tot het doeloppervlak geleidelijk, totdat u de optimale instelling bereikt hebt

voor een efficiënte schoonmaak zonder daarbij het oppervlak te beschadigen.

Turbolans (niet meegeleverd) Een turbolans, soms ook wel draaimondstuk genoemd, is een uiterst doeltreffend hulpstuk dat de schoonmaaktijd

aanzienlijk kan verkorten. De turbolans combineert de kracht van een dunne straal met de efficiëntie van een sproeipatroon van 25°. Hij slingert de krachtige, dunne straal in een kegelvorm op het oppervlak, zodat een bredere zone gereinigd kan worden.

OPGELET:

Aangezien de turbolans alleen maar met een krachtige, dunne straal werkt, mag u dit hulpstuk enkel gebruiken op doeloppervlakken die niet door deze straal beschadigd kunnen worden. De turbolans kan overigens NIET afgesteld worden. U kunt hem ook niet met een reinigingsmiddel gebruiken.

Detergenten Het gebruik van een reinigingsmiddel kan de schoonmaaktijd aanzienlijk verkorten en u helpen om de meest

hardnekkige vlekken te verwijderen. Sommige detergenten zijn speciaal aangepast voor specifieke schoonmaaktaken met de hogedrukreiniger. Deze reinigingsmiddelen zijn bijna zo dun als water. Het gebruik van minder dunne detergenten, zoals afwasmiddel, zal het injectiesysteem verstoppen en het reinigingsmiddel blokkeren. Detergenten kunnen enkel op een oppervlak inwerken als de chemische producten de tijd krijgen om het vuil af te breken. Zij werken dus het best als u ze niet onder hoge druk op het oppervlak sproeit. De combinatie van de werking van de chemische producten en nadien het afspoelen onder hoge druk is uiterst efficiënt. Op verticale oppervlakken moet u het reinigingsmiddel eerst onderaan aanbrengen en zo verder naar boven toe werken. Op die manier loopt het product niet naar beneden, zodat u geen strepen achterlaat. Het afspoelen onder hoge druk doet u op dezelfde manier. Voor bijzonder hardnekkige vlekken zou u een borstel nodig kunnen hebben in combinatie met een detergent en het afspoelen onder hoge druk.

6. Gebruik

Volg de onderstaande procedure voor een maximale efficiëntie in een zo kort mogelijke tijd. Denk eraan om de technieken onder ‘Voorbereidingen’ toe te passen.

Klaarmaken van het oppervlak

Neem de nodige voorzorgsmaatregelen voor u begint: plaats uw wagen op een afstand en dek tuinmeubelen af, enz. Zorg ervoor dat alle vensters en deuren veilig gesloten zijn. Bescherm de planten en bomen in de buurt van de schoonmaakzone zodat ze niet in contact komen met de detergent.

Afspoelen onder hoge druk

Bij de volgende stap spoelt u het doeloppervlak eerst met water af om het samengepakte vuil te verwijderen. Hierdoor zal het reinigingsmiddel nadien goed het vuil kunnen aanvallen dat zich in het oppervlak genesteld heeft. Voor u op de trekker van het pistool drukt, stelt u eerst het mondstuk op een breed sproeipatroon af. Vervolgens wijzigt u het sproeipatroon geleidelijk, totdat u het gewenste patroon bereikt hebt. Op deze manier richt u niet onopzettelijk een te geconcentreerde straal op het oppervlak, waardoor u schade zou kunnen veroorzaken.

Gebruik van een detergent (zie fig. B6) OPMERKING: gebruik enkel detergenten die geschikt zijn voor hogedrukreinigers. Test het detergent voor

gebruik. Volg de richtlijnen van de fabrikant om de correcte verhouding detergent/water te bepalen (1 op 19 of 5.5%).

• Schroef de dop van de doseerfles los en vul het reservoir met reinigingsmiddel.

• Schroef de dop terug op het reservoir.

• Verwijder de lans van het pistool.

• Bevestig de doseerfles op het pistool (fig. B7).

• Sproei het reinigingsmiddel op het oppervlak totdat dit volledig bedekt is. Breng het reinigingsmiddel van onder

naar boven aan, zodat het niet naar beneden loopt en strepen achterlaat.

• Laat het detergent enkele minuten op het oppervlak inwerken. Ondertussen kunt u met een borstel de vuilste zones voorzichtig afschrobben. Laat het reinigingsmiddel nooit op het oppervlak indrogen.

• Vervang de doseerfles opnieuw door de lans.

• Spoel het detergent van het oppervlak af.

Denk eraan om de doseerfles na gebruik met water uit te spoelen! Afspoelen

Begin onderaan en zorg ervoor dat er geen resten van het detergent op het doeloppervlak achterblijven.

Uitschakelen

• Zorg ervoor dat er geen resten van het detergent in het systeem achterblijven.

• Schakel de motor uit.

• Sluit de watertoevoer af.

• Duw op de trekker van het pistool om de resterende druk af te laten.

• Maak alle oppervlakken van de hogedrukreiniger na gebruik telkens met een vochtig doek schoon.

OPGELET: Sluit de watertoevoer NOOIT af voor u de motor uitschakelt. Dit zou de pomp en/of de motor ernstig

Druk aflaten: schakel de motor uit, sluit vervolgens de watertoevoer af en druk 2 à 3 keer op de trekker.

7. Tips om de levensduur van uw hogedrukreiniger te verlengen

• Bewaar de hogedrukreiniger NOOIT buiten of op een plaats waar het kan vriezen. Dit zou de pomp ernstig beschadigen.

• Bedien het toestel nooit zonder water.

• De hogedrukreiniger dient niet om warm water te pompen. Sluit de hogedrukreiniger dus NOOIT op een

warmwatertoevoer aan. Dit zou de levensduur van de pomp aanzienlijk verkorten.

• Laat het toestel NOOIT langer dan een minuut draaien zonder water te sproeien. De accumulerende warmte zal de pomp beschadigen.
