This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle could harm the environment.
Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect the local environmental rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.

2. Safety Instructions
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer
will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
Do not use this device near water, dripping or splashing liquids. Never place or use the device atop any object
filled with liquids.
Do not install or use the device near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or any other device
producing heat. Keep away from naked flame sources such as lighted candles.
Only use a power supply recommended by the manufacturer. Make sure that the available voltage does not
exceed the voltage stated in the specifications of this manual. Do not crimp the power cord and protect it against damage. Have an authorised dealer replace it if necessary. Disconnect the device from the mains to clean it or when it is not in use. Handle the power cord by the plug only.
Do not move the device when connected to another device. Do not place the device face down.
Listen in a safe way and keep volumes at a reasonable level to avoid hearing loss.
Follow these instructions concerning the batteries to avoid injury or damage:
o do not mix new and old batteries but replace all batteries at the same time; o do not use different types of battery at the same time. Never mix alkaline batteries with zinc carbon or
rechargeable batteries;
o remove batteries when the device is not being used; o remove drained batteries immediately.
A qualified technician should service this device.
Note that damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
Keep the device away from children and unauthorised users.

Powering Your Sound Box
Your sound box can be powered either through a power adapter or by batteries. Simply connect the power adapter to the DC input at the back and plug the adapter into the mains. To power the sound box by batteries, open the two battery compartments in the base and insert 3 x 1.5V AA batteries in each compartment respecting the polarity.
NOTE: The battery power will automatically cut off when using the power adapter.
Your iPod® will automatically charge when inserting it in the Dock station. Remember to power the sound box through the power adapter as your iPod® will not charge with batteries.
Connecting Your iPod
®
Your sound box comes with 4 Dock station adapters allowing you to connect either an iPod® nano 1G, an iPod® nano 2G, an iPod® 4G or an iPod® 5G. Fit the station with the appropriate adapter and connect your iPod® with the sound box.
Connecting a Random Audio Device
Connect the HEADPHONE or LINE output of any other audio device to the sound box through the LINE input using a cable with a standard 3.5mm plug (cable not incl.). Do not connect the sound box to the speaker outputs of the connected device.
5. Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Cause
No sound.
Sound box is switched off. Volume is turned down. Auxiliary audio device or iPod® is wrongly connected. Wrong connection cable.
iPod® will not play.
iPod® is switched off. iPod® is wrongly connected.
