Installation Instructions
General Information
The Trigger Guards are available in short and long versions. The Trigger Guards may be installed to impede
accidental activation of the Torch trigger switch.
The T rigger Guard Kits can be installed on any of the following Hand (PCH) T orches with the Ergonomic Handle:
• PCH-42ER, PCH-62 & PCH-102 SureLok Plasma
Torches
• PCH-40, PCH-60 & PCH-80 Plasma Torches
• PCH-100ER & PCH-28ER Plasma Torches
These instructions are supplied to ensure the proper installation of the T rigger Guard Kit. It is r ecommended to
thoroughly read the instructions first, before attempting
the installation of the kit.
Supplied Parts
The following parts are supplied with the Trigger Guard
Kit:
• Trigger Guard (Short or Long, as ordered) - 1 each
• 6-32 x 1/4" Socket Head Cap Screw - 1 each
• 6-32 x 5/8" Socket Head Cap Screw - 1 each
• Installation Instructions - 1 each
NOTE
This screw holds the Handle Halves together and
must be installed first.
4. Secure the Trigger Guard to the left side of the Torch
Handle using the supplied 6-32 x 1/4" long screw.
WARNING
Do not hang the torch by the Guard.

Installation Procedures
Instructions have been provided for both T rigger Guar ds.
Refer to the appropriate paragraph for the T rigger Guar d
to be installed.
A. Short T rigger Guard Installation
Install the Short Trigger Guard as follows:
1. Remove the screw located at the bottom-front of the
T or ch Handle. This scr ew can be discar ded. Refer to
the illustration.
2. Place the Trigger Guard onto the To rch Handle.
3. Secure the T rigger Guard to the right side of the T o rch
Handle using the supplied 6-32 x 5/8" long screw (see
NOTE).

B. Long T rigger Guard Installation
NOTE
Install the Long Trigger Guard as follows:
1. Remove the screw located at the bottom-front of the
T or ch Handle. This scr ew can be discar ded. Refer to
the illustration.
2. Remove the screw located at the bottom-back of the
Torch Handle. Set the screw aside as it will be reinstalled later .
3. Place the Trigger Guar d onto the Tor ch Handle.
4. Secure the T rigger Guard to the right side of the T o rch
Handle using the supplied 6-32 x 5/8" long screw (see
NOTE).
NOTE
This screw holds the Handle Halves together and
must be installed first.
5. Secure the Trigger Guard to the left side of the Torch
Handle using the supplied 6-32 x 1/4" long screw.
6. Secure the T rigger Guard to the right side of the T o rch
Handle using the screw removed in step 3 above.
