ABOUT PRESENTERWARE
PresenterWare allows users to control Turning Technologies polling software through the use of an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch
or Android device. The application allows users to open and close polling, view results in real time, open and toggle Response
Grids, insert questions on the fly and mark existing questions as Anonymous. In addition to advanced polling functionality,
PresenterWare allows for easy PowerPoint slide movement.
PresenterWare requires a stable Wi-Fi connection to operate and the presenting computer must be on the same local network.
PresenterWare is available in the Apple App Store, iTunes and in the Google Play Store.
Technical Requirements
The following are required for PresenterWare to properly function.
One of the following software applications:
l TurningPoint Cloud - 6.0 or higher
l TurningPoint 5 - 5.1 or higher
l TurningPoint 2008 - 4.2.4 or higher
l TurningPoint AnyWhere Mac or PC - 2.4 or higher
l Bonjour (optional)
l For Apple, iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad OS 3.0 or higher
l For Android, OS 1.5 or higher
l Stable Wi-Fi connection

Configuring PresenterWare for TurningPoint Cloud and
TurningPoint 5
The following settings must be configured in order for PresenterWare to connect to a PowerPoint Polling or Anywhere Polling
session.

Open TurningPoint Cloud/TurningPoint 5.

If using TurningPoint Cloud, sign in to your Turning Account.

Click Preferences in the lower right corner of the Dashboard.

Select Connections from the left panel.

Scroll to the PresenterWare section in the right panel.

Place a check in the box next to Enable PresenterWare Support.

Enter the network port number in the PresenterWare Port field. The default port is 6090.

Optionally, enter the presenting computer’s Bonjour Name.

Connecting the PresenterWare Device
PresenterWare is able to connect to the session once the configuration in TurningPoint Cloud/TurningPoint 5 is complete. The
steps below will establish a connection between PresenterWare and PowerPoint Polling or Anywhere Polling.

Open the PresenterWare application.

Enter the presenting computer’s Host (IP address) by expanding the + icon in
the upper right corner of the application.
l Manually entered Hosts are displayed under Manual Hosts. To enter
a Manual Host, select the + icon and enter the presenting computer’s
Host. The presenting computer’s Host (IP address) can be found in
Preferences under PresenterWare.
l Hosts running Bonjour are displayed under Discovered Hosts.

Tap the Host or Bonjour Name associated with the presenting computer.
l A challenge code is displayed on the device when connecting to a
Host for the first time.

Open PowerPoint Polling or Anywhere Polling.

For PowerPoint Polling users, click the Preferences icon on the TurningPoint ribbon/toolbar. For Anywhere Polling
users, click the Preferences icon on the Anywhere showbar.

Select Connections from the left panel.

Scroll to PresenterWare in the right panel and click Confirm.

Enter the challenge code in the boxes provided.

Click Accept.

Configuring PresenterWare for TurningPoint 2008
The following settings must be configured in order for PresenterWare to connect to a TurningPoint 2008 session.

Open TurningPoint 2008.

Click Tools and select Settings from the TurningPoint toolbar.

Select Response Devices from the left panel.

Scroll to the PresenterWare section in the right panel.
