The Turning Account website provides instructors the ability to create participant lists to be used with TurningPoint Cloud.
When the instructor adds a participant to a participant list, the participant receives an email invitation to register for the course.
Aside from creating and managing participant lists, instructors can download Turning Technologies software, view their license
information and manage their Turning Account.

Creating a Turning Account
A Turning Account is a unique identifier that is used to tie together all software accounts and response devices. A Turning
Account is required for use with TurningPoint Cloud and ResponseWare.

Go to https://account.turningtechnologies.com/.

Click Create Account.
The Sign Up page is displayed.

Enter your email address and click Next.
A verification email will be sent to the email address you provide.

Check your email and click the link to verify your Turning Account.
NOTE
If you did not receive the verification email, click the Resend Verification button in Turning
Account.

Enter all required fields as noted by the asterisks on the Profile page.

From the Role drop-down menu, select Instructor.

Select the box labeled I accept the Terms of Use and click Create account.
The Dashboard is displayed.
Creating a Participant List
Creating a participant list from Turning Account allows participants to register for a course. After the participant list is created,
an email invitation is sent to participants requesting them to register for the course associated to the participant list.

Sign in to your Turning Account.

Go to https://account.turningtechnologies.com and sign in to your Turning Account.
Click Add.
The Save Participant List window opens.

Enter the participant list name and ID.
TIP
It is highly recommended to name the participant list after the course (refer to screenshot).
Participants can search for the course by course name, course ID, instructor name or EXACT
instructor email.

Click Save.
The participant list is successfully saved.

Select the participant list and click the Manageicon.
The participant list opens.

Click Add.
The Invite Participants window opens.

Enter a participant's email address. To add multiple participants, separate email addresses with a comma. Valid email
addresses are marked green while invalid email addresses are marked red.
TIP
Copy and paste email addresses into the Invite Participants window. Email addresses MUST be
separated with a comma (,).

Click Send to invite the participant(s).
NOTE
Click the Accepted or Invited buttons to track which participants have or have not registered for
the course.
Importing a Participant List
A participant list created on the Turning Account Registration website can easily be imported into the TurningPoint Cloud
software.

Open TurningPoint Cloud and sign in to your Turning Account.

Click the Manage tab.

Click the Participant List drop-down menu and select New.
The Create Participant List window is displayed.

Select the Download from Integration radio button and click Create List.
The Connect to Integration window is displayed.

Select Turning Account Registration from the Integration drop-down menu.
The Server Address, Username and Password are automatically populated.

Click Connect.
The Import Participant List window is displayed.

Select the participant list(s) to import.

Click Import.
The participant list(s) is imported and placed in the left panel.
The imported participant list contains the following information: Device ID(s), License Status,
First Name, Last Name, User ID and Email.
IMPORTANT
A Turning Account license is mandatory for each participant. If a participant does not purchase a Turning
Account license, his or her score will show as an asterisk in all TurningPoint Cloud participant reports.
Furthermore, his or her score will export as "0" to an Excel workbook and will not be exported to an LMS.
Downloading Software
Prerequisites
You must have Administrative privileges on your computer to download the Install version of the software.
IMPORTANT
Prior to downloading, verify with your institution which version of the software is supported.

Sign in to your Turning Account.

Select Downloads from the left menu.

Select the appropriate version of either TurningPoint Cloud or TurningPoint 5.

Save the file to a specified location.

Open the file and follow the on-screen instructions.
Viewing License Information
You can view the type and expiration date of your license at any time.

Click the License tab.
l A ResponseWare Presentation license enables participants using the ResponseWare app to respond to polling
questions.
l A ResponseWare Concurrent license enables instructors to allow participants who do not have Turning
Accounts to respond to polling questions.
Managing Your Account
You can make any necessary adjustments to your Turning Account information from the Profile tab.
Editing your user information...

Sign in to your Turning Account.

Select Profile from the left menu.

From the User Information section, you can edit your:
In the Password section, enter a new password in the Password field.

Re-enter the password in the Confirm Password field.

Click Save.
Adding additional email addresses...
In the event that you used the incorrect email address, such as a personal email address, you can add a secondary email
address and then set the secondary email address as your primary email address.
IMPORTANT
All communication is sent to the primary email address.

In the Emails section, click Add.
The Add Secondary Email window opens.

Enter the email address and click Save.
NOTE
You can add up to five secondary email addresses.

Check your email and click the link to verify the secondary email address.

To set the secondary email address as the primary email address, select the secondary email address and click Make
primary.

To remove an email address, select the email address and click Remove.
IMPORTANT
One email address must remain active at all times.
