Einbauanweisung
Ersteinbau
Einbau und Reparatur des Gerätes darf nur vom Fachmann durchgeführt werden. Vor den Arbeiten Einbauan-
weisung sorgfältig durchlesen und befolgen!
Die Missachtung der Einbauvorschriften bzw.
ein falscher Einbau kann zur Gefährdung von
Personen und zu Sachschäden führen.
Verwendungszweck
Die Elektro-Zusatzheizung Ultraheat ist für den Einbau in eine
Heizung S 3004, S 3004 P, S 5004 oder S 5004 E (NL) geeignet. Die Zusatzheizung wird am Einbaukasten der Heizung
befestigt und sitzt zwischen Einbaukasten und Wärmetauscher. Für den Betrieb der Zusatzheizung ist ein elektrischer
Anschluss mit 230 V ~ 50 Hz (8,5 A) erforderlich.
Andere Anwen dungen sind nur nach Rück sprache mit Truma
möglich.
Konformitätserklärung
Die Elektro-Zusatzheizung Ultraheat ist durch den DVGW
geprüft und ist berechtigt, das CE-Zeichen zu führen. (Konformitätserklärung – siehe Gebrauchsanweisung der entsprechenden Heizung).
Die CE-Produkt-Ident-Nummer der Heizung bleibt unverändert gültig.

Vorgestanzten Durchbruch (U) am Einbaukasten (1) für
die Durchführung der Steuerelektronik ausbrechen.
Heizelement (70) von der Innenseite des Einbaukastens (1)
durchstecken und mit 6 Schrauben B 3,5 x 9,5 mm befestigen.
Einbaukasten (1) und Gebläse TEB-3 oder TN-3 wie in der
Einbauanweisung der Heizung beschrieben montieren.

Den weiteren Heizungseinbau gemäß der Einbauanweisung
der entsprechenden Heizung vornehmen.
Vorschriften
Zum Erlöschen von Gewährleistungs- und Garantieansprüchen
sowie zum Ausschluss von Haftungsansprüchen führen
insbesondere:
–
Veränderungen am Gerät (einschließlich Zubehörteilen),
–
Veränderungen an der Abgasführung und am Kamin,
–
Verwendung von anderen als Truma Originalteilen als
Ersatz- und Zubehörteile,
–
das Nichteinhalten der Einbau- und Gebrauchsanweisung.
Außerdem erlischt die Betriebserlaubnis des Gerätes und
dadurch in manchen Ländern auch die Betriebserlaubnis des
Fahrzeuges.
Nachrüstung
Die Nachrüstung einer Elektro-Zusatzheizung Ultraheat erfordert den Ausbau der Heizung einschließlich Einbaukasten und
Gebläse und darf nur durch einen Fachmann erfolgen.
Nach dem Ausbau wird die Zusatzheizung, wie unter „Ersteinbau“ beschrieben, in den Einbaukasten eingebaut.
Vor dem erneuten Anschluss des Abgasrohrs muss
zwingend ein neuer O-Ring (34) montiert werden.

Vorgestanzten Durchbruch (U) am Einbaukasten-Außenteil (1) für die Durchführung der Steuerelektronik
ausbrechen.
Das untere Teil des Einbaukasten-Innenteils (2) an der Perforierung (2a) abbrechen.
Heizelement (70) von der Innenseite des Einbaukasten-Außenteils (1) durchstecken und mit 6 Schrauben B 3,5 x 9,5 mm
befestigen.
Einbaukasten-Außenteil (1), Einbaukasten-Innenteil (2) und
Gebläse TEB-3 oder TN-3 wie in der Einbauanweisung der
Heizung beschrieben montieren.

Den weiteren Heizungseinbau gemäß der Einbauanweisung
der entsprechenden Heizung vornehmen.

Montage des Bedienteils
Elektrischer Anschluss 230 V
Bei Verwendung von fahrzeug- bzw. herstellerspezi-
fischen Bedienteilen, muss der elektrische Anschluss
gemäß den Truma Schnittstellenbeschreibungen erfolgen.
Jede Veränderung der dazugehörigen Truma Teile führt zum
Erlöschen der Garantie sowie zum Ausschluss von Haftungsansprüchen. Der Einbauer (Hersteller) ist für eine Gebrauchsanweisung für den Benutzer sowie für die Bedruckung der
Bedienteile verantwortlich!
Bei der Platzwahl beachten, dass weder die Vorder- noch die
Rückseite des Bedienteils einer direkten Wärmeabstrahlung
ausgesetzt ist.
Länge des Anschlusskabels 3 m. Bei Bedarf ist eine Kabelverlängerung mit 5 m Länge (die in Kombination auf 8 m verlängert werden kann) lieferbar (Art.-Nr. 34300-01).
Ist eine Montage nur hinter Vor hängen oder ähnlichen Plätzen
mit Temperaturschwankungen möglich, so muss ein Fernfühler
für die Raumtemperatur verwendet werden (Art.-Nr. 34201-01).
Ist eine Unterputzmontage der Bedienteile nicht möglich,
liefert Truma als Zubehör einen Aufputzrahmen (71),
Art.-Nr. 40000-52600.
Loch Ø 55 mm bohren.
Das Bedienteilkabel (72) am Bedienteil (73) anstecken und die
hintere Abdeckkappe (74) als Zugentlastung aufstecken.
Das Kabel nach hinten durchführen und Bedienteil mit
4 Schrauben (75) befestigen. Anschließend Abdeckrahmen (76)
aufstecken.

Der elektrische Anschluss 230 V darf nur vom Fach-
mann (in Deutschland z. B. nach VDE 0100, Teil 721
oder IEC 60364-7-721) durchgeführt werden. Die hier abgedruckten Hinweise sind keine Aufforderung an Laien, den
elektrischen Anschluss herzustellen, sondern dienen dem von
Ihnen beauftragten Fachmann als zusätzliche Information!
Die Verbindung zum Netz durch das 150 cm lange Silikonkabel an eine mit mindes tens 10 A, besser 16 A, abgesicherte
Leitung herstellen.
Unbedingt auf sorgfältigen Anschluss mit den richtigen
Kabelfarben achten!
Für Wartungs- bzw. Reparaturarbeiten muss bauseitig eine
Trennvorrichtung zur allpoligen Trennung vom Netz mit
mindestens 3,5 mm Kontaktabstand vorhanden sein.
Funktionsprüfung
Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme muss das Gerät, die
Abgasführung sowie die Dichtigkeit der gesamten
Gasinstallation (nach der Druckabfallmethode) von
einem Fachmann überprüft werden.
Um eine Beschädigung der Elektronik zu vermeiden, muss unbedingt darauf geachtet werden, dass die Warmluftschläuche
am Gebläse TEB-3 oder TN-3 sicher befestigt sind.
Anschließend gemäß der Gebrauchsanweisung sämtliche
Funktionen des Gerätes prüfen.
Die Gebrauchsanweisung ist dem Fahrzeughalter
auszuhändigen.

Zum optischen Abschluss der Abdeckrahmen liefert
Truma Seitenteile (77) in 8 verschiedenen Farben.
Bitte fragen Sie Ihren Händler.
Bedienteilkabel (72) zum Gerät verlegen und an der
Steuer elektronik aufstecken.
Als Zugentlastung das Bedienteilkabel (72) mittels beiliegendem Kabelbinder (78) an der Steuerelektronik sichern.
Je nach Montage kann das Bedienteilkabel in umgekehrter
Reihenfolge verlegt werden, also zuerst an der Steuerelektronik anstecken und mit Kabelbinder sichern. Anschließend zum Bedienteil verlegen und an dieses anstecken.

Installation instructions
First-time installation
The appliance may only be installed and repaired by an
expert. Read the installation instructions carefully before work
and follow them.
Non-compliance with installation instructions or
incorrect installation can result in endangerment
of persons and property.
Intended use
The electrical auxiliary heater Ultraheat is suitable for installation in an S 3004, S 3004 P, S 5004 or S 5004 E (NL) heater.
The auxiliary heater is attached to the heater‘s installation box
between the installation box and heat exchanger. A 230 V ~
50 Hz (8.5 A) power supply is required to operate the auxiliary
heater.
Other forms of use are also possible after consultation with
Truma.
Declaration of conformity
The electrical auxiliary heater Ultraheat has been tested by
the DVGW and is entitled to bear the CE symbol. (Declaration
of conformity – see operating instructions for the respective
heater).
The CE Product Identity Number of the heating system remains
valid without change.

Break out perforated section (U) on the exterior of
installation box (1) for passing through the control
electronics.
Insert heating element (70) from the inside of installation box (1)
and fasten by means of six B 3.5 x 9.5 mm screws.
Mount the installation box (1) and fan TEB-3 or TN-3 as
described in the heater‘s installation instructions.

Proceed installing the heater installation process as described
in the installation instructions of the respective heater.
Regulations
Guarantee claims, warranty claims and acceptance of liability
will be ruled out in the event of the following:
–
modifications to the unit (including accessories),
–
modifications to the exhaust duct and the cowl,
–
failure to use original Truma parts as replacement parts and
accessories,
–
failure to follow the installation and operating instructions.
Furthermore, the approval for operating the appliance will
become invalid and in some countries also the approval for
operating the vehicle.
Retrofitting
When an electrical auxiliary heater Ultraheat is retrofitted, the
heater, the installation box and fan also need to be dismantled; this may only be carried by a specialist.
After these parts are dismantled, the auxiliary heater is installed into the installation box as described in „First-time
installation“.
Before re-connecting the exhaust duct, a new O-ring (34)
must be fitted.

Break out perforated section (U) on the exterior of installation box (1) for passing through the control electronics.
Break out the lower part of the interior of installation box (2) at
perforation (2a).
Insert heating element (70) from the inside of installation
box (1) and fasten by means of six B 3.5 x 9.5 mm screws.
Mount the outer part of the installation box (1), the inner part
of the installation box (2) and the fan TEB-3 or TN-3 as described in the heater‘s installation instructions.

Installation of the control panel
230 V Electrical supply
When using operating elements which are specific to
the vehicle or the manufacturer, the electrical connection must be established in accordance with the Truma interface descriptions. Any modification made to the Truma components pertaining to this will lead to the invalidation of the
guarantee, as well as to the exclusion of any claims for liability.
The installer (manufacturer) is responsible for providing instructions for use for the user as well as for identification
printing on the control panels!
In selecting a location, make sure that neither the front nor the
back of the control panel will be exposed to direct heat.
Length of connection cable 3 m. If required, a cable extension
of 5 m in length is available (which in combination can be
extended to 8 m – part no. 34300-01).
If the control panel can only be installed behind curtains or
similar location where temperature fluctuations may occur, it
is necessary to use a remote sensor for the room temperature
(part no. 34201-01).
If the control panels cannot be flush-mounted, Truma
can provide an on-surface frame (71), part no. 40000-
52600, as an accessory.
Drill a hole 55 mm in diameter.
Plug the operating cable (72) into the control panel (73) and fit
on the rear cover cap (74) as a strain-relieving device.
Feed the cable through to the back, secure the control panel
with four screws (75) and fit the cover frame (76).
The 230 V electrical connection must always be made
by an expert (in accordance with VDE 0100, part 721 or
IEC 60364-7-721, for example, in Germany). The instructions
provided here should not be understood as a recommendation
for amateurs to install the electrical supply line. They are intended as additional information for the professional electrician you have hired!
Connect to the mains supply via the 150 cm long silicone
cable by means of a fuse-protected line of at least 10 A (better
16 A).
Be sure to connect the wires according to the correct colours!
For maintenance and repair work a separator must be provided for all-pole separa-tion from the mains supply with at least
3.5 mm contact clearance.
Function test
Before operating for the first time, the appliance, exhaust ducting and gas-tightness of the whole installation (by the pressure drop method) must be checked by
an expert.
To avoid damage to the electronics, ensure that the warm air
hoses on the fan TEB-3 or TN-3 are attached securely.
Finally, test all functions of the appliance in accordance with
the operating instructions.
The operating instructions must be handed to the owner of
the vehicle.

Truma offers side parts (77) in eight different colors for
finishing the cover frames in a visually pleasing way.
Please ask your dealer.
Route the control panel cable (72) to the appliance and
connect to the control electronics.
For strain relief, secure control panel cable (72) on the control
electronics by means of enclosed cleat (78).
Depending on the method of installation, the control
panel cable may be installed in the reverse direction, i.e.
connected first to the control electronics and secured by
means of the cleat. Then feed through to the control panel
and connect it to the latter.
