CAUTION: Only approved accessories may be used with this equipment. In general,
all cables must be high quality, shielded, correctly terminated and normally restricted to
two meters in length. AC adapters approved for this product employ special provisions
to avoid radio interference and should not be altered or substituted.
Unapproved modifications or operations beyond or in conflict with these instructions
for use may void authorization by the authorities to operate the equipment.
Safe Use of your Unit
Repair:
Do not attempt to dismantle the unit for repair. There are no user-serviceable
parts inside. For service, use the contact details listed on the cover of this manual or
contact your local dealer.
Battery safety:
Lithium-Ion batteries are classified by the U. S. Federal Government
as non-hazardous waste and are safe for disposal in the normal municipal waste
stream. These batteries contain recyclable materials and are accepted for recycling.
Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local regulations.
1) Do not disassemble or open, crush, bend or deform, puncture, or shred the battery
assembly. There are no user-serviceable parts in the battery assembly.
2) Do not use battery if plastic case is cracked, compromised or punctured.
3) Do not attempt to separate battery from the battery door.
4) Do not modify or remanufacture, attempt to insert foreign objects into the battery,
immerse or expose to water or other liquids.
5) Do not expose to fire, explosion, or other hazard. Do not expose to temperatures
above +158 °F (+70 °C). The battery is designed to stop functioning if it reaches
an unsafe temperature.
6) Do not short circuit a battery or allow metallic or conductive objects to contact the
battery terminals. If battery contacts appear damaged, DO NOT use the battery.
7) Use only the battery for the system for which it was specified.
8) Non-approved batteries will not function in the device. Replace the battery only
with another battery that has been qualified with the system per this standard,
IEEE-Std-1725-200x. Improper battery use or use of an unqualified battery may
present a risk of fire, explosion, leakage, or other hazard.
9) Only use the battery with a charging system that has been qualified with the
system per this standard.
10) In the event of a battery leak, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with the
skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with large amounts
of water and seek medical advice.
