Overview
TP-Link gigabit Media Converters convert between electrical and optical signals, and easily extend the
distance of an existing gigabit network. Long-range point-to-point connections are easily built with the gigabit
ber converters, ideal for connecting factory automation equipment, the network in another building, remote
surveillance system, and more.
TP-Link Gigabit WDM Media Converter is able to convert between electrical and optical signals, providing a
gigabit RJ-45 port and a gigabit SC ber port. WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) technology enables the
media converter to send and receive data simultaneusly using only one single mode ber through two channels
of dierent wavelengths, with stong anti interference ability. The maximum transmission distance can reach up
to 2 km or 20 km, varying among dierent models.
