Overview
TP-Link gigabit Media Converters convert between electrical and optical signals, and easily extend the distance of an existing gigabit network. Long-range point-to-point connections are easily built with the gigabit
ber converters, ideal for connecting factory automation equipment, the network in another building, remote
surveillance system, and more.
TP-Link Gigabit WDM Media Converter is able to convert between electrical and optical signals, providing a
gigabit RJ-45 port and a gigabit SC ber port. WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) technology enables the media converter to send and receive data simultaneusly using only one single mode ber through two channels of dierent wavelengths, with stong anti interference ability. The maximum transmission distance can reach up to 2 km or 20 km, varying among dierent models.
