Product's LED

LED F indicates the 100Mbps Link, meaning whether the product connect to the network at 100Mbps speed. LED L indicates the 100Mbps Link, meaning whether the product connects to the network at 100Mbps speed. If both of these two LEDs are light, the STP/UTP port doesn't link to the network. If only LED F is light, it means data transmission at 100Mbps or normal network link. If only LED L is light, it means data transmission at 10Mbps or normal network link.

Chapter 1 Introduction

Hardware Overview

The product is a 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet 32-bit CardBus adapter for notebooks. With the built-in connector, a RJ-45 LAN cable can be directly plugged into a notebook computer. The product complies with IEEE 802.3 10Base-T Ethernet and IEEE 802.3u 100Base-TX Fast Ethernet standard. The product completely supports IEEE802.3x full-duplex flow control, supports both 10Mbps and 100Mbps network speed and supports both Half-duplex and Full-duplex no matter the speed. The product uses Auto-Negotiation technology to detect the network speed.

Chapter 2 Installation

Card Installation

To insert the product into your PC, follow the steps list below.

1.Insert the product into a PC card slot of the notebook.

2.If you didn't install the driver before you insert the card, the system will remind you to install the driver when the system find the hardware. If there is a driver which has been configed correctly, you can access the network through this card.

3.Put one end of the STP/UTP cable to the RJ-45 port of the product, put another end to the RJ-45 port of the network.

Driver Installation

Use the drivers supplied by the diskette included in the product. For detail description, please refer to the folder help in the diskette provided by the product.

Appendix A Troubleshooting

If you experience any problems with the adapter, first make sure the appropriate driver is loaded, the proper cable is connected to the adapter port and the hub complies with the adapter
