INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your choice of the RS3200 PLUS security system to protect your vehicle! To get the most from the system, we strongly recommend that you read this Owner’s Guide completely to learn all of its features and functions.
The RS3200 PLUS provides comprehensive security protection through point-of-entry monitoring, intrusion detection and ignition switch monitoring. While A
RMED, the system will be TRIGGERED and
sound an A
LARM when a door, trunk or hatch is forcibly unlocked or opened*, or when someone
intrudes into the vehicle. This system is a vehicle theft deterrent and will not prevent theft of
personal goods in vehicle. For additional security, it is recommended that the vehicle top be in the closed position. During the A
LARM, the vehicle’s horn will sound and the headlights,
tail lights and front marker lights will flash. A l so , the vehicle’s starter is disabled, to prevent engine start.
An important note about your system
Throughout this guide, there are references to the S
TATUS MONITOR
for this system. This panel holds the LED indicator (for the system’s operating status). In vehicles with an engine immobilizer, there is already a LED installed in the vehicle. If your vehicle falls into this category, remember to look at that LED when the information refers to the S
TATUS MONITOR. If you do not know where
the LED is located, refer to your vehicle’s owner’s guide for specific information.
* When the system is P
ASSIVELY (AUTOMATICALLY) ARMED, there is an ENTRY DELAY that will
elapse when a door is opened before an A
LARM is TRIGGERED.

FEATURES FUNCTIONS The RS3200 PLUS will A
RM 30 seconds after the LOCK button on the
remote control is pressed, and D
ISARM when the UNLOCK button is
pressed. If your vehicle is equipped with a buzzer that chirps when the lock and unlock buttons on the remote controls are pressed, the buzzer will also chirp when the system is REMOTE ARMED and DISARMED.
The RS3200 PLUS will automatically R
ELOCK the vehicle’s doors if no
door is opened within 30 seconds after R
EMOTE DISARMING, then will
R
EARM 30 seconds later.
The RS3200 PLUS will A
RM 30 seconds after you close the trunk (if
open) and lock the vehicle’s doors with the key, and will D
ISARM when
you unlock a door with the key.
The RS3200 PLUS may be programmed to automatically A
RM 30
seconds after the ignition key is removed, the vehicle exited and the last doorand the trunk closed, without the necessity of locking the doors.
The RS3200 PLUS may be D
ISARMED with the vehicle’s ignition key
after it was P
ASSIVELY ARMED.
When the RS3200 PLUS has been P
ASSIVELY ARMED, an ENTRY
D
ELAY (user-selectable at 0, 15, or 30 seconds) will start when a door
is opened before an A
LARM is TRIGGERED.
When you lock the vehicle with a central lock switch (while a
door is open), the RS3200 PLUS will A
RM 30 seconds after you close
all the doors and the trunk (if open).
The RS3200 PLUS may be D
ISARMED by inserting the key into the
ignition switch and turning it to “ON.”
Forcibly unlocking or opening a door, hatch or trunk while the
RS3200 PLUS is A
RMED will TRIGGER an ALARM immediately. (If the
system was P
ASSIVELY ARMED, the ENTRY DELAY must pass before the
A
LARM is TRIGGERED.)
The RS3200 PLUS utilizes RADAR SENSOR to sense the intrusion from outside, and T
RIGGER an ALARM . It is fine tuned to detect
unauthorized movement inside the vehicle.
When RADAR SENSOR detects the intrusion, it T
RIGGERS a WARN
A
WAY ALARM; the headlights and tail and marker lights flash, and the
horn sounds for 20 seconds, but the starter is not disabled. If there is another detection of a door is opened or unlocked without a key, the regular A
LARM is TRIGGERED.
While A
RMED, the RS3200 PLUS monitors the ignition switch. If an
attempt is made to start the vehicle without a key, an A
LARM is trig-
gered.

FEATURES FUNCTIONS
When an A
LARM is TRIGGERED, the system disables the vehicle’s
starter and prevents engine start until the system is reset (D
ISARMED).
During an A
LARM, the system will lock the doors if one is unlocked,
and will continue to do so for the duration of the A
LARM.
The user is notified that an A
LARM occurred. Upon DISARMING the
system after an A
LARM was TRIGGERED, the vehicle’s tail and marker
lights will be turned on, and the B
UZZER sounds, for 2 seconds.
The RS3200 PLUS flashes the vehicle’s tail and marker lights during R
EMOTE ARMING and REMOTE DISARMING, as well as during an ALARM.
Also, the headlights flash during an A
LARM.
During an A
LARM, the RS3200 PLUS activates the vehicle’s horn.
If power to the RS3200 PLUS is disrupted while it is A
RMED, an ALARM
is T
RIGGERED once power is restored.
This panel houses the flashing LED that indicates the operating status of the security system. (In vehicles with an engine immobilizer system, that system’s LED and a separate microphone are used instead.)
