TECHNOLOGY & BENEFITS
VIDEO
>>
ColorStream Pro®Component Video Outputs - These outputs allow the video signal to be sent from the DVD player to a component video equipped interlaced or progressive scan TV. When this connection is utilized with today's HD-compatible sets, typical NTSC artifacts-like video noise, dot crawl, and flicker-are virtually eliminated, resulting in a low-noise, highly detailed picture with unequaled color purity.
>>
Digital Cinema Progressive (3/2 Pulldown) - Delivers the smoothest, most film-like images to any progressive scan television, such as an HD-compatible one, and ensures maximum resolution.
>>
JPEG Viewer - Enables the display of digital photographs captured in the JPEG format. Simply load the CD with your favorite photos and create custom slide shows with a few simple clicks of the player's remote control.
AUDIO
>>
WMA & MP3 Playback - Recordable Compact Discs (CD-R & CD-RW) with music stored in either the Windows Media™ Audio or MP3 file formats can be enjoyed.
>>
Coaxial Dolby®Digital and DTS®Surround Sound Output - Use the single RCA-type jack to send signature multi-channel audio to an audio/video receiver with a compatible input.
>>
Virtual Surround Sound - Provides a simulated surround sound effect when using two stereo speakers. Convenient when playing DVD films with home theaters not equipped with multi-channel playback compatibility.
CONVENIENCE
>>
Digital Picture Zoom - This interactive DVD feature allows you to select an area of the picture you want to zoom in on and magnify it.Enhanced digital processing during moving video or freeze-frame playback produces superior color fidelity and resolution, even when you’re zoomed in. Also can be used to expand letterbox-only films to increase the viewable area on-screen.
>>
Screen Saver - The player can be set to automatically go into a screen saver mode after several minutes of inactivity. While in this mode, the Toshiba DVD logo appears and “ping-pongs” across the screen. Many movies will display the main movie menu indefinitely after the movie has ended. If left onscreen for a prolonged period, burn-in on the TV screen may result without this feature.
