Quick Set-up Sheet for SD-37VBSB
Connect your DVD/VCR to your home's aerial and to your TV-set
as shown in the illustration.

When you have finished these connections you connect your DVD/VCR to the 230V/50Hz mains.

How to install the batteries
Use micro batteries type AAA.
Slide the battery

compartment cover
in the direction of
the arrow.
Install two "AAA"

batteries (supplied),
paying attention to
the polarity
diagram in the
battery compartment.
Replace the
compartment
cover.
Tuning the TV Stations and Setting
the Time and Date Automatically
Plug your DVD/VCR into the mains supply and it
will start to automatically tune itself in and set the
correct date and time.
Plug your DVD/VCR's plug into the mains

supply. "Auto" will start to flash in the display.
Your DVD/VCR will automatically tune itself in
and the correct time and date. (This may take
approx. 4 minutes.)

Press ON/STANDBY on the DVD/VCR to

switch off.
Note:
Your DVD/VCR will tune the TV stations as follows.
CH 1 BBC 1
CH 2 BBC 2
CH 3 ITV
CH 4 Channel 4
CH 5 Channel 5
CH 6 Satellite
CH 7 etc.

Tape playback operation
Preparation:
•Turn ON the TV and set to the AV input mode.
• Press VCR to select the VCR mode. (The VCR indicator will light.)
Load a prerecorded tape

(When loading a cassette tape
without the erase prevention
tab, playback will start automatically)
To start playback

Press PLAY.
Playback will start.

Press STOP.

Disc playback operation
To rewind the tape or forward it rapidly
Press DVD to select the DVD mode.

Press OPEN/CLOSE.

The disc tray will open.
Stop the playback or recording with STOP.
To rewind the tape:
Press REV.
To forward the tape:
Press FWD.
To stop the tape-winding, press STOP. To switch to
playback directly (without STOP), press PLAY.

Place a disc onto the tray.

Hold the disc, position it with the printed label side
up, align it with the guides, and place it in its proper
position.
Press PLAY or OPEN/CLOSE.

The disc tray closes automatically.
On the screen, changes to “Reading” and then
playback will commence.
•A menu screen may appear on the TV screen, if
the disc has a menu feature. In this case, press
, , , or ENTER to operate a menu
feature.
Press STOP to end playback.

Then press OPEN/CLOSE.

The disc tray opens.
Remove the disc and press POWER .
The disc tray closes automatically and DVD/VCR turns off.
