Before using the unit, please read this manual thoroughly and retain it for future reference.

1.To prevent electric shock, match wide blade of plug to wide slot, fully insert.
2.To reduce the risk of hazards, use only CSA/UL Certified power cord set. Cord is TypeSPT-2 or heavier, minimum NO.18 AWG copper, one end is provided with a moulded-on male attachment plug cap (with a specified NEMA configuration), and the other end is provided with a moulded-on female connector body (with a specified IEC non-industrial type configuration).

NOTICE FOR THE CUSTOMERS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM A moulded plug complying with BS 1363 is fitted to this equipment for your safety and convenience.
Should the fuse in the plug supplied need to be replaced, a 5 AMP fuse
approved by ASTA or BSI to BS 1362, (i.e., marked with
or mark) must
be used.
If the plug supplied with this equipment has a detachable fuse cover, be sure to attach the fuse cover after you change the fuse. Never use the plug without the fuse cover. If you should lose the fuse cover, please contact your nearest TOSHIBA TEC service representative.
Others
• The model name plate indicating the operating voltage, power consumption, etc. is located on the bottom of the unit.
• Unplug the unit from the wall outlet if it will not be used for an extended period of time. To disconnect the cord (mains lead), pull it out by the plug. Never pull the cord itself.
• Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord or if it has been dropped or damaged.
• Be sure that nothing metallic comes into contact with the metal parts of the unit or connecting plate. If it does, a short may occur and the unit may be damaged.
• Always keep the metal contacts clean.
• Do not disassemble or convert the unit.
• Do not apply mechanical shock or drop the unit.
• The unit may become warm whilst in use, this is perfectly normal.
• Keep the unit away from AM receivers, because it will disturb AM reception.
• Do not place the unit in a location where it is:
• Temperatures out of the specification
• Dusty or dirty
• Very humid
• Vibrating If any difficulty should arise, unplug the unit and contact your Authorised TOSHIBA TEC representative.

Before using this unit:
Please follow the instructions below to use the B-EP800-AC-QM-R correctly.
• The B-EP800-AC-QM-R is an AC adapter designed for charging the battery pack loaded in the B-EP2DL/B-EP4DL series portable printers, not for directly supplying the power to the B-EP2DL/B-EP4DL series portable printers.
This product and the AC adapter supplied with the B-EP800-CHG-QM-R Battery
Charger are the same product.
• DO NOT connect this AC adapter to any devices other than the B-EP2DL/B­EP4DL series portable printer. We assume no responsibility for any results arising from a connection to other devices.
• Before connecting this AC adapter to the printer, please make sure that the battery pack is in the printer. We are not responsible for any results due to a failure to do so.
Connecting the AC Adapter to the Printer
When charging the battery pack loaded in the B-EP2DL/B-EP4DL series portable printer, use the following procedure to connect the AC adapter to the printer. For how to check the charge status, please refer to the Owner’s Manual of the B­EP2DL/B-EP4DL series portable printer.
1. Make sure that the battery pack is in the printer.
2. Connect the AC adapter to the DCIN connector of the printer.
3. Connect the power cord to an AC outlet.
4. When the AC adapter is plugged in, the external power source symbol (
) is
displayed on the printer’s LCD, and charging starts. Whether the battery charge is required or not is automatically determined by the printer.
5. When the charging is completed, unplug the power cord from the AC outlet and
disconnect the AC adapter from the printer.
NOTE:
Charging time may differ depending on the condition of the battery pack or the operating temperature.

Troubleshooting
If you have any problems while using this product, please check the following point first. If a problem cannot be solved by taking actions described below, unplug the AC adapter and contact the dealer or an authorized TOSHIBA TEC service representative for assistance.
Symptom Cause and resolution
The power is not supplied even if the power cord is connected to an AC outlet.

The AC adapter is not connected to the printer completely. Firmly connect the AC adapter to the printer.
The power cord is not connected to the AC adapter completely. Firmly connect the power cord to the AC
adapter.
The power cord is not connected to the AC outlet completely. Firmly connect the power cord to the AC outlet.
A power failure Please wait until the power is recovered.
Power is not supplied to the AC outlet.
Test with other electric appliances. If the power is not
supplied to the AC outlet, please consult the nearest power company.
The fuse or breaker of the building has blown out. Check the fuse and the breaker.
The printer is not in stand-by.
The external power source symbol is not displayed while the
printer is not in the stand-by state.
The CHARGE lamp does not light up. The battery pack is not loaded in the printer.
Load a battery pack in the printer.
The battery pack loaded in the printer has been fully charged. A fully charged battery pack is not charged, so
the CHARGE lamp does not light up.
The ambient temperature or the battery pack temperature does
not fall within the operable temperature range.
Charge the battery pack within 0ºC to 40ºC. A
battery charge may not be started outside this range.

Power Cord Instruction
1. For use with 100 – 125 Vac mains power supply, please select a power cord rated Min. 125V, 10A.
2. For use with 200 – 240 Vac mains power supply, please select a power cord rated Min. 250V.
3. Please select a power cord with the length of 2m or less.
4. The power cord plug connected to the AC adapter must be able to be inserted to an ICE-320-C6 inlet. Refer to the following figure for the shape.
