2.Movethemotion-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition.

3.Engagetheparkingbrake.

4.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey .

1.Removethe3shoulderscrewsfromeachpod
andremovethepodsfrombothsidesofthe
machine(Figure2).

Removethefuel-tankcapbeforeremovingthe
leftpod(Figure2).

3.Removetheshoulderscrewandwasher
securingthetopofthedamper(Figure4).

4.Whileholdingthedamperstudinplaceusinga
wrench,removethelocknut(1/4inch)securing
thebottomofthedamper(Figure4).

2.Removethe2fuel-tankclipsfromtheunderside
ofthefueltankandrotatethefueltanktothe
side(Figure3).

5.Securethetopofthenewdamperusingthe
previouslyremovedshoulderscrewandwasher
(Figure4).

Startbyhand-tighteningtheshoulderbolt,then
torqueitto565to1130N∙cm(50to100in-lb).

6.Securethebottomofthenewdamperusingthe
previouslyremovedlocknut(1/4inch)asshown
inFigure4.

7.Rotatethefueltankbackintopositionand
secureitusingthepreviouslyremovedfuel-tank
clips(Figure3).
