2.Loosenthe4nutsontopoftherollerassemblyandaligntheholesintherollerassemblywiththeholesin
thestriper-mountbrackets(Figure5).
3.Whileholdingthepivottubeinplace,insertthepivotrodthroughthepivottube,springs,andstriper-mount
bracketsandsecureitwith2pivotwashersand2hairpincotters(Figure5).

TheLandscapeCanPromoteor
HinderStriping
•Themowingareasizehasaneffectonthenal
appearance.Largeareasmaylookbetterwhen
mowedwithalargemower.Smallareasmaynot
lookrightwhencutwithalargemower.
•Largeareaswithoccasionaltreesorother
obstructionsoftenlookbestwhenthemowing
patternappearstogothroughtheobstruction.
Forexample,itlooksbestforapatterntomatch
andcontinueonthefarsideofasmallpond.A
differentcross-cutpatternonthefarsideofapond
maynotbevisible.
•Someareaslookbestwithlong,straightlinesofa
striped-mowingpattern,alignedwiththeproperty
edge.Someareaslookbestwithadiamond
pattern,whereneitherstraightlineisaligned
withthepropertyedge.Propertieswithrolling
hillsidesorpondslookbestwithaowing-curves
stripingpattern.Y oucanhighlightandenhancea
distinctivefeaturelikeasmallpondbymowingin
aradialoraringpattern.

CuttingAreas
•Raisetherolleranddeck,anddrivealonga
previouspathtotransportfromoneareaofthe
propertytoanothersection.
•Donotdriveacrossastripedpattern.
BestMowingandStriping
Practices
•Itisusuallybesttorstmowtheperimeterto
establishaboundary .
•Whenside-discharging,directtheclippingsaway
fromwalks,drives,owerbeds,buildings,and
vehicles.Ifthedischargethrowsclippingsa
longdistance,mowadditionalpassestoavoid
unwantedcleanupofclippings.
•Avoiddrivingbackwardexcessively.Driving
backandforthorfrequentforwardandreverse
maneuversaroundanobstaclecompressesthe
grassanddisturbstheprofessionalappearance
ofanicejob.
•Avoidclosetrimmingwiththestripingkitinstalled
toreducedamagetolandscapingandtheroller.
•Followallsafemowingpracticesasdescribed
intheOperator’sManual.Donotletthestriping
patterncauseyoutomowinahazardousmanner.
