TOPCOM Talking Pedometer 100 - User Guide
1 Introduction
Thank you for purchasing our Talking Pedometer 100. While you are keeping your eyes on the road, this unique product tells you how many steps you have taken, how far you have walked or jogged, and how many calories you have burnt. Simply press a button and a clear voice tells you everything. The alarm clock can also help you to define your own workout time.
Please read through the instruction manual before using the pedometer.

3 Getting Started
There are 6 different modes : ‘Standard mode’, ‘Timermode’ and 4 ‘Set-up’­modes.
3.1 Standard mode:
The display shows by default the ‘Stepcounter’ and the ‘Current time’.
Press [UP] to switch between ‘Current Time’, ‘Distance Walked’ and ‘Calories Burned’
Press [TALK] . A Digital English Voice will report the information on the display.
To reset the step counter & calories burned, press [CLEAR] .
3.2 Timer mode:
Press [MODE] once to display the count up timer.
Press [UP] to start and press [UP] again to pause the timer.
Press [CLEAR] to reset the timer when stopped.
3.3 Time Set Mode:
Press [MODE] twice.
Press [UP] to increase the hour or press [Down] to increase the minutes.
Press hold [UP] or [DOWN] in order to increase the digits rapidly.
Press [CLEAR] to switch between 12 hr. or 24 hr. mode.
The unit returns to Standard mode automatically 1 minute after last key pressed.
3.4 Alarm Set Mode:
Press [MODE] button 3 times.
Press [UP] to increase the hour or press [DOWN] to increase the minutes.
Press hold [UP] or [DOWN] in order to increase the digits rapidly.
Press [CLEAR] to toggle on/off the alarm or to change the alarm sound. When the alarm is on, the icon [ ] will be displayed on the screen.
The unit returns to Standard mode automatically 1 minute after last key pressed.
3.5 Step Size Mode:
Press [MODE] button 4 times.
Press [UP] to increase or press [Down] to decrease the step length by 5cm.
Press hold the [UP] or [DOWN] button in order to increase or decrease the step length rapidly.
The valid range of step length is between 5 and 200cm.
The unit returns to Standard mode automatically 1 minute after last key pressed.
Note: An individual's stride may vary in length. Input the appropriate length by for example measuring the distance of 10 steps and average them by dividing by 10 to get your own step length.

3.6 Body Weight Mode:
Press [MODE] button 4 times. Default body weight is 60kg.
Press [TALK] to report the current body weight.
Press [UP] to increase or press [DOWN] to decrease the body weight by 0.5kg (between 10 to 200kg).
Press hold the [UP] or [DOWN] button in order to increase or decrease the body weight rapidly.
4 Using the Talking Pedometer 100
4.1 Position the unit correctly
Clip the pedometer on your belt, slacks, or training attire. Maintain a vertical position otherwise incorrect readings may be occurred. On every step you take, the stepcounter will be increased by one.
4.2 Music Mode
Press [Down] to play/stop music while walking. The rhythm of the song will play differently depends on the jogging speed. The faster the user walk, the faster the song plays.
Press [TALK] to report current display and the music will automatically switch to next one.
Press [CLEAR] to reset the count of steps, distance & burnt calories to zero and the music will automatically switch to next one.
Press [UP] to switch between current time, distance walked and burnt calories and the music will automatically switch to next one.
5 Battery installation
1. Remove the screw on the right
side of the belt clip.
2. Open the door by turning counter-
clockwise.
3. Insert 1 piece CR2032.
4. Slide the rib into the slot next to
the battery
5. Close the batter door by turning
clockwise.
6. Fix the screw into position.
6 Disposal of the device (environment)
At the end of the product lifecycle, you should not throw this product into the normal household garbage but bring the product to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipments. The symbol on the product, user guide and/or box
Some of the product materials can be re-used if you bring them to a recycling point. By re-using some parts or raw materials from used products you make an important contribution to the protection of the environment.Please contact your local authorities in case you need more information on the collection points in your area.
