2. Allgemeines

Diese Betriebsanleitung soll das Kennen lernen der Geräte und den bestimmungsgemäßen Einsatz erleichtern. Die Betriebsanleitung enthält wichtige Hinweise wie die Geräte sicher, sachgerecht und wirtschaftlich einzusetzen sind. Das Einhalten der Hinweise hilft Gefahren vermeiden, Reparaturen und Ausfallzeiten vermindern sowie die Zuverlässigkeit und Lebensdauer der Geräte zu erhöhen.

Die Betriebsanleitung muss am Einsatzort der Geräte verfügbar sein. Sie ist von allen Personen zu lesen und anzuwenden, die mit den Geräten arbeiten. Zu diesen Arbeiten zählen insbesondere die Bedienung, die Störungsbehebung und die Wartung.

Neben der Betriebsanleitung und den im Verwender Land und an der Einsatzstelle geltenden Regelungen zur Unfallverhütung sind auch die anerkannten fachtechnischen Regeln für sicherheits- und fachgerechtes arbeiten zu beachten.

4. Sicherheitsvorschriften

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung

Diese Geräte sind zum Umreifen von Paketen, und palettierten Ladungen bestimmt. Die Geräte wurden für eine sichere Bedienung während des Umreifens entwickelt und

gebaut. Die Geräte sind für das Umreifen mit Verpackungsstahlbändern bestimmt.

Möglicher Missbrauch

Das Umreifen mit Kunststoffband ist mit diesen Geräten nicht möglich.

Umreifungsbänder sind nicht als Lasthebemittel einzusetzen, dieses Umreifungsgerät darf ausschließlich für die vorgenannte Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung benutzt werden.

Gewährleistung und Haftung Die TITAN Umreifungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG gewährt auf alle von Ihr verkauften

Umreifungsgeräte eine Garantie für die Dauer von 6 Monaten. Die Garantie umfasst alle Mängel die nachweisbar auf mangelnde Fertigung oder Materialfehler zurückzuführen sind.

Verschleißteile sind von der Garantie ausgeschlossen

Gewährleistung- und Haftungsansprüche sind ausgeschlossen, wenn sie auf eine oder mehrere der folgenden Ursachen zurückzuführen sind:

Nicht bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung des Gerätes. Unsachgemäßes Montieren, Inbetriebnahmen, Bedienen und Warten des Gerätes. Betreiben des Gerätes bei nicht ordnungsgemäßen Sicherheits- und

Die Nichtbeachtung nachstehender Sicherheitsbestimmungen, sowie Fehler in der Handhabung des Gerätes können schwerwiegende Verletzungen zur Folge haben.

Informieren Sie sich!

Vor dem Gebrauch des Gerätes die Betriebsanleitung sorgfältig lesen.

Schützen Sie sich!

Beim arbeiten Augen-, Gesichts- und Handschutz (schnittfeste Handschuhe) tragen.

Achtung! Band springt auf!

Beim Durchschneiden des Bandes den oberen Teil festhalten und abseits stehen.

Achtung! Der untere Bandteil wird aufspringen.

Achtung! Band kann reißen!

Beim Spannen kann das Band reißen! Nicht in der Flucht des Bandes stehen. Achten Sie darauf, dass sich keine weitere Person im Arbeitsbereich aufhält.

Vorsicht! Quetschgefahr!

Mit den Fingern nicht in den Spannrad-Bereich greifen.

Vorsicht! Nur Packgut Umreifen!

Während des Umreifens dürfen sich keine Hände und andere Körperteile zwischen Band und Packgut befinden.

Verwenden Sie nur Original-TITAN-Ersatzteile! Die Verwendung von anderen als TITAN-Ersatzteilen schließt Garantieleistungen und Haftpflicht aus.

Verwenden Sie nur einen Federzug, der den Sicherheitsbestimmungen entspricht!

Verwenden Sie nur Original TITAN Verschlusshülsen!

Luftdruck nicht überschreiten!

Den vorgeschriebenen max. Luftdruck von 6 bar nicht überschreiten.

Original Anschlusskupplung verwenden.

Es dürfen nur Anschlusskupplungen verwendet werden, die den Sicherheitsvorschriften entsprechen.

Keine Gas- oder Druckluftflaschen verwenden! Das Gerät darf nicht an eine Gas- oder Druckluftflasche angeschlossen werden.

Der Einsatz eines nicht empfohlenen Bandes kann zu Bandreißern während des Spannvorganges und zu schlechten Verschlussqualitäten führen. Verwenden Sie nur die entsprechenden TITAN-Qualitäts Produkte!

Dieses Gerät darf nur von Personal bedient werden, das in der Handhabung unterwiesen wurde. Sprechen Sie den

TITAN-Verpackungsberater an, wenn Sie hierzu Fragen haben.

Arbeitsplatz

Halten Sie Ihren Arbeitsbereich in Ordnung. Unordnung im Arbeitsbereich ergibt Unfallgefahr. Achten Sie beim Umreifen auf einen sicheren Stand und ein einwandfreies Gleichgewicht um einer Sturzgefahr vorzubeugen. Verwenden Sie das Gerät nie in einer ungünstigen Arbeitsposition!

Gerätewartung

Nur ein sich in einwandfreiem Zustand befindliches Gerät ist ein sicheres Gerät. Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig den Zustand Ihres Gerätes auf defekte oder abgenutzte Teile. Arbeiten Sie nie mit einem Gerät, das defekte oder abgenutzte Teile aufweist. Änderungen an Geräten sind strikt untersagt. Die Nichtbeachtung dieser Vorschrift kann zu schwerwiegenden Verletzungen führen.

5. Inbetriebnahme

5.1 Luftanschluß

Der Luftanschluss sollte vom Einsatzort des Umreifungsgerätes nicht weiter als 5 m

entfernt sein.

Auf keinen Fall darf das Handgerät ohne Öl im Öler betrieben werden, da dieses eine unmittelbare Zerstörung des Druckluftmotors zur Folge hat!

Garantieleistungen sind in diesem Fall ausgeschlossen!

Es empfiehlt sich die Wartungseinheit der Fa. TITAN mit 2 Luftausgängen zu

verwenden.

5.2 Überprüfung der Maschinen und Werkzeuge vor Inbetriebnahme

Vor jedem neuen Einsatz sind die Geräte und deren Anbauteile auf Beschädigungen

und Vollständigkeit hin zu überprüfen. Schläuche- Luftversorgung auf festen Sitz. Bei

Reparatur und Ersatz sind nur Original TITAN Ersatzteile zu verwenden. (Siehe auch

unter Punkt 3)

5.3 Inbetriebnahme

Handgeräte PR 33 und DPZ-L an das Druckluftnetz anschließen.

(max. Luftdruck 6 bar).

Motor und Druckluftzylinder werden durch den Ölnebel der Druckluft geschmiert.

Eine einwandfrei aufbereitete Druckluft ist daher Voraussetzung für einen

störungsfreien Betrieb der Geräte. Dieses kann nur durch eine funktionssichere 3/8“

Wartungseinheit erfüllt werden, die aus Wasserabscheider, Druckminderventil mit

Manometer und Öler besteht.

Der Öler soll genügend Öl abgeben ca. 1 Tropfen pro Umreifung. Die Schlauchlänge

sollte 5 m nicht überschreiten, der Schlauchinnendurchmesser mindestens 8mm

haben.

Es sollte darauf geachtet werden, dass der Schlauch keine Schlaufen bildet, in denen

sich Öl sammeln kann.

Wahl des Schmieröles: Harz- und säurefreies Schmieröl mit einer

Viskosität von 2-4° E bei 50°.

max. Betriebsdruck 6 bar.

Achtung Gefahr von Bandreißern! Das Band kann reißen wenn der Betriebsdruck von 6 bar überschritten wird. Bandreißer können zu Verletzungen des Bedieners führen.

6. Bedienung

Stahlband aus dem Abroller durch die Verschlusshülse ziehen und um das Packstück legen. Bandanfang nochmals durch die Verschlusshülse schieben und umbiegen.

Spanner (PR 33) in die rechte Hand nehmen und durch Herunterdrücken des Hebels öffnen. Dann von rechts nach links gemäß Abb. auf das Stahlband schieben. Hebel loslassen und durch links drehen am Drehventil das Stahlband spannen. Die gewünschte Bandspannung wird durch Regulierung des Luftdruckes am Manometer der Wartungseinheit erreicht (max. 6 bar).

Pneumatische Verschlusszange (DPZ-L) auf die Verschlusshülse aufsetzen (wie in Abbildung gezeigt) und durch Betätigung des Verschlusshebels den Verschluss-vorgang starten. Der Verschlusshebel rastet hierbei automatisch ein. Die Freigabe erfolgt selbstständig nach der vollständigen Einkerbung der Hülse und des Stahlbandes. Ein Abbruch des Verschlussvorganges ist jeder Zeit durch betätigen der Stoptaste möglich. Während des Verschließvorgangs darf die Luftzufuhr am Spanner nicht abgestellt werden. (Spanner hat keine Selbsthemmung).

Nach Fertigstellung des Verschlusses, Verschließer ablegen und den Spanner wie in Abbildung gezeigt nach oben kippen, bis das Stahlband vor der Verschlusshülse abbricht. Auch hierbei ist die Luftzufuhr nicht abzustellen. Danach Luftzufuhr abdrehen und den Spanner durch drücken des Hebels wieder vom Stahlband trennen.

7. Wartung

7.1 Wechsel des Spannrades

Lösen der 3 Befestigungsschrauben (10)

und entfernen des Lagerschildes (9). Das

Spannrad (42/55) liegt frei und kann von

der Transportwelle abgezogen werden.

Einbau in umgekehrter Reihenfolge.

7.2 Abstand einstellen

Nach Einbau des neuen Spannrades

(42/55) ist der Abstand zwischen Rad

und Gleitplatte (40) zu prüfen und

gegebenenfalls einzustellen. Die

Einstellung erfolgt an der

Einstellschraube (38). Dazu ist die

Kontermutter (39) lösen. Der Abstand

zwischen Spannrad und Gleitplatte

sollte 0,2mm betragen.

7.3 Reinigung und Wartung

Schmutz und Abrieb beeinträchtigen die Funktion der Geräte. Deshalb sollten alle

Geräte nach ihrem Gebrauch im Bereich der Bandführung, Einkerbmesser,

Spannrades und Gelenken mit Pressluft ausgeblasen und anschließend mit

Harzfreiem dünnen Sprühöl benetzt werden.

Werkzeuginspektion!

Untersuchen Sie täglich visuell das Äußere des Gerätes. Frühzeitiges Erkennen von

beschädigten Teilen verlängert die Lebensdauer des Gerätes. Ersetzen Sie alle

beschädigten Teile sofort durch Original-TITAN-Ersatzteile.

2. General

These operating instructions are meant to facilitate becoming familiar with the units and their intended use. These operating instructions include important notes on how the units can be exploited safely, in a technically competent way and economically. Meeting instructions helps avoid risks, reduce repairs and downtimes and increases the reliability and life of the units.

These operating instructions must be available at the location of the units. They must be read and used by all persons working with the units. Those works especially include operation, troubleshooting and maintenance.

Apart from the operating instructions and the regulations for the prevention of accidents applicable in the user’s country and at the place of location the acknowledged rules for safety-related and technically competent working have to be observed.

Explanatory notes on the warning and instruction symbols:

Is used in case of risks of life and health.

Attention!

Is used in case of risks which might cause damage to objects.

Note!

Is used for general notes as well as such whose disregard might occur in the operational process.

4. Safety Regulations

Intended Use

This device is intended for strapping round packages (profile bundles, pipes, coils, etc.). The device was designed and built for safe operation during strapping. The device is intended for strapping with steel packaging straps.

Possible misuse

The use of plastic straps is not allowed with this device.

Applied standards and specifications:

Warranty and liability TITAN Umreifungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG guarantees all strapping tools sold by the

company for a period of 6 months. The warranty covers all defects that can be demonstrated to result from faulty craftsmanship or defective materials.

Wear parts are excluded from the warranty.

Warranty and liability claims shall be excluded if they are due to one or more of the following causes:

Misuse of the tool. Incorrect assembly, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the tool. Operation of the tool with improper safety and protective devices. Failure to comply with the information in the operating manual. Unauthorized structural modifications to the tool. Insufficient monitoring of tool parts that are subject to wear. Improper repairs.

The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes to the scope of delivery at any time for the purpose of improving the product.

Failure to comply with the following safety instructions, in addition to errors in handling the device, can result in serious injuries.

Be informed!

Read the operating manual carefully before using the device

Protect yourself!

Always wear eye, face and hand protection (cut-resistant gloves) when working.

Attention! Strap flies outward!

When cutting the strap, hold the top part firmly and stand to the side. Attention! The lower part of the strap will fly outward.

Attention! Strap can break!

The strap can break during tightening! Do not stand in the path of the strap. Make sure that no one else is in the working area.

Caution! Danger of crushing!

Do not insert fingers into the pulley area.

Caution! Strap only objects to be packed!

Make sure that no hands or other body parts are between the strap and the goods to be packaged.

Use only original TITAN replacement parts! The use of parts other than original TITAN replacement parts will void the warranty and all liability.

Use only lifting gear that complies with the safety regulations!

Use only original TITAN closure sleeves!

Do not exceed air pressure!

Never exceed the max. permissible air pressure of 6 bar.

Use original connection coupling.

Use only connection couplings that comply with the safety regulations.

Do not use gas or compressed air cylinders! Do not connect the tool to a gas or compressed air cylinder.

The use of straps other than those recommended can result in broken straps during the tightening process and insufficient strapping. Use only corresponding quality products from

TITAN!

This device may be operated only by personnel who have been trained accordingly. Please consult your TITAN packing

consultant if you have any questions about this.

Workplace

Always maintain an orderly workplace. A disorderly workplace can cause accidents. When operating the crimper, make sure that you are in a well-braced position in order to maintain optimum balance and prevent the risk of falling. Never operate the tool in an awkward working position!

Maintenance

In order to operate safely, the tool must be properly maintained. Check the condition of your tool regularly for defects or worn parts. Never use a tool that has defects or worn parts. Modifications to the tool are strictly prohibited. Failure to comply with this regulation can result in serious injury.

5. Description of funvtions

5.1. Compressed air port

The maximum distance between the compressed air port and the location of the strapping unit should not exceed 5 m.

In no case it is allowed to run the tool without oil being in the lubricator of the maintenance unit, as this would immediately destroy the compressed air motor.

No warranty in this case!

It is recommended that the maintenance unit comprising 2 air outputs and made by the

TITAN company is used.

5.2. Checking machines and tools before commissioning

Before any new application it is required that the units and their attachments are checked for damage and completeness. Hoses – air supply for firm seat. Exclusively use original TITAN spare parts (also see section 3).

5.3. Commissioning

Connect hand-held units PR 33 and DPZ-L to the compressed air network (max. air pressure 6 bar).

Motor and compressed air cylinders are lubricated by the oil mist of the compressed air. Faultlessly prepared compressed air is therefore a prerequisite for a problem-free operation of the units. This can only be met by a functionally safe 3/8“ maintenance unit comprising water separator, pressure reducing valve including pressure gauge and oiler.

The oiler must discharge sufficient oil, approx. 1 drop per strapping. The length of the hose should not exceed 5 m. The inner diameter of the hose should as a minimum be 8 mm. Attention should be paid that the hose does not form loops in which oil could be collected.

Choice of the lubricating oil: resin- and acid-free lubricating oil whose viscosity is 2-4° E at 50°.

Max. operating pressure 6 bar.

Attention! Risk of tearing strap! The strap can tear when the operating pressure of 6.5 bar is exceeded. Tearing strap can result in injuries to the operator.

6. Operating

Pull steel strap out of the dispenser through the sealing sleeve and put it around the packing item. Again slip the beginning of the strap through the sealing sleeve and bend it.

Take the jack (PR 33) in your right hand and open it by pressing the lever. Then slip it on the steel strap from the right to the left acc. to the photo. Release the lever and tension the steel strap by turning the turning valve to the left. The tension of the strap desired (max. 6 bar) is achieved by the control of the air pressure on the pressure gauge of the maintenance unit.

Position the pneumatic sealing tongs (DPZ-L) on the sealing sleeve (as shown in the photo) and notch the sealing sleeve by the actuation of the joining lever. At the same time the joining lever snaps in automatically. Releasing is done automatically after the notching of the seal and of the steel strap have been completed. Interruption of the joining process is possible at any time by pushing the STOP key. During the sealing operation the air feed at the tensioning jack must not be stopped (tensioning jack is without self-locking device).

Upon completion of the seal deposit the locking device and tilt the jack, as shown in the photo, upwards until the steel strap breaks before the sealing sleeve. Again, the air supply must not be stopped. Then, turn off the air feed and separate the tension jack from the steel strap again by pressing the lever.

for crackings on the sleeve and for neat cutting edges.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Change of the tensioning wheel

Loosen the 3 fastening screws (10) and remove the bearing plate (9). The tensioning wheel (42/55) can be accessed and removed from the transport shaft. Mounting in reverse order.

7.2. Setting the clearance

After the installation of the new tensioning wheel (42/55) the clearance between wheel and guide plate (40) must be checked and, if required, readjusted. Setting is performed by means of the setting screw (38). For that purpose, loosen the counternut (39). The clearance between the tensioning wheel and the guide plate should be 0,2 mm.

7.3. Cleaning and maintenance

Dirt and abrasion impair the function of the units. Therefore, all units should be air-cleaned with compressed air in the area of the strap guidance, notching cutters, tensioning wheel and joints after being used und, following that, be wetted with resin-free thin spray oil.

Tool inspection!

Perform a daily visual inspection of the outside of the unit. The early detection of damaged parts extends the life of the unit. Replace all damaged parts immediately with Original TITAN spare parts.

N'utilisez que les douilles de fermeture originales TITAN!

Ne pas dépasser la pression d'air!

Ne pas dépasser la pression d'air maximale prescrite de 6 bars.

Utiliser l'accouplement de raccordement original.

Il est possible d'utiliser uniquement les accouplements de raccordement qui correspondent aux prescriptions de sécurité.

N'utiliser pas de bouteilles à gaz ou des bouteilles à air comprimé! L'appareil ne doit être jamais raccordé à une bouteille à gaz ou à air comprimé.

L'utilisation d'une bande non recommandée peut entraîner des déchirures de bande au cours du processus de tension et aux mauvaises qualités de fermeture. Utilisez uniquement les produits correspondants avec qualité de

Cet appareil ne peut être utilisé que par le personnel qui a été instruit dans la manipulation. Adressez la parole au conseiller d'emballage en TITAN, lorsque vous avez des questions à ce sujet.

Lieu de travail

Tenez en ordre votre zone de travail. Le désordre dans la zone de travail engendre le risque d'accident. Pendant le cerclage, prêtez attention à une position sûre ainsi qu'à un équilibre impeccable pour éviter un risque de chute. N'utilisez jamais l'appareil dans une position de travail défavorable!

Maintenance de l'appareil

Seulement un appareil qui se trouve dans un état impeccable est un appareil sûr. Contrôlez régulièrement l'état de votre appareil en ce qui concerne les pièces défectueuses ou usées. Ne travaillez jamais avec un appareil qui présente des pièces défectueuses ou usées. Les changements sur les appareils sont strictement interdits. La non-observation de cette prescription peut entraîner de graves blessures.

5. Mise en service

5.1. Branchement d’air

Le branchement d’air ne devra pas se trouver à une distance supérieure à 5 m du lieu d’utilisation du dispositif de cerclage.

L’appareil ne peut jamais être utilisé sans huile dans le

graisseur. Le moteur pneumatique sera dédommagé irréparablement.

Dans ce cas pas de garantie

Nous conseillons l'emploi du dispositif d'entretien à deux sorties d’air de la société

TITAN.

5.2. Vérification avant mise en service

Vérifier les dispositifs et leurs équipements avant chaque nouvelle utilisation quant à leur intégralité et endommagements éventuels. Vérifier la fixation des tuyaux et

alimentations en air. N’utilisez que des pièces de rechange originales TITAN en cas de

réparation ou remplacement de pièces. (Voir également point 3)

5.3. Mise en service

Raccorder les commandes portatives PR 33 et DPZ-L au réseau pneumatique.

(Pression d’air 6 bar au max.). Le brouillard d’huile de l’air comprimé lubrifie le moteur et le cylindre à air comprimé.

L'air comprimé parfaitement traité est la condition au bon fonctionnement des

dispositifs Ceci ne peut être assuré que par un dispositif d’entretien 3/8“ comportant un séparateur d’eau, une soupape réductrice à manomètre et un lubrificateur.

Le lubrificateur devra dégager env. 1 goutte d'huile par cerclage. La longueur du tuyau ne devra pas dépasser 5 m. Le diamètre intérieur des tuyaux ne devra pas dépasser 8 mm. Veiller à ce que le tuyau ne forme pas de boucles permettant des accumulations d’huile.

Choix du lubrifiant: Huile de graissage exempte de résines et d’acides ayant une viscosité de 2-4° E à 50°.

Au maximum 6 bar de pression de service.

Attention! Aux ruptures de feuillards! Le feuillard peut se rompre quand la pression de service dépasse de 6 bar. Les ruptures de feuillards peuvent blesser l'opérateur.

6. Manuel d’ instruction

Dérouler le feuillard de la bobine, l’introduire

dans la chape et encercler le paquet avec ce feuillard. Introduire le début du feuillard une seconde fois dans la chape et le plier.

Prendre le tendeur (PR 33) dans la main droite et l’ouvrir en abaissant le levier. Le glisser ensuite sur le feuillard en acier, de la droite vers la gauche (voir fig.).Lâcher le levier et tendre le feuillard en acier en tournant la valve rotative vers la gauche. La tension souhaitée peut être obtenue en réglant la pression d'air au manomètre du dispositif d'entretien (6,5 bar max.).

Placer la pince de fermeture pneumatique (DPZ-L) sur la chape (voir fig.) et poinçonner la chape en actionnant le levier de fermeture. Le levier de sertissage encliquète automatiquement en même temps. La libération suivra automatiquement après

l’encochement de la chape et du feuillard aient été terminés. L’interruption du

processus de cerclage est possible à tout

moment par l’actionnement de la touche d’arrêt.

L’alimentation en air ne peut être mise à

l'arrêt pendant le procédé de fermeture. (Le tendeur ne dispose pas de blocage automatique)

Après achèvement de la fermeture, déposer le fermoir et basculer le tendeur vers le haut, voir fig, jusqu’à la rupture du feuillard juste avant la chape.

Ici aussi, l’alimentation en air ne peut être mise à l’arrêt. Couper ensuite l’alimentation en air et

séparer à nouveau le tendeur du feuillard en poussant sur le levier.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Remplacement de la roue de

Desserrer les 3 vis de fixation (10) et détacher le flasque palier (9). La roue de tension (42/55) est accessible et peut être enlevée par l'arbre transporteur. Le montage sera effectué en sens inverse.

7.2. Réglage écart roue de tension–plaque de glissement

Vérifier et régler le cas échéant la distance entre roue (42/55) et plaque de glissement (40) après avoir monté la nouvelle roue de tension.

Le réglage s’effectuera par

intermédiaire de la vis de réglage (38). Pour ce faire, desserrer le contre-écrou (39). La distance entre roue de tension et plaque de glissement devra être de

0,2 mm.

7.3. Nettoyage et entretien de

Les salissures et l’abrasion entravent la fonction des dispositifs. En raison de cela, tous les dispositifs devront être nettoyés à l’air comprimé et subir ensuite un traitement de pulvérisation d’huile exempte de résine.

Inspection de l’appareil! Chaque jour, effectuez un contrôle visuel de l’extérieur de l’appareil. La détection

précoce des pièces endommagées prolonge la durée de vie de l’appareil. Remplacez, de ce pas, toutes les pièces endommagées par des pièces de rechange d´origine TITAN.
