Troubleshooting
If the clock does not run, momentarily remove then reinstall the battery.
If the clock still does not run, check the battery. It is most likely weak and needs to be replaced with a new battery. We recommend alkaline batteries.
If the clock still does not work after changing the battery, make sure you have installed it properly, with the correct polarity placement.
If problems persist, do not attempt to repair the clock yourself. See the warranty for factory service information.
Timex Audio Products, a division of SDI Technologies Inc. (hereafter referred to as SDI Technologies), warrants this product to be free from defects in workmanship and materials, under normal use and conditions, for a period of 90 days from the date of original purchase.
Should this product fail to function in a satisfactory manner, it is best to first return it to the store where it was originally purchased. still be required by reason of any defect or malfunction during the warranty period, discretion, replace this product without charge (except for a $3.00 charge for handling, packing, return UPS/postage, and insurance). This will help you explain the safe and proper way to use this product, and to help give it the long-lasting life that TIMEX branded products have been designed for.
Please keep these instructions for future reference as they contain important information.
Installing the Battery
Setting and Using the Alarm Clock
The battery should only be installed by an adult.
The battery compartment is located on the
back of the clock. With your thumb pressed on the arrow, slide the compartment door down off of the clock.
Install one “AA” battery into the compartment,
making sure that the + and – polarities match the diagram printed inside the compartment.
Slide the compartment door back onto the
clock, making sure that the door clicks shut.
For the Best Possible Performance:
•We recommend the use of alkaline batteries for longer life.
Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.
Only batteries of the same or equivalent type a recommended are to be used.
Batteries are to be inserted with correct polarity.
Remove exhausted batteries from the clock.
•Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable battery.
Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the clock before being charged.
The supply terminals are not to be short­circuited.
Battery should be removed if the item is not going to be needed for an extended period of time (approximately 30 days or more) to preven leakage or damage to the clock.

Setting the Clock Time – The TIMEX Kids Alarm Clock should begin running as soon as the battery is installed. If the second hand is not moving, make sure that the battery has been installed correctly.
To set the clock time, turn the Clock Set Thumbwheel until the hour and minute hands show the current time.
Setting and Using the Alarm – This clock features a single alarm with an On/Off switch. To set the alarm time, turn the Alarm Set Thumbwheel until the Alarm Hand shows the desired alarm wake time. To turn on the alarm, slide the Alarm On/Off Switch to the “On” position.
When the alarm sounds, you can either slide the Alarm On/Off Switch to the “Off” position to shut the alarm, or press the Backlight/ Snooze Bar to snooze for approximately six minutes. You can continue snoozing for around 45 minutes.
As long as the Alarm On/Off Switch is set to the “On” position, the alarm will sound at the time indicated by the Alarm Hand.
Note: Please be aware that as this is an analog clock, an alarm set to a time will sound at both the AM and PM occurrences of that time.
