TPS2000 BNC
Removal and Replacement Procedure
NOTE. This procedure is to be performed by a
qualified service person.
BNC Removal
1. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pop off the plastic
BNC cover from the front of the TPS2000
oscilloscope.
2. Use a 0.625” (16 mm) Hex socket, with a thin wall to
loosen and remove the BNC nut (Tektronix part
number 220-0265-xx).
3. Pinch and pull off the plastic BNC shell from the
channel connector. If needed, use a flat-blade
screwdriver to gently pry off the shell.

BNC Replacement
1. Remove from BNC kit number 050-3598-00
H a nut, Tektronix part number 220-0265-xx
H a BNC shell, Tektronix part number 131-7528-xx
2. Install the BNC shell onto the channel desired.
3. Hand start the nut onto the BNC shell desired and
make sure that it seats properly. Be careful not to
cross-tread the nut.
4. Torque down the nut using a 12 inch-lb (1.35 N-M)
driver and a 0.625” (16 mm) Hex socket, with a thin
wall.
CAUTION. Do not overtighten the nut. Doing so
can damage the nut or BNC shell.
5. Push the BNC cover back on.
