TimeView™ Installation
System Requirements
The TimeView Modulation Domain Analysis Software installation requires a PC running Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, or Vista, and at least 70 MB of free hard disk drive space.
Installing the Software
Install TimeView Software
1. To install TimeView from a downloaded le, navigate to and double-click the TimeView le that you downloaded from the
Web. Then go to step 4.
2. Select your language.
3. Click TimeView™ Modulation Domain Analyzer Software and Documentation and select Software installation.
4. One or more security w arning dialog boxes may appear. Click Run in both dialog boxes.
5. Click Next to start the TimeView install. Follow on-screen instructions to accept the product agreement and enter y our
customer information.
6. Click Next to install the software in the default location (recommended).
7. In the Setup Type window, verify that TimeView and National Instruments VISA Runtime is selected and click Next.
NOTE. National Instruments VISA Runtime is required even if you already have USB drivers installed.
8. Click Install if everything is correct in the Ready to Install the Program window.
9. Click Finish to complete the TimeView application install and automatically start the NI-VISA Runtime installation program
(described in the next section).
The TimeView software installation is complete. Continue with the NI-VISA driver installation on the next page.

Install NI-VIS
NOTE.
You can delete the installation image to recover disk space after the installation is nished. If disk space is not critical, you should not delete this installation image le in case you need to modify or repair the NI-VISA installation.

A Runtime Drivers
The NI-VISA install program creates an installation image on your hard drive from which it launches the install program.

To change the folder to which to extract the install les, click Browse.
(GPIB, USB, Ethernet, and so on).
You can also use this dialog box to change the location at which to install the NI-VISA drivers.
Click Next to accept the settings and continue the install.
VISA DLL will be renamed to a specied name. Click Next to rename the existing VISA DLL to your specied name, or click Save File to save the existing VISA le to the name and location that you specify, and then click Next.
If the NI-VISA software is already installed, the Start Installation dialog box shows a message that no software will be installed or removed. Click Cancel, and click Yes to conrm the cancel.
The NI-VISA installation is complete.
