Dear PolyTune2 customer,
welcome to the new PolyTune 2.6 firmware update.
Version 2.6 contains the following change:
-improved bootup procedure (we have seen some rare cases where some PT 2s would not bootup
everytime the footswitch is pressed)
This document describes how to update your Polytune2 on a PC computer running windows
(XP, Vista, Win7 and Win 8)
1. Download the latest PolyTune software update from the Tc electronic website and save it on your
desktop
2. Make sure that the Polytune pedal is not connected to the computer yet.
3. Before updating PolyTune we need to get it into boot mode first:
-Insert a mono jack plug into Polytune’s input jack
-Insert a USB cable into the PC and connect it to your Polytune
-Now press and hold the footswitch while inserting the power supply/ DC stick.
(the display will go blank after a couple of seconds and the switch has no effect anymore, indicating
that Polytune is in boot mode and ready to receive the update)
4. double click the “PolytuneII_SoftwareUpdater-2.6.00-R992.exe” file to open the SW updater
5. Select “polytune2 Boot” in the output device menu. Now click on the “update” button to start the
software upload and wait until the bar reaches 100%
Troubleshooting – Software update application.
If you see the message below when clicking on the update button, close the software update application
and restart the software update procedure from step number 2.
