PRODUCT OVERVIEW

TASCAM's CD-D1x4 is a simple CD duplicator,
capable of making 4 copies of a single master at
16x speed. If a larger duplication system is
desired, two CD-D1x4s can be linked, offering the
ability to make up to 8 copies of a single master at
16x speed.

The CD-ROM and CD-RW drives are all rugged
TEAC mechanisms, offering exceptionally long life
and compatibility with most any media including
CD-R, CD-RW, and high-speed CD-RW discs.

The CD-D1x4 also has a number of utility functions
that come in handy in mass duplication facilities
like automatic verify after copy and CD-RW
erasing.

CDs in about 5 minutes. Plus, the rack case provides a

ARCHITECT'S SPECIFICATIONS

The CD duplicator shall be capable of making 4 duplicates
simultaneously from a single master CD at 16x speed. It
shall offer a cascade function allowing two duplicators of
the same model to be linked, providing for a combined 8
duplicates simultaneously of a single master at 16x
speed. The cascade cable shall be a standard accessory
with the duplicator.

The CD duplicator will have a chassis design that provides
for mounting in 4-U of a standard 19" rack mount.
Dimensions shall be 19" x 7" x 15.1" (W x H x D).

Metric measurements: 482x177x385mm.

The CD duplicator shall be capable of reading from Audio
CDs, CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW and High Speed CD-RW
media. Duplication to these recordable media shall be

capable at 16x, 8x, and 4x speeds on CD-R, 4x speed on
CD-RW, and 10x and 4x speeds on High Speed CD-RW.
The duplicator shall be capable of using both Consumer
"For Audio Only" discs, as well as Professional "data"
discs.

The CD duplicator shall provide several functional modes
for duplication, disc manipulation and verification. These
modes shall provide for simulation of copying discs,
copying discs, copying discs with automatic verification,
analyzing the master disc, audio track extraction, erasing
CD-RW discs, and playing audio CDs.

The CD duplicator shall be a TASCAM CD-D1x4.
