Explanation of terminology
This equipment and the attached instruction manual use expressions including the terminology used in NAWI Directive (90/384/EEC). Read the following explanation of terminology before use.
• Max (Maximum capacity)
This shows the maximum weight that can be measured by the scale.
[Example]
In the case of Maximum capacity 300kg, it can measure up to 300 kg. * One exceeding the weighing capacity cannot be measured.
•e (Minimum Graduation)
This shows the amount of one scale mark. In the case of a digital display, this shows the interval of the numeric value to change.
[Example]
In the case of Minimum Graduation 0.1 kg, the display increases and decreases at an interval of
0.1 kg.
• Extend Minimum Graduation
This is the amount of the scale mark that can display more finely than the Minimum Graduation. The display range is up to 1/10 of Minimum Graduation (this cannot be used for actions of transaction certification).
• Tare
The container, bag, wrapping paper, etc., used when measuring weight is called “tare”. And to measure the net-weight after subtracting the weight of the tare is called "tare weighing." Moreover, to measure the net-weight after subtracting the weight that is known beforehand without measuring the weight of the tare at the time of the measurement is called “preset tare”.
BMI
This is an abbreviation of Body Mass Index, and is calculated by . “22” is said to produce fewer illnesses.
