Synology® DiskStation DS115j is a compact 1-bay NAS server specically designed for

home and personal users to effortlessly share storage across devices. Featuring a simple,
sleek design and low power consumption, DS115j ts elegantly into your living room and
study. Running on Synology DiskStation Manager, DS115j takes full advantage of the rich
features Synology has to offer.

With the built-in oating-point unit, DS115j transcodes audio tracks into MP3 format

on demand to reduce streaming bandwidth and speeds up thumbnail generation

to yield a refreshing photo viewing experience. DS115j reads over 102.89 MB/sec
and writes over 61.59 MB/sec in a Windows® environment.

Tailor-made for the home environment, DS115j silently operates on very low

wattage, making it a pleasant addition to your home as a perfect desktop

companion.

Budget-friendly Surveillance & Backup Server

DS115j serves as a compact NAS server to leverage Synology Surveillance Station.
A full-featured NVR that comes with two free IP camera licenses and supports up to
ve cameras, DS115j is an ideal surveillance solution for home and SOHO use.

DS115j can also function as a centralized backup target to consolidate fragmented

and unstructured data across a network. Windows PC users can back up their data
to DS115j with Windows Backup and a variety of third-party software, while Mac OS

X® users can enjoy native Apple® Time Machine® integration. Synology users can
adopt DS115j as a network backup destination for another Synology NAS with the

built-in Backup & Replication package.

Full Multimedia Features

With DS115j you have many tools to easily manage your multimedia. Photo Station’s

intuitive design allows you to effortlessly organize photos into customized categories,
smart albums, and blog posts; as well as link them to social networking websites like

Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and Weibo with just a few clicks. Audio Station comes with
a built-in lyrics plugin, Internet radio, and support for DLNA®, AirPlay®, and Bluetooth
speakers for quality playback. With Video Station, you can watch movies and TV
shows online and record your favorite programs with a DVB-T, DVB-S or DTMB tuner.

Synology DS115j offers comprehensive network protocol support, assuring seamless

le sharing across Windows, Mac®, and Linux® platforms. Internet le access is
simplied by the encrypted FTP server and the web-based le explorer, File Station.
HTTPS, rewall, and IP auto-block support ensure secure le sharing over the Internet.
Cloud Station allows users to sync les among multiple devices and platforms,
including Windows PC, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android™ tablets or phones, effortlessly
keeping everything up-to-date. Cloud Sync keeps your Dropbox, Google™ Drive
and Baidu storage in sync with your personal DiskStation cloud les at home.

Synology QuickConnect and Mobile Apps

For users whose network environment lacks a public IP address or the ability to
congure port-forwarding, QuickConnect provides a relay service for you to access
your DS115j from anywhere around the globe, even when it’s hidden in a local area
network. With a customizable QuickConnect ID, you can log in to your DS115j via
DSM browser interface, Synology desktop utilities, and mobile apps.

Synology provides mobile apps that let you enjoy the full variety of your multimedia

library even when you’re on the go, allowing you to access the photo albums,
music, and video collection stored at home on your DS115j. Available on iOS,
Android, and Windows Phone platforms, DS photo+, DS audio, and DS video
mobilize your Photo Station, Audio Station, and Video Station, potentially placing
terabytes of content at your ngertips. On top of that, DS download makes it

possible for you to manage and monitor your download tasks remotely while DS le

allows you to manage the les stored on your DS115j.

Easy Setup and Management

Combined with a quick start wizard, users can simultaneously tour the DSM
operating system while setting it up for initial use. For users unfamiliar with
complicated router congurations or those who simply want to save time, the
Synology EZ-Internet Wizard simplies the process of setting up access to your DS115j
via Internet. EZ-Internet Wizard walks you through all network settings including
rewall, port-forwarding, PPPoE setup, and DDNS registration. The multi-tasking web
interface of DSM allows users to run multiple applications simultaneously on one tab
browser and switch between them seamlessly.
