How to Flush the Heat Exchanger
Monthly Cleaning Procedure
in order to keep the chiller hoses and heat exchanger clean and to
1. It is important to first put on the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
A. Neoprene Gloves
B. Safety Goggles
2. Using one (1) of the following cleaners, dissolve cleaner into a stainless steel cylinder (64 oz) filled with hot water
from the tea tower/spigot.
A. One (1) heaping plastic soup spoon (4 teaspoons) of Mirrolite© powder.
B. Two (2) heaping plastic soup spoons (2½ tablespoons) of dishwasher compound.
C. One (1) full plastic soup spoon (4 teaspoons) of liquid Diverforce machine dish detergent.
3. Transport the cleaning solution to the Iced Coffee Chiller and pour the solution into the top tank.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 with a second stainless steel cylinder of cleaning solution.
5. Allow the cleaning solution to drain completely from top tank into the bottom product holding tank.
6. Pour two (2) stainless steel cylinders (128 oz in total) of hot water from the tea tower/spigot into the top tank to
ensure all cleaning solution has been removed.
NOTE: If the two (2) stainless steel cylinders (128 oz in total) of hot water take more than four (4) minutes to drain
into the bottom product holding tank, repeat steps 2 through 7.
7. Drain and discard the waste water.
8. Pour an additional one (1) stainless steel cylinder (64 oz) of hot water from the tea tower/spigot into the top tank to
check for coffee grounds.
9. If coffee grounds are present in the bottom product holding tank, repeat step 8.
REMINDER: Drain and discard the waste water in the bottom product holding tank before each new stainless steel
cylinder (64 oz) of hot water is added to the top tank. This will allow you to properly verify if coffee grounds are still being
flushed out.
