START-UP AND OPERATION
Case Start-Up
@ Note: Illustration “A” (immediately below) shows
standard cord hookup (from case underside).
@ If case must be connected to ceiling outlet (or
feed), illustration “B” below will apply. Caution!
Only certified electricians may make changeover
from factory-shipped lower plug route to upper
route. To do so:
• Remove cup holders to access wireway
between upper end panels.

• Electrical box is located at end of case with
thermometer (as illustrated below). On that
end, remove louvered side grille (lifting
retaining hooks up and out of slots).
• Turn off Main Power Switch.
• Follow instructions in “B” section below.
• See next page for location of temperature
controller.

Temperature Settings
• This case has been tested to maintain a
temperature at or below 4° Celsius / 40°
Fahrenheit.
• The temperature controller is located at the
end of olive bar opposite
the thermometer.
• At that end of the case, remove the louvered
side grille (lifting retaining hooks up and out of
slots). See illustration below.
• At start-up (see previous page for Main Power
Switch), evaporator coil fans and compressor
motor should turn on.
• Remove several olive pans to check that air is
circulating through air return column louvers
(along inside edge of olive bar). See
illustration at top right for sample location.
• If a temperature setting change is required,
refer to the instructions for the Temperature
Control Programming operating section of this
manual
• When the merchandiser is in a start up mode
or has been idle for a long period of time, the
unit will require a 30 minute time frame to
pull-down to proper temperature.

LIGHTING FUNDAMENTALS
Standard Fluorescent Style Light Fixtures
When Olive Bar is plugged in properly and
Main Power Switch is turned on, turn on light
switch under canopy (see illustration at right).
Lights Will Turn On
• The lights should illuminate immediately.
However, first time lighting may require a
short warm-up period for the bulbs.
• Slightly dim or a flickering of new bulbs is
normal.
Lamp Removal / Lamp Installation
Removal of lamps:
• Grasp lamp firmly and carefully pull
downward and out from socket.
• See photos at mid-right.
Installation of lamp:
• Align pins with slot.
• Insert pins into socket and push upward
into place.
• See photos below.
