TROUBLESHOOTING, CONTINUED
Case Is Not Holding Temperature
Is newly added product to case pre-chilled? Product must be chilled prior to being placed in case.
Is the case in the sun during certain times of the day? If so, the sun’s rays can heat product beyond acceptable limits. Consider closing blinds or lowering shades during that time.
Check that the discharge air is not disrupted or blocked by product.
Is Condensing Coil free of dust? Clean Condenser Coil daily.
Check the evaporator coil for ice build up.
Check that the coil fans are working.
Is anything blocking Condensing Coil (at rear of case)? Nothing must block airflow from Condensing Coil.
Case may be in defrost mode. Case temperature will rise during defrost mode but will return to normal.
Is case temperature too warm? Thermostat Set Point may need to be lowered. See Temperature Controller Section in this manual for instructions on changing the Thermostat Set Point.
Is the store’s air conditioning system running properly? Case will not reach its Setpoint (and will not cycle properly) if the store has improper air conditioning settings.
If case is directly under the store’s air conditioning or heating vents, airflow from vents (whether warm or cold) will prevent proper case airflow. Case will not reach its Setpoint (and will not cycle properly) in this environment.
Is the case located near entrance doors? Depending upon outside temperature, variation in case temperature can take place if case is located near entrance doors with wide sweeping motion and heavy foot-traffic.
