Venting System Requirements
The Power Vent is designed to use Schedule 40 ABS, PVC or CPVC pipe installed with 0” clearance from combustible materials. This permits many venting
options when the following requirements are observed. Venting requirements include:
• The water heater must have an independent vent system from the water heater to the exterior of the building
• Venting CANNOT be connected to existing vent piping or chimney.
• Venting MUST terminate horizontally through a side wall or vertically through the roof to the outdoors.
• USE ONLY ABS, PCV, or CPVC Schedule 40 pipe and fittings.

74-gallon model is supplied with 3”, 90° Termination Elbow, plus 3” screen.

Circulating Loop Fittings Package includes assembled di-electric unions and full port shut-off
valves. A standard hose-connect drain valve is included for field installation. Specially designed for
use on side tap recirculating water heaters. Kit must be ordered through Service Parts Department
by calling 1-800-821-8017.
