• Position charging adapter cords so they do not become entangled or become a safety hazard. Keep charging adapter cords away from sharp edges.
• Use in a dry location only.
• Do not open body casing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
• Do not operate the light without the lens in place.
• To reduce risk of damage to electric plug and cord, pull by plug rather than cord when disconnecting.
• Do not attempt to charge the unit if the charger is damaged – return the charger to manufacturer for repair or replacement.
• DO NOT OVERCHARGE: Charge up to 3 hours maximum.

INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on purchasing your new SquidBrite™. Read this Instruction Manual and follow the instructions carefully before using your new SquidBrite™.
CHARGING/RECHARGING THE LIGHT
This unit is shipped in a partially charged state. Charge unit BEFORE first use using the 120 volt AC charger for 2-3 hours or until the red charging status indicator lights solid. Charge after each use.
Charging/recharging using the 120 volt AC charger
• Make sure the light is turned off.
• Insert the barrel connector of the AC charger into the 6 volt DC charging port on the bottom of the unit. Insert the plug end into a (powered) standard North American 120 volt 60Hz outlet. The red charging status LED will flash to indicate the unit is charging.
• Charge for approximately 2-3 hours or until the red charging status indicator lights solid.
CAUTION: DO NOT CHARGE FOR LONGER THAN 2-3 HOURS.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Operating the light
Position the unit, adjusting the flexible stand’s legs or detaching the light and positioning using the magnetic discs as desired. Press the light mode pushbutton on the top of the unit.
Press once for high intensity. Press again for low intensity. Press a third time for to turn the light off. Press and hold the light mode pushbutton for about five seconds for flashing LEDs.

FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
• To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when the light is used near children.
• Use only attachments recommended or sold by the manufacturer.
WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK:
• Do not put light in water or other liquid. Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
• Charge (and use in corded mode) indoors only. Do not expose charger to water or any other liquid.
• Keep light lamp away from materials that may burn.
• Do not clean this appliance with a water spray or the like.
• When an extension cord is used: – The marked rating of the detachable power supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the
electrical rating of this appliance.
– The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be tripped
over, snagged, or pulled on unintentionally (especially by children).
– The extension cord should be kept dry and off the ground.
CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE:
• Do not operate this unit with a missing or damaged bright bar light tube.
• Do not touch the SquidBrite™ light at any time.
• Never look directly into the light or shine the light into another person’s eyes.
• Do not immerse light in water.
• Do not expose this unit to extremely high temperatures, flames or sparks.
• Do not drop or throw light. It contains a nickel metal hydride rechargeable battery pack.
• Use only with AC charging adapter provided with this unit. Plug in the charging adapter at the light first, then plug into the charging source.
• Do not overcharge: Recharge up to 3 hours maximum.
• After charging/recharging, disconnect charging adapter or extension cord and wait 5 minutes before use.
• Do not crush, cut, pull or expose charging adapter cords to extreme heat.
