Thank you for purchasing the Spectra Precision RC601 Remote Control.
These instructions are intended to explain the quick basics to operating this
equipment. If you need any more information, or the unit requires calibration

Compatibility:
For use only with the following Spectra Precision Laser Levels:
HV101 / HV201 / HV301 / HV401 / HV601 & LL100 / LL300 / LL400
and the new "N" range:
LL100N / LL100N-3 / LL100N-5 and LL300N.
Please note:
The RC601 CANNOT be used to turn the Laser ON or OFF (a feature not
available on any Spectra Precision laser levels).
Power source:
Unscrew the battery cover & remove carefully.
Fit 1 x supplied 9V alkaline battery. Take care with correct polarity as marked
on the case. Refit the battery cover. The RC601UK will accept a rechargeable
battery but there is no provision for charging in the remote control. You will
need to charge this battery externally. We would also recommend that a
spare battery is kept in the laser’s carry case, as a back-up.

Product overview:
On Spectra Precision models: HV101, HV201, HV301, HV301G & HV401, the
RC601 remote control allows the User to adjust the laser’s Speed of rotation,
change to Scan mode or in MANUAL mode, adjust single/dual grade settings.
On ALL these models: HV101, HV201, HV301, HV301G, HV401, LL100,
LL100N, LL100N-3, LL100N-5, LL300 & LL300N, the User can adjust single &/
or dual-axis grade (slope) control by selecting MANUAL mode & using the
arrow buttons.
On the model LL400, it allows one-person grade matching.
Keypad operation:
The layout consists of four black “arrow” buttons with 3 yellow buttons
beneath.
Yellow buttons (pictured from left to right):
SCAN function – ROTATIONAL SPEED – AUTO/MANUAL function.
Note: LL models of Spectra laser level are fixed speed with no scan facility.
General advice:
This is an accurate measuring device - so to give good service, look after it!
Prevent the RC601 from receiving severe knocks, bangs or vibration.
It is recommended that this remote control is stored in the laser’s carry case.
If wet, dry before storing & keep in storage temperatures between 5 - 30 deg
C.
For long-term storage, remove the battery - to prevent any internal damage.
There are NO User serviceable parts.
We offer a full Back-up service for all our laser level kits and accessories,
including calibration, servicing & usage advice.
A full range of accessories for the various Trades are also available - on
request.
