2. CHANGE OF BOARDS
The base main board was divided into base RF board and base TEL board. Adjustment, printed wiring boards and schematic diagram of new type, and changed parts list are described in this Supplement-3. Refer to original service manual (9-925-735-11), Supplement-1 (9-925-735-81) and supplement-2 (9-925-735-82) previously issued for the other information.

3. ADJUSTMENTS
3-1. BASE UNIT SECTION
• Perf orm the adjustment at 6CH (RX : 926.55MHz, TX :
903.8MHz) by removing R1 as a rule.
Former Type only
1. RX LOOP VOLTAGE Adjustment
Procedure :
1. Connect the FM rf signal g enerator to ANTENNA point. FM rf signal generator condition :
Carrier frequency : 926.55MHz Modulation : 1kHz Deviation : ± 25kHz Output level : – 50 dBm (EMF)
2. Connect the digital v oltmeter to RX LOOP V (A TE terminal).
3. Adjust the C88 f or 2.0V ± 0.2V reading on the digital v oltmeter .
2. TX LOOP VOLTAGE Adjustment
Procedure :
1. Connect the digital v oltmeter to TX LOOP V (A TE terminal).
2. Adjust the C49 f or 2.0V ± 0.2V reading on the digital v oltmeter .
3. QUAD-TUNE VOLTAGE Adjustment
Procedure :
1. Connect the FM rf signal g enerator to ANTENNA point. FM rf signal generator condition :
Carrier frequency : 903.8MHz Modulation : 1kHz Deviation : ± 25kHz Output level : – 50 dBm (EMF)
2. Connect the digital v oltmeter to RX A UDIO (ATE terminal).
3. Adjust the C87 (Former type), C151 (New type) for 2.2V ± 0.1V reading on the digital v oltmeter .
6. TX DEVIATION Adjustment
Procedure :
1. Connect the modulation meter to ANTENNA point.
2. Adjust the R135 f or DEVIATION = 25kHz ± 1.0kHz reading on
the modulation meter .
7. TX power and TX frequency Confirmation
Procedure :
1. Connect the modulation meter to ANTENNA point.
2. Confirm the TX po wer is – 5 dBm ± 2dB. Confirm the TX frequenc y is 903.8MHz ± 1kHz.

4. 4.0MHz CLOCK REFERENCE Adjustment
Procedure :
1. Connect the frequency counter to IC3 ( pin).
2. Adjust the C92 (Former type), C152 (New type) for 4.0MHz ±
500Hz reading on the frequenc y counter .
5. DEMODULATION LEVEL Adjustment
Procedure :
1. Connect the FM rf signal g enerator to ANTENNA point. FM rf signal generator condition :
Carrier frequency : 903.8MHz Modulation : 1kHz Deviation : ± 25kHz Output level : – 50 dBm (EMF)
2. Connect the modulation meter to IC6 ( !• pin).
3. Adjust the R114 f or 21dBV ± 1dB reading on the modulation meter .

Procedure :
1. Connect the modulation meter to ANTENNA point.
2. Confirm the TX po wer is – 5 dBm ±2dB. Confirm the TX frequenc y is 926.55MHz ±1kHz.

4. 4.0MHz CLOCK REFERRENCE Adjustment
Procedure :
1. Connect the frequenc y counter to IC3 ( pin).
2. Adjust the C92 f or 4.0MHz ± 500Hz reading on the frequenc y
counter .
5. DEMODULATION LEVEL Adjustment
• Remo ve the speaker fr om SP1 (RECEIVER).
• Set [VOL] switch (S19) in “L”.
Procedure :
1. Connect the FM rf signal g enerator to ANTENNA point. FM rf signal generator condition :
Carrier frequenc y : 903.8MHz Modulation : 1kHz Deviation : ± 25kHz Output le vel : – 50 dBm (EMF)
2. Connect the modulation meter to RECEIVER + (A TE ter ­minal)
3. Adjust the R113 f or – 19dBV ± 1dB reading on the modula­tion meter .
