When the speaker system is placed in

the TV screen or the TV remote control
sensor. If the TV remote control sensor
is obstructed by the speaker system,
the remote control may not be able to
control the TV.

To install the speaker units
vertically
Place the subwoofer at least 8 cm

from the wall to avoid damaging the
protruding AC power cord (mains lead).

Attaching the speaker units
onto the support rod of the
subwoofer (Line array style)
1 Pull up the support rods of the
subwoofer.
Unlock the stopper, then pull up
and extend the rods while
pressing the release buttons.
2 Mount the speaker units to the
attachments.
For each speaker unit:
Open the lock lever.
Align the bracket of the speaker
unit with the bracket of the
speaker attachment, then slide
down to attach.

Stopper
Release the buttons and stop the
rods at the position you want.
The rods can be stopped at the
holes in the rods (positioned 370
mm and 470 mm). Then lock the
stopper.
Make sure the support rods are
securely fastened.

Assemble the speaker stands with
using the support rods for the left
and right speaker units.
Before assembling, remove the table
top stands from the speaker units if
they are attached (page25).
1 Unlock the stopper on the
subwoofer, pull up the handle
while pushing down the release
buttons, then fully pull out the
support rods.
2 Disengage the handle base to
separate to the right and left
support rods.

3 Unlock the stopper on each tall
boy stand, mount the support
rod until it locks, then lock the
stopper.
The height of speaker stands is
adjustable in 2 positions.
Adjust the height to the position
you want while pressing the release
button.

4 Open the lock lever on the
support rod, align the brackets
of the speaker unit and the
speaker attachment on the
support rod, then slide down
the speaker unit to attach.
5 Close the lock lever, then fold
away the handle part.

unit upward.
To detach the speaker stand
base
Unlock the stopper, pull out the
support rod from the speaker stand
base while pushing down the

Installing the speaker units on
a wall
Notes
Use screws that are suitable for the

wall material and strength. As a plaster
board wall is especially fragile, attach
the screws securely to a wall stud. Install
the speaker system on a vertical and flat
reinforced area of the wall.
Be sure to subcontract the installation

to Sony dealers or licensed contractors
and pay special attention to safety
during the installation.
Sony is not responsible for accidents

or damage caused by improper
installation, insufficient wall strength,
improper screw installation or natural
calamity, etc.
1 Prepare screws (not supplied)
that are suitable for the holes
on the back of the speaker
system.
2 Drive the screws to the wall.
The screws should protrude 6 mm
to 7 mm from the wall.

To attach the speaker cords (Line array style)
When you install the speaker units on the rod of the subwoofer (Line array
style) (page22), thread the speaker cords into the rubber clips attached
to the speaker cords, then plug them into the clip hole on the rear of the
subwoofer to fasten the cords. By doing this, the system can prevent water
from entering into each terminals when you accidentally splash liquid on the
system, and prevent interference of speaker cords and lightings.
