Addendum to “MAV-555 and DMAT operation manual” about Super Motion System

1. What is Super Motion?

Super motion is 90 frames per second recording that is three times faster than standard motion of 30 frames per
second recording. When you play back a super motion material, you can get very smooth slow motion.

Super motion system consists of super motion camera, video disk recorder and slow motion controller.

Components for Super Motion System

MAV555 or MAV555SS provides slow replay capability while recording.
MAV555 requires BKMA520SS and BKMA530 for super motion configuration with Sony BVP9500WS
camera, and additional BKMA521SS is required to interface with Phillips LDK23 camera.

MAV555SS is a successor model of MAV555 super motion configuration. Main difference is all IO processor
boards for super motion come standard including Phillips LDK23 camera interface board, and also switchable
to standard motion that is comparable to MAV555A/20.

DMAT-MAV-T controller is compatible with MAV555, MAV555A, MAV555SS and MAV777.
