snom SoHo Getting Started Guide
Step 2. Configure the Device
The snom ONE SoHo must be configured with an IP address. Configuration of the IP address can
be done using the following methods:
• Method 1 (for router/switch configurations): If you have a DHCP server, connect the device to your network, and your DHCP server will assign an IP address to it. To determine
which IP address has been assigned to the device, log in to your DHCP server. Once
you have the IP address, enter it into a web browser.
• Method 2 (for SoHo-to-laptop configurations): You can use the IP address that was
statically configured to the device at the factory. This IP address is 192.168.255.25 (the
netmask is 255.255.255.0).
Important! Use this method only if you don’t have a router or switch equipped with a
DHCP server. This method is appropriate for back-to-back configurations (i.e., you are
connecting the SoHo directly to your laptop or PC).
When using this method, be sure to configure your PC so that it corresponds to a
192.168.255.0/255.255.255.0 network. For example:
192.168.255.10 (netmask 255.255.255.0)
192.168.255.24 (netmask 255.255.255.0)
192.168.255.32 (netmask 255.255.255.0)
