EXTERNAL PRINTER – INSTRUCTION SHEET FOR THE CONNECTION
Ink Thermal Transfer Printer
This document provides instructions for connecting the printer to Smeg devices and the configuration instructions.
Refer to the printer manufacturer's manual for any other detailed information.
The printer is used by the Smeg devices to provide the report of the washing cycle in progress.
COMPATIBILITY OF THE ACCESSORY - DEVICES
The accessory can be mounted on the following devices:
GW LINE – GLASSWARE WASHER LABORATORY SECTOR
GAMMA WD – INSTRUMENT WASHER HOSPITAL SECTOR
N.B.
1. The printer can only be installed on devices that are not equipped with integrated thermal printer Smeg "WDPRINTS6010" or "WD-PRINTP6010".
2. The Smeg devices must have updated firmware installed (Firmware Master ver. 4.9.0 - 21.6.2016 - or later).
CONNECTION OF THE PRINTER TO THE WASHING MACHINE
The printer must be connected to the
RS-232 port on your machine using the
supplied cable.
The printer has a dedicated power supply,
which must be connected to the power
supply, as marked on the component.

CONFIGURAZIONE DELLA MACCHINA
Step 1: Turn on the machine and access to the Setup
menu.
Select "Cycles archive", then enter the "Superuser"
password.
Step 2: you gain access to the printer configuration
screen, sch. 1462 "Cycles archive".
Using the commands:
a) Enable printing: flag on "Print enable";
b) select "Ink" (for the WD-PRINTEINK printer, ink
thermal transfer).
c) Select "Normal" to print in standard mode, "Reverse"
to print the report strings “upside-down”.
d) Confirm, pressing the key on the right side of the
screen.
Step 3: Installation completed. During the washing cycle: the device will print a record of the events of the cycle in progress.
For the correct operation of the device, always verify that:
1. The printer is turned on before starting a cycle;
2. The consumables required for operation are not depleted (paper and ink);
3. Consumables materials comply with the requirements of the device manufacturer.
