IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed. These include the following: * READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS * Do not place any part of this toaster in water or any other liquid. * To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or (state specific * part or parts in question) in water or other liquid. * Prior to first use, the toaster should be used for a few minutes without bread in it. There will be some smoke at first ; this is entirely normal. * Do not touch the hot surface. Use handles or knobs. * Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before * Putting on or taking off parts. * If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by an authorized technical service. * Do not use outdoors. * Keep the toaster out of reach of children. * Use only pre-sliced bread. * Do not insert oversized foods, metal foil packages, or metal utensils into the toaster. This may result in electric shock. * Do not use the toaster near curtains, upholstery or other decorative fabrics, as they can easily catch fire and cause a safety hazard. * Do not remove food from the toaster while the plunger is down. * Do not remove the crumb tray while the toaster is plugged in. 1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as

great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and

2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

OPERATION

* Place your toaster on a flat, dry, stable surface. * Plug the toaster in, and adjust it to your required toasting time, using the Timing control (C) * Place bread or other food suitable for toasting into the slot, then press down the start control /plunger (A); * It will remain down until the bread is toasted. The logo will be displayed on the bread. * If you wish to stop the toasting process, press the Cancel/Stop button (B). this will automatically eject the toast, and cancel the heating elements. * If the bread sticks in the toaster, unplug it, wait for it to cool, then remove the bread.

NEVER USE METAL UTENSILS TO REMOVE THE BREAD.

* After use, wipe away crumbs using a dry cloth. * Always allow at least 1 minute’s cooling time between cycles if toaster is being used more than once at a time. * If the lead connecting the toaster to the power supply is damaged, it should only be replaced by a qualified service engineer or the toaster manufacturer. * Always allow at least 1 minute’s cooling time between cycles if toaster is being used more than once at a time.

* Do not immerse in water. * Unplug from the power outlet (mains). * DO NOT use coarse or abrasive sponges/cloths or steel wool to clean the toaster. * Never spray or apply cleaner directly onto or into the toaster – cleaner should be applied to a soft cloth. * The outside of the toaster should be wiped with a soft, damp cloth, and polished with a soft, dry cloth. * After cleaning, wait a few minutes for the toaster to dry completely before use. * An authorized service representative should perform any other servicing.

CONSIGNES IMPORTANTES DE SÉCURITÉ

Vous devez toujours respecter les précautions principales de sécurité lorsque vous utilisez des appareils électriques. Ces précautions sont citées ci-dessous :

• LISEZ TOUTES LES INSTRUCTIONS

• N'immergez aucune partie de ce grille-pain dans l’eau ou dans tout autre liquide.

• Pour éviter tout choc électrique, ne plongez pas le cordon, la fiche électrique (ou la/les pièces propres à la situation) dans l’eau ou dans tout autre liquide.

• Avant de mettre le grille-pain en marche pour la première fois, faites-le marcher pendant quelques minutes sans mettre de pain à l’intérieur. Une fumée peut se dégager lors de la première utilisation, cela est totalement normal.

• Ne contactez pas les surfaces chaudes. Servez-vous des poignées et des boutons.

• Débranchez la fiche électrique de l’appareil lorsque l’appareil n’est pas en usage et avant le nettoyage. Attendez pendant un moment pour que l’appareil refroidisse avant de démonter ou de monter les pièces.

• Dans le cas où le cordon d’alimentation est détérioré, il doit être remplacé par le fabricant ou le centre de service technique autorisé.

• N’utilisez pas dans des espaces libres.

• Tenez le grille-pain hors de la portée des enfants.

• Utilisez uniquement du pain mis en tranche à l’avance.

• N’introduisez pas de grands morceaux d'aliment, de paquets en aluminium ou d’outils de cuisine en métal dans le grille-pain. Cela peut causer un choc électrique.

• N’utilisez pas le grille-pain à proximité des rideaux, des mobiliers ou d’autres textiles décoratifs pouvant s’enflammer facilement et pouvant mettre la sécurité en danger.

• N’essayez pas de sortir l’aliment de l’intérieur du grille-pain lorsque le bras est en position descendue.

• N’essayez pas de retirer le plateau de miettes pendant que le grille-pain est en état branché. Débranchez l’appareil de la prise de courant, attendez qu’il refroidisse et retirez ensuite le plateau de miettes.

• Le pain peut brûler. De ce fait, les grille-pains ne doivent pas être utilisés à proximité ou au-dessous des rideaux ou d’autres matériaux combustibles. Ne vous absentez pas lorsque l’appareil est en marche.

• Les surfaces accessibles de l’appareil peuvent être chaudes lors du fonctionnement de l’appareil. a) Pour minimiser les risques que peut causer l’emmêlement d’un cordon long ou un cordon qui s’étend pendant une longue distance, il convient d’utiliser un cordon d’alimentation court (ou un cordon d’alimentation séparable). b) Il existe des cordons d’alimentation longs séparables ou des cordons d’extension et ils peuvent être utilisés à condition d’être prudent lors de l’usage.

c) En cas d’usage de cordon d’alimentation long et séparable ou de cordon d’extension,

CONSIGNES IMPORTANTES DE SÉCURITÉ

• Cet appareil est doté d’une fiche de terre en vue de minimiser le risque des chocs électriques (L'une des bornes est plus épaisse que l'autre) et cette fiche est conçue afin d'être utilisée sur une prise de terre. Dans le cas où la fiche ne s’adapte pas complètement à la prise, retournez la fiche. Si elle ne s’adapte toujours pas, mettez-vous en contact avec un électricien. N’essayez pas de remplacer la fiche d’une manière ou d’une autre.

• N’utilisez aucun appareil électrique avec un cordon ou une fiche endommagée, n’utilisez pas non plus l’appareil lorsqu’il a fait panne ou lorsqu'il est endommagé d'une façon ou d'une autre. MISE EN MARCHE

• Placez le grille-pain sur une surface plate, sèche et stable.

• Branchez la fiche électrique du grille-pain à la prise de courant et réglez la durée de grillage que vous désirez en vous servant du Contrôle de Temps (C).

• Introduisez par l’ouverture le pain ou un aliment qui est convenable à griller dans l’appareil et pressez le Contrôle de Mise en Marche/le bras (A) vers le bas. Ce bras restera en bas jusqu'à ce que le pain grille. Le logo apparaitra sur le pain.

• Pour arrêter l’opération de grillage, veuillez appuyer sur le bouton d’Annulation (B). Cette opération fera automatiquement sortir le pain à l’extérieur et arrêtera les éléments chauffants.

• Dans le cas où le pain est collé dans le grille-pain, débranchez la fiche électrique de l’appareil et attendez que l’appareil refroidisse, retirez ensuite le pain de l’intérieur de l’appareil.

N’UTILISEZ JAMAIS D’OUTILS DE CUISINE EN MÉTAL POUR RETIRER LE PAIN

• Après avoir utilisé l’appareil, nettoyez les miettes à l’aide d’un chiffon sec.

• Dans le cas où le grille-pain va être utilisé plus d’une fois à la fois, attendez que l’appareil refroidisse pendant 1 minute au minimum entre chaque opération de grillage.

• En cas d’endommagement du cordon qui se raccorde à la source d’alimentation du grille-pain, le cordon doit être remplacé par un technicien de service agréé ou le grille-pain doit être remplacé par le fabricant.

• N’utilisez pas l’appareil lorsqu’il est vide, faites-le toujours marcher avec du pain à l’intérieur.

• Cet appareil est conçu de façon convenable pour l'usage domestique.

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN

INSTRUCTIONS DE NETTOYAGE ET D’ENTRETIEN – ATTENDEZ QUE LE GRILLE-PAIN REFROIDISSE COMPLÈTEMENT AVANT DE DÉMARRER L’OPÉRATION DE NETTOYAGE.

• N’immergez pas l’appareil dans l’eau.

• Débranchez l’appareil de la prise.

• N’utilisez pas d’éponges/de chiffons abrasifs ou de tampons à récurer pour nettoyer le grille-pain.

• Ne pulvérisez pas ou n’exercez pas les matériels de nettoyage directement vers le grille-pain – les produits de nettoyage doivent être utilisé en étant mis sur un chiffon doux.

• La partie extérieure du grille-pain doit être nettoyée à l’aide d’un chiffon sec, humide et elle doit être lustrée à l’aide d’un chiffon sec.

• Après avoir nettoyé le grille-pain, attendez pendant quelques minutes pour qu’il refroidisse avant de le refaire marcher.

• Les autres opérations de services doivent être réalisées par le personnel du service.

BELANGRIJKE VEILIGHEIDSMAATREGELEN

Bij het gebruik van elektrische apparaten moeten volgende essentiële veiligheidsvoorschriften beslist in acht worden genomen: * LEES AANDACHTIG ALLE INSTRUCTIES * Dompel geen enkel onderdeel van deze broodrooster in water of in een andere vloeistof. * Dompel het snoer, de stekker of andere elektrische componenten nooit in water of in een andere vloeistof om elektrische schok te vermijden. * Laat het apparaat enkele minuten functioneren zonder brood voordat u het de eerste keer gebruikt om brood te roosteren. Bij de eerste opwarming kan er een weinig geurof rookvorming ontstaan, dit is een normaal verschijnsel. * Raak de hete delen van het apparaat niet aan. Maak gebruik van handgreep en knoppen om het apparaat te bedienen. * Haal altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact als het apparaat niet wordt gebruikt en voor elke reiniging.
