INSTRUCTION MANUAL

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using this electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:

- Read all instructions.

- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug or sandwich maker into
water or any other liquid.

- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

- Do not use the appliance for unintended use.

- Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning the appliance. Allow to
cool down before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance.

- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

- To reduce the risk of injury, use only accessory attachments if recommended by the
appliance manufacturer.

- Do not use outdoors.

- Do not let cord hang over sharp edges of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

- The bread may burn, therefore do not use the appliance near or below combustible
material, such as curtains.

- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

HOW TO MAKE TOASTED SANDWICHES

Note: All models can be sandwich maker or waffle iron and not as contact grill.

- When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the platens with a piece of damp cloth,
dry cloth or tissue. Then smear the platen with butter, margarine or cooking fat.

- Fit the plug into the socket.

- Close the sandwich maker and prepare sandwich while toaster is heating.

- When the sandwich maker is ready after about 3 minutes the temperature indicator
light (the green one) will be on.

- Fully open the sandwich maker. Place a slice of bread in the bottom half with the
buttered side against the platen.

- Fill the sandwich, pressing the bottom half into the platen.

- Place a slice of bread in the top half with the buttered side up and carefully close the
two parts of the toaster together. Do not force shut. Steam will be ejected from the
opening between the platens while making sandwiches. Care must be taken to ensure
the fingers do not come into contact with hot surfaces and steam.

- Lock the two half with the wire clip while toasting is taking place.
NOTE: During toasting the temperature indicator light will cycle on and off while the
thermostat keeps the appliance at the right temperature. Cook only with metal platen
closed.

- Your sandwich will be toasted in 2-3 minutes or longer to suit your taste. Open the
toaster and remove the sandwich using plastic or wooden spatula. Never use metal knife
as this may damage the non-sticking coating.

- Close the lid to preserve the heat until ready to toast the next sandwich.

- Prepare further sandwiches if required while one is cooked.

- After use, remove the plug from the socket.

SUGGESTIONS FOR BEST RESULTS

- Always preheat before use. Plug in socket outlet while preparing the fillings.

- For soft or liquid sandwich fillings use medium slice of bread, white or brown. If small
amounts of filling, use toasted bread.

- Flavored butter may also be used.

- For added flavor use bacon dripping, brush the dripping on the outside surface of the
bread.

- Suggested garnishes for savory sandwiches, lettuce, mint, cress, stuffed olive halves
onion, tomato, etc.

CLEANING

- A teaspoon of sugar sprinkled on the outside surface of bread makes the sandwich
crisper (especially with fruit fillings).

CLEANING

- After use and before cleaning, remove the plug from the socket and wait for the appliance
cool down.

- Wipe the inside and the edges of the platen with kitchen roll, absorbent paper towel
or a soft cloth.

- Should any filling be difficult to remove, pour a little cooking oil onto the platen and
wipe off after 5 minutes when the filling is softened.

- Wipe the outside with only a slightly moistened cloth to ensure that no moisture, oil or
grease enter the cooling slots.

- Do not clean the inside and outside surface with any abrasive scouring pad or steel
wool as this will damage the finish.

- Use only water or recommended liquid to clean the appliance. Do not use any other
chemical solution to clean the appliance.

ENVIRONMENT

Meaning of crossed –out wheeled dustbin:

Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate

collection facilities.
Contact you local government for information regarding the collection systems available.
If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can

PRÉPARATION DE TOAST

Remarque: Tous les modèles peuvent être utilisés en tant que grille-pain ou machine
à gaufre, ne peuvent être utilisés tant que gril à contact.
Avant de commencer à utiliser l’appareil pour la première fois, essuyez d’abord la surface
des plaques avec un chiffon humide, un tissu sec ou une serviette de table. Huilez les
plaques avec un peu de beurre, de la margarine ou de l’huile comestible.

-Branchez la fiche électrique à la prise de courant.

-Faites descendre la partie supérieure du grille-pain et préparez le toast pendant que
le grille-pain chauffe.

-Lorsque le grille-pain sera prêt à l’emploi dans environ 3 minutes, la lampe de thermostat
s’allumera (lumière verte).

-Ouvrez le couvercle du grille-pain jusqu’à la fin. Mettez une tranche de pain sur la moitié
inférieure de l’appareil de façon à ce que la partie beurré soit en contact avec la plaque.

-Installez les ingrédients sur le pain.

pas de force en fermant. Lorsque le toast cuit, de la vapeur sortira à travers les ouvertures
des plaques. Veillez à ce que vos doigts ne soient pas en contact avec les surfaces
chaudes ou la vapeur.

-Pendant que le toast se prépare, cramponnez la première moitié de la machine avec
le fil.
REMARQUE: Lors du fonctionnement du grille-pain, la lampe indicatrice s’allumera et
s’éteindra avec des intervalles car le thermostat maintien la température à un niveau
précis. Faites la cuisson uniquement lorsque la plaque en métal est en état fermé.

-Votre toast sera prêt dans environ 2-3 minutes, pour un toast plus croustillant, vous
pouvez rallonger la durée. Soulevez le couvercle du grille-pain et enlevez votre toast à
l’aide d’une spatule en plastique ou en bois. N’utilisez jamais de couteau en métal afin
d’éviter d’endommager la surface antiadhésive.

-Si vous souhaitez faire un toast de nouveau, gardez le couvercle fermé afin d’éviter la perte
de chaleur.

-Vous pouvez préparer d’autres toasts pendant que vous en faites cuire un.

-Débranchez la fiche électrique de la prise lorsque vous aurez terminé d’utiliser l’appareil.

CONSEILS POUR OBTENIR DE MEILLEURS RÉSULTATS.

-Attendez que l’appareil chauffe avant d’utiliser l’appareil. Branchez la fiche électrique à la
prise pendant que vous préparez les ingrédients du toast.

-Pour les ingrédients doux ou fluides, préférez une tranche de pain d’épaisseur moyenne blanc
ou brun. Si vous n’allez pas mettre beaucoup d’ingrédients, utilisez du pain de mie.

-Vous pouvez utiliser du beurre aromatisé.

-Pour ajouter de la saveur à votre toast, vous pouvez étaler sur le pain, les graisses sortant du
pastrami ou du saucisson.

-Vous pouvez enrichir vos toasts avec des ingrédients tels que la salade, la menthe, le cresson,
les olives, l’oignon, les tomates, etc.

-Une petite cuillère de sucre parsemée sur la partie extérieure du pain rendra votre toast plus
croustillant (notamment pour les toasts avec des ingrédients de fruits).

NETTOYAGE

-Débranchez la fiche électrique de la prise après avoir utilisé l’appareil ou avant le nettoyage,
et attendez que l’appareil refroidisse.

-Essuyez la partie intérieure de la plaque et les bords avec une serviette en papier ou avec un
chiffon doux.

-Si un matériel difficile à détacher s’est collé sur la surface de la plaque, versez un peu d’huile
comestible sur la plaque et attendez pendant 5 minutes que le matériel se radoucisse puis
nettoyez en essuyant.

-Pour éviter que de l’humidité, de l’huile ou de la graisse ne s’introduise à l’intérieur à travers
les ventouses, essuyez la partie extérieure de l’appareil uniquement avec un chiffon légèrement
humide.

-Pour éviter que le revêtement ne s’endommage, ne tentez pas de nettoyer les surfaces
intérieures et extérieures de l’appareil avec des chiffons abrasifs ou des éponges grattantes
de vaisselle.

-Pour nettoyer l’appareil, utilisez uniquement de l’eau et les détergents qui sont conseillés.
N’utilisez pas d’autres produits chimiques pour nettoyer l’appareil.
N’immergez jamais l’appareil dans l’eau ou dans tout autre liquide.
