IntheTV80,thepresentationofsensordataisorganizedinviews.Theviewsprovideyou withtheinformationyouneedtocontrolthefunctionalityandtheoperationalparameters. IntheTV80,youcanuseamaximumoffourviewssimultaneously.Ifyouuselessthan fourviews,youcanchoosetheirlayoutaccordingtoyouroperationalrequirementsor personalpreferences.

Thequalityoftheacousticcommunicationlinkbetweenthesensorsandthereceivercanbe challengedbynoise.Whennoiseappearsinthesamefrequencyrangeasthesensorsare usingfortheircommunication,theresultinginformationmaybeunstableorunreadable. TheTV80offersaspectrumanalyserthatshowsyouthesignalsfromeachhydrophone. ThegraphintheSpectrumdialogboxprovidesyouwithinformationaboutthebackground noiseandthesignalstrengthintheselectedfrequencyband.Withthisinformationyoucan identifynoiseandndthe"cleanest"frequencies.

EquipmentmanufacturedbyKongsbergMaritimeisfrequentlyconnectedtothevessel's localareanetwork(LAN).Whenyouconnectacomputertoalocalareanetworkyouwill alwaysexposethedataonthatcomputer.Allothercomputersconnectedtothesame networkmaybeabletoaccessyourdata.Severalthreatsmayimmediatelyoccur:
•Remotecomputerscanreadthedata.
•Remotecomputerscanchangethedata.
•Remotecomputerscanchangethebehaviourofthecomputer,forexamplebyinstalling unwantedsoftware.
