Electrical Safety

a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in

any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodiﬁed plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of

electric shock

b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as

pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk

of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded

c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a

power tool will increase the risk of electric shock

d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or

unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk

of electric shock

e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord

suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces

the risk of electric shock

f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use

a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD

reduces the risk of electric shock

Personal Safety

a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when

operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the inﬂuence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of

inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury

b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection.

Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries

c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-

position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your ﬁnger

on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents

d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool

on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool

may result in personal injury

e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.

This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations

f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep

your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts

g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and

collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used.

Power Tool Use & Care

a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your

application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the

rate for which it was designed

b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off.

Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired

c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack

from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures

reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally

d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow

persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of

untrained users

e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving

parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power

tools

f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools

with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control

g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance

with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations

different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation

Service

a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualiﬁed repair person using

only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the

power tool is maintained

Wet & Dry Vacuum Safety

WARNING: ALWAYS disconnect from the power supply before opening the unit, cleaning, carrying out maintenance, or when the unit is not in use.

a) NEVER pull on the power cable to remove the plug from the power

point. This could cause damage to the power cable, the vacuum cleaner and the power point.

b) DO NOT allow the vacuum to pass over the power cable. This could cause damage to the internal wires.

c) DO NOT vacuum the following items:

• burning matches

• glowing ashes

• cigarette ends

• corrosives

• ﬂammable or explosive substances d) Use this product only for the purposes for which it is intended. Other

applications may be dangerous, and lead to serious injury and/or property damage.

e) Take great care when cleaning stairs. Ensure the vacuum is placed on a secure, lower level, to avoid the danger of the vacuum falling on to the user.

Intended Use

Heavy duty domestic vacuum cleaner suitable for wet and dry cleaning applications around the home, garage and workshop.

Unpacking Your Tool

• Carefully unpack and inspect your new tool. Familiarise yourself with all its features and functions

• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool

Before Use

WARNING: Ensure the tool is disconnected from the power supply before attaching or changing any accessories, or making any adjustments.

Wheel installation

1. Take the Tank (4) section of the vacuum cleaner and place it upside down on a secure ﬂat surface with the Lid (9) off

2. Attach the Rear Wheel Mounts (15) to the mounting points at the rear of the Tank (Image A)

3. Attach the Front Wheel Mounts (18) to the mounting points at the front of the Tank

4. Secure the wheel mounts in place using the Wheel Fixing Screws (19)

5. Push the Rear Wheels (15) onto the Rear Wheel Mounts protruding axle

6. Push the Caster Assembly (17) into the holes in the Front Wheel Mounts to secure into place

7. Turn the Tank upright onto its wheels

Vacuum assembly

1. Fit the Foam Filter (23) by sliding it gently over the Filter Frame (14)

2. Fit the Dust Bag (20) over the Inlet Coupling (7) (Image B)

3. Replace the Lid (9) on top of the Tank (4)

4. Ensure the Power Take Off Socket (13) is directly above the Air Inlet (6)

5. Fasten both Lid Clamps (8)

Hose assembly

1. Fit the Vacuum Connector (1) to the Air Inlet (6), by aligning the notch in the Vacuum Connector with the slot in the Air Inlet and push-ﬁt into place

2. Insert the larger end of the Extending Tube (24) into the free end of the Flexible Hose (2)

Note: The Extending Tubes length can be adjusted by releasing the Tube Latch (25) and pulling the two ends apart to the desired length.

3. Attach the desired hose accessory to the free end of the Extending Tube

Operation

Power take off socket operation

• The Power Take Off (PTO) Socket (13) provides power to external devices. The PTO is designed to be used in conjunction with an external machine that requires dust extraction

• Connect the Flexible Hose (2) to the dust extraction port on the external machine

• With the On/Off Switch (12) in the ‘II’ position, the vacuum can be controlled using the connected machine’s current draw

• The vacuum will power itself ‘on’ to work in conjunction with the machine that is connected

• When the machine connected to the Power Take Off (PTO) Switch is switched ‘off’ the vacuum will simultaneously switch ‘off’

Note: For European users re-use the supplied UK converter plug ﬁtted to the mains cable to use the built-in Power Take Off (PTO) Socket with CEE 7/4 and CEE 7/7 plugs. For CEE 7/16 plugs the EU to UK Converter Plug (279528) is required and for CEE 7/17 plugs the EU to UK Converter Plug (693451) is required both additional purchases.

Wet and dry vacuum cleaning

Note: When using the vacuum for dry use ﬁt the Dust Bag (20).

1. Check the On/Off Switch (12) is in the '0' (OFF) position

2. Plug the Mains Cable (11) into the mains power supply (See ‘Speciﬁcation’)

Note: The Power Take Off Socket (13) will provide power once the vacuum has been connected to the mains supply.

3. Switch the vacuum on by pressing 'I' on the On/Off Switch

4. Switch the vacuum off by pressing the On/Off Switch into the ‘0’ position

Notes:

• Ensure the inside of the Tank (4) and the Filter Frame (14) are clean and free from dirt before operating

• Make sure the Drain Cap (3) is closed and hand tight

• When the Tank is full, the ﬂoat valve within the Filter Frame will close. There will be an increase in motor speed and loss of suction when this happens.

• The Extending Tube (24) can be adjusted to suit the user. Release the Tube Latch (25) to adjust the length

Draining the liquid

WARNING: ALWAYS disconnect from the power supply before carrying out

any inspection, maintenance or cleaning.

1. Disconnect any attachments from the end of the vacuum hose

2. Lift the end of the Flexible Hose (2) up above head height so that any liquid runs down into the Tank (4)

3. Position your vacuum cleaner so the Drain Cap (3) is above the drainage area

Note: Make sure that no perishable object or material is within 3 metres of the Drain Cap.

4. Unscrew the Drain Cap and allow the liquid to drain. Undo the Lid Clamps (8) and remove the Lid (9)

5. Tip the rest of the liquid out of the Tank into the drainage area

Blowing

1. Ensure the inside of the Tank (4) and the Filter Frame (14) are clean and free from dirt before operating

2. Ensure the Foam Filter (23) is clean and dry, and ﬁtted to the Filter Frame

3. Replace the Lid (9) on top of the Tank

4. Close both Lid Clamps (8)

5. Remove the plastic Air Outlet Cover (26) already ﬁtted to the Air Outlet (10). It has a small clip underneath so press at the underside of the cover before pulling out

6. Attach the Flexible Hose (2) to the Air Outlet

WARNING: Point the small end of the Flexible Hose well away from any object or person; debris may be ejected from the hose end

7. Switch on the vacuum cleaner by pressing the On/Off Switch (12) into the ‘I’ position

8. Wait a few minutes for waste to be released from the end of the hose before blowing

Using the Power Take Off (PTO) function

Note: This vacuum cleaner can be used to power another electrical device,

e.g. a power tool, up to 2000W.

1. Check that the On/Off Switch (12) is in the '0' (OFF) position

2. Connect the vacuum to the mains power supply

WARNING: If the device has a power switch, make sure it is switched OFF before plugging into the Power Take Off Socket (13)

3. Plug the device into the Power Take Off Socket (power will be automatically provided through the PTO Socket)

Note: If using the vacuum cleaner as a dust extraction device, connect the Flexible Hose (2) to the tools dust extraction port, before powering on.

4. Press the On/Off Switch to 'II' (ON) to start the vacuum cleaner

Maintenance

WARNING: ALWAYS disconnect from the power supply before carrying out any inspection, maintenance or cleaning.

General inspection

• Regularly check that all the ﬁxing screws are tight

• Inspect the supply cord of the tool, prior to each use, for damage or wear. Repairs should be carried out by an authorised Silverline service centre. This advice also applies to extension cords used with this tool

Cleaning

• Keep your tool clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear quickly, and shorten the machine’s service life. Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush, or dry cloth. If available, use clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes

• Clean the tool casing with a soft damp cloth using a mild detergent. Do not use alcohol, petrol or strong cleaning agents

• Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts

Filter cleaning

Note: A clogged ﬁlter will cause suction power and cleaning efﬁciency to

deteriorate. Check whether the ﬁlter is blocked if performance deteriorates.

• Detach the Lid (9), to gain access to the Foam Filter (23)

• Remove and clean the Filter using a brush and dry compressed air

Lubrication

• Slightly lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals with a suitable spray lubricant

Storage

• Store this tool carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children

Disposal

Always adhere to national regulations when disposing of power tools that are no longer functional and are not viable for repair.

• Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), with household waste

• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the correct way to dispose of power tools

The guarantee claim must be submitted during the guarantee period. You must provide the original sales receipt indicating the purchase date,

You must provide precise details of the fault requiring correction. Claims made within the guarantee period will be veriﬁed by Silverline Tools to

establish if the deﬁciencies are related to material or manufacturing of the product. Carriage will not be refunded. Items for return must be in a suitably clean and safe

state for repair, and should be packaged carefully to prevent damage or injury during transportation. We may reject unsuitable or unsafe deliveries.

All work will be carried out by Silverline Tools or its authorized repair agents.

The repair or replacement of the product will not extend the period of guarantee

Defects recognised by us as being covered by the guarantee shall be corrected by means of repair of the tool, free of charge (excluding carriage charges) or by replacement with a tool in perfect working order.

Retained tools, or parts, for which a replacement has been issued, will become the property of Silverline Tools.

The repair or replacement of your product under guarantee provides beneﬁts which are additional to and do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

What is not covered:

Silverline Tools does not guarantee repairs required as a result of: Normal wear and tear caused by use in accordance with the operating instructions

eg blades, brushes, belts, bulbs, batteries etc. The replacement of any provided accessories drill bits, blades, sanding sheets,

cutting discs and other related items. Accidental damage, faults caused by negligent use or care, misuse, neglect,

careless operation or handling of the product. Use of the product for anything other than normal domestic purposes. Change or modiﬁcation of the product in any way. Use of parts and accessories which are not genuine Silverline Tools components. Faulty installation (except installed by Silverline Tools). Repairs or alterations carried out by parties other than Silverline Tools or its

authorized repair agents. Claims other than the right to correction of faults on the tool named in these

guarantee conditions are not covered by the guarantee.

Battery Guarantee

Silverline batteries are guaranteed for 30 days. If a defect occurs on a registered battery during the term of the Battery Guarantee, due to material or manufacturing fault, then Silverline will replace it free of charge. This guarantee does not apply to commercial use nor does it extend to normal wear and tear or damage as a result of accident, abuse or misuse.

Sécurité sur la zone de travail

a. Maintenir une zone de travail propre et bien éclairée. Des zones

encombrées et mal éclairées sont sources d’accidents.

b. Ne pas utiliser d’outils électriques dans des environnements explosifs, tels qu’à proximité de liquides, de gaz ou de poussières inﬂammables. Les outils électriques produisent des étincelles

susceptibles d’enﬂammer la poussière ou les vapeurs présentes.

c. Éloigner les enfants et les passants pendant l’utilisation d’un outil électrique. Ceux-ci pourraient vous distraire et vous faire perdre la

maîtrise de l’appareil.

Sécurité électrique

a. Les prises des outils électriques doivent correspondre aux prises du secteur. Ne modiﬁez jamais la prise en aucune façon. N’utilisez jamais d’adaptateur avec les outils électriques mis à la terre. Des

prises non modiﬁées, adaptées aux boîtiers de prise de courant, réduiront les risques de décharge électrique.

b. Éviter le contact corporel avec les surfaces mises à la terre telles que tuyaux, radiateurs, cuisinières et réfrigérateurs. Le risque de

décharge électrique est plus important si votre corps est mis à la terre.

c. Ne pas exposer votre outil électrique à la pluie ou à l’humidité. L’inﬁltration d’eau dans un outil électrique augmentera le risque de

décharge électrique.

d. Ne pas maltraiter le cordon électrique. N’utilisez jamais le cordon électrique pour porter, tirer ou débrancher l’outil électrique. Conservez le cordon électrique à l’écart de la chaleur, de l’essence, de bords tranchants ou de pièces en mouvement. Un

cordon électrique endommagé ou entortillé accroît le risque de décharge électrique.

e. Au cas où l’outil électroportatif serait utilisé à l’extérieur, servez-vous d’une rallonge appropriée à une utilisation en extérieur. Cela réduit le risque de décharge électrique.

f. Si une utilisation de l’outil dans un environnement humide ne peut être évitée, utilisez une alimentation protégée par un disjoncteur différentiel. L’utilisation d’un disjoncteur différentiel réduit le risque de

décharge électrique.

Sécurité des personnes

a. Rester vigilant et faire preuve de sens lors de la manipulation de l’outil. Ne pas utiliser d’outil électrique en état de fatigue ou sous l’inﬂuence de drogues, d’alcool ou de médicaments. Un

moment d’inattention pendant l’utilisation d’un outil électrique peut se traduire par des blessures graves.

b. Porter des équipements de protection. Porter toujours des lunettes de protection. Le port d’équipements de protection tels que des

masques à poussières, des chaussures de sécurité antidérapantes, un casque de sécurité ou des protections antibruit, selon le travail à effectuer, réduira le risque de blessures aux personnes.

c. Éviter tout démarrage accidentel. S’assurer que l’interrupteur marche-arrêt soit en position d’arrêt (Off) avant de brancher l’outil sur l’alimentation secteur. Porter un outil électrique tout en maintenant

le doigt posé sur l’interrupteur ou brancher un outil électrique dont l’interrupteur est sur la position de marche (On) est source d’accidents.

d. Enlever toute clé ou tout instrument de réglage avant de mettre l’outil électrique en marche. Une clé ou un instrument de réglage laissé

ﬁxé à un élément en rotation de l’outil électrique peut entraîner des blessures physiques.

e. Ne pas essayer d’atteindre une zone hors de portée. Se tenir toujours en position stable et conserver l’équilibre. Cela permet de mieux contrôler l’outil électrique dans des situations inattendues.

f. Porter des vêtements appropriés. Ne pas porter de vêtements amples ou des bijoux pendants. Les vêtements amples, les bijoux

pendants ou les cheveux longs peuvent être happé par les pièces en mouvement.

g. Si l’outil est pourvu de dispositifs destinés au raccord d’équipements d’extraction et de récupération de la poussière/ sciure, s’assurer qu’ils soient bien ﬁxés et utilisés correctement. L’utilisation de ces dispositifs peut réduire les risques dus à la poussière.

Utilisation et entretien des outils électriques

a. Ne pas surcharger l’outil électrique. Utiliser l’outil électrique approprié au travail à effectuer. Un outil électrique adapté et employé

au rythme pour lequel il a été conçu permettra de réaliser un travail de meilleure qualité et dans de meilleures conditions de sécurité.

b. Ne pas utiliser un outil électrique dont l’interrupteur marche-arrêt est hors service. Tout outil électrique dont la commande ne s’effectue

plus par l’interrupteur marche-arrêt est dangereux et doit être réparé.

c. Débrancher l’outil électrique avant d’effectuer tout réglage, changement d’accessoire ou avant de le ranger. De telles mesures

préventives réduiront les risques de démarrage accidentel.

d. Ranger les outils électriques inutilisés hors de portée des enfants et ne pas permettre l’utilisation de ces outils aux personnes novices ou n’ayant pas connaissance de ces instructions. Les outils

électriques sont dangereux dans les mains d’utilisateurs inexpérimentés.

e. Veiller à l’entretien des outils électriques. Vériﬁer que les éléments rotatifs soient bien alignés et non grippés. S’assurer de l’absence de pièces cassées ou endommagées susceptibles de nuire au bon fonctionnement de l'outil. Si l’outil électrique est endommagé, le faire réparer avant toute utilisation. g. Utiliser l’outil électrique, les accessoires et les outils à monter, etc., conformément à ces instructions et selon l’utilisation prévue pour le type d’outil donné, en tenant compte des conditions de travail et de la tâche à réaliser. Toute utilisation de cet outil électrique autre que

celle pour laquelle il a été conçu peut entraîner des situations à risque et entraînerait une annulation de sa garantie.

Entretien

a) Ne faire réparer l’outil électrique que par un réparateur qualiﬁé utilisant uniquement des pièces de rechange identiques. Cela

permettra d’assurer la sûreté continue de cet outil électrique.

Consignes de sécurité relatives à l’utilisation d’aspirateurs

D’autres utilisations peuvent être dangereuses et causer des blessures graves/des dommages matériels.

Déballer votre produit

• Déballez le produit avec soin. Veillez à retirer tous les matériaux d’emballage et familiarisez-vous avec toutes les caractéristiques du produit.

• Si des pièces sont endommagées ou manquantes, faites-les réparer ou remplacer avant d’utiliser l’appareil.

Avant utilisation

ATTENTION : Assurez-vous que l’outil est débranché avant d’installer ou de changer un accessoire ou d’effectuer des réglages.

Installation des roulettes

1. Disposez la cuve (4) de l’aspirateur à l’envers sur une surface plane et sûre sans son couvercle (9)

2. Installez les supports des roulettes arrière (15) sur les points de montage situés à l’arrière de la cuve (Image A)

3. Installez les supports des roulettes avant (18) sur les points de montage situés à l’avant de la cuve

4. Fixez les supports des roulettes en utilisant les vis de montage des roulettes (19)

5. Poussez les roulettes arrière (15) sur l’axe des supports des roulettes arrière

6. Poussez les roulettes (17) dans l’oriﬁce des supports des roulettes avant

7. Retournez la cuve pour qu’elle soit à l’endroit et sur ses roues.

Assemblage de l’aspirateur

1. Installez le ﬁltre en mousse (23) en le glissant sur le cadre du ﬁltre (14)

2. Installez le sac à poussières (20) sur le raccord d’entrée (7) (Image B)

3. Replacez le couvercle (9) sur le dessus de la cuve (4)

4. Assurez-vous que la prise de courant embarquée (13) est située

directement au-dessus de l’entrée d’air (6)

5. Fermez les deux clips de fermeture du couvercle (8).

Assemblage du tuyau

1. Pour installer le raccord d’aspiration (1) sur l’entrée d’air (6), alignez

l’ergot du raccord d’aspiration avec l’encoche de l’entrée d’air puis poussez-le jusqu’à ce qu’il s’enclenche

2. Insérez l’extrémité la plus large du tube télescopique (24) sur l’extrémité

libre du tuyau d’aspiration (2). Remarque : La longueur du tube télescopique peut être réglée en poussant

le bouton de verrouillage du tube et en faisant glisser les deux parties du tube jusqu’à atteindre la longueur désirée.

3. Installez l’accessoire désiré sur l’extrémité libre du tube télescopique

Instructions d’utilisation

Utilisation de la prise de courant intégrée

• La prise de courant intégrée (13) permet de fournir du courant à des appareils externes. Elle est également conçue pour être utilisée avec un autre appareil externe nécessitant un dispositif d’extraction de poussières.

• Connectez le tuyau d’aspiration (2) au dispositif d’extraction des poussières de l’appareil externe.

• En positionnant l’interrupteur (12) sur le « II », l’aspirateur peut être contrôlé en utilisant le dispositif de l’appareil connecté.

• L’aspirateur se règlera automatiquement pour fonctionner conjointement à l’appareil connecté

• Lorsque l’appareil connecté sur la prise de courant intégrée est éteint, l’aspirateur s’éteindra automatiquement au même moment.

Remarque : Les utilisateurs européens doivent brancher l’adaptateur pour prise anglaise fourni sur le câble secteur aﬁn d’utiliser la sortie prise de force pourvue de ﬁches CEE 7/4 et CEE 7/7. Pour les ﬁches de type CEE 7/16, un adaptateur UE – GB (Réf. 279528) est nécessaire, et pour une ﬁche de type CEE 7/17, vous aurez besoin d’un adaptateur UE – GB (Réf. 69345). Ces deux adaptateurs sont vendus séparément.
